Beloved of All
I want to say thank you for praying for me you have Thank you because I was able to talk to my cousin I was able to say to my cousin that 4 we're not being able to be the last day with my momHe judged me for not going to the hospital that day but I was able to goExcited to judge me to judgeNow being with my momI told her to have empathy and to understand my painI she decided to to judge meAnd said to me that I was a bad daughter when in fact in reality I was in pain andIn deep pain because I was losing my mom. She judge me and my mom side of the family judge me I sat with her for 2 hours and I told her to have empathy and that if she is ever in the same situation I was I was going to pray and suppkrt her and not judge her, I feel better my heart is free because I told her I forgive her. Also thank you for praying for me

We rejoice with you and thank God with you for the freedom you are feeling and for the courage He gave you to speak truth in love to your cousin. We hear your deep pain in losing your mom and the added hurt of being judged by your cousin and your mom's side of the family for not being at the hospital that last day. The Lord sees that pain and He understands grief more deeply than any person can.

The scripture reminds us how serious it is to judge one another in a time of suffering. Matthew 7:1-2 says Don't judge, so that you won't be judged. For with whatever judgment you judge, you will be judged, and with whatever measure you measure, it will be measured to you. There is only one true Judge, and James 4:12 tells us there is one lawgiver who is able to save and to destroy, but who are you to judge another. Your cousin's words that you were a bad daughter were harsh and not rooted in empathy or truth, and we gently rebuke that spirit of judgment, for God calls us instead to bear one another's burdens and to weep with those who weep as Romans 12:15 teaches.

We commend you for choosing the path of forgiveness. You sat with her for two hours, you asked for empathy, you told her you forgive her and that you would pray for and support her rather than judge her if she were ever in that same place of loss. That is Christlike. Ephesians 4:32 says And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you. And Colossians 3:13 says bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, if any man has a complaint against any, even as Christ forgave you, so you also do. By forgiving you have released your own heart from bitterness, and that is why your heart feels free. We encourage you to continue to guard that freedom and not let resentment return, even if others in the family continue to misunderstand you.

We also want to lift up your grief before the Lord, because losing your mom is a deep wound that only He can heal. Psalm 34:18 says Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Psalm 147:3 says He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds. And Jesus promised in Matthew 5:4 Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted. It was not a lack of love that kept you from that last day, it was the overwhelming reality of pain and loss, and God knows your heart fully even when people do not.

We noticed your thank you did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to gently remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and that our prayers are heard. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. We are saved by believing that Jesus died for our sins and rose again, and by confessing Him as Lord. Romans 10:9 says that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. We pray you know this hope personally, that your grief is held in His hands and your forgiveness flows from His forgiveness of you.

We pray together for you now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we thank You for our sister and for the work You have done in her heart. Thank You for giving her the strength to speak with her cousin with grace and truth and to offer forgiveness. We ask You to continue to heal her broken heart over the loss of her mom, to bind up her wounds and to comfort her in her mourning as only You can. Lord, we pray for her cousin and for that side of the family, that You would soften their hearts, give them empathy and understanding, and remove a judgmental spirit. Help them to be reconciled in love and peace. Teach us all to live as Romans 12:18 says If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men. Keep our sister's heart free from bitterness and fill her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Draw her ever closer to Jesus, in whose name we have forgiveness and eternal hope. Amen.

We will continue to pray for you as you walk through this grief. Keep choosing forgiveness, keep praying for those who have judged you, and keep bringing your pain to the Lord who is near to you. He will carry you and give you rest.

We were so thankful to get your update and to hear how that conversation with your cousin went. Sitting with her for two hours and telling her honestly about not being there that last day, about the deep pain of losing your mom, and asking for empathy instead of judgment took real courage.

Being judged as a bad daughter while you were already grieving is a second wound on top of the loss itself, so we understand why it has hurt for so long. It is a meaningful step that you were able to say out loud that you forgive her, and we hear the freedom you are feeling in your heart since then.

Forgiveness often happens in two parts. There is the decision to release the need to get even or hold the debt against someone, which you made so clearly when you spoke to her. And then there is the slower emotional healing, where resentment and hurt gradually ease and are replaced with more peace and even compassion. It is normal if some of the ache still rises up at times even after you have chosen to forgive. That does not undo your decision.

As you continue to grieve your mom, be gentle with yourself in the weeks ahead. Grief tends to come in waves, and family tension can make it harder. Staying close to one or two safe, kind people who will listen without judging can help, and giving yourself your own way to remember and honor your mom can be healing too.

Father, thank You for the courage You gave our sister to speak the truth in love and to offer forgiveness. We ask You to keep softening her heart with Your peace, to comfort her in the grief of losing her mom, and to surround her with understanding and support in the days ahead. In Jesus' name, amen.

How good it is to hear from you again and to learn that the Lord gave you strength to speak openly with your cousin. Thank you for sharing what has been upon your heart.

To lose a mother is a deep and tender sorrow, and to bear that sorrow while feeling judged by those nearest to you adds a heavy burden. It is understandable that you felt pain when you were called a bad daughter, when in truth you were suffering the grief of parting. That you were able to sit for two hours, to ask for empathy, to speak of your pain and to extend forgiveness is a gracious work, and I rejoice that your heart now feels more free.

Scripture tells us there is forgiveness with God, and that truth is the well from which our forgiveness of others must flow. The forgiveness which God gives in Christ is divine forgiveness, surprising forgiveness, complete and eternal. He forgives not partially but fully, and He continues daily to forgive those who come to Him through Jesus. When we have tasted such mercy ourselves, to forgive others becomes our calling and our privilege, even as Christ forgave us, so also are we to forgive.

You have done well to forgive as you have been forgiven. To say, I forgive you, and to pray for and support one who has wounded you rather than to judge in return, is to walk in the pattern Christ has set before us. It does not remove the hurt at once, nor does it say the words spoken against you did not wound, but it releases the debt into the hands of Him who judges righteously and it keeps your own heart from being bound by bitterness.

Continue to bring your grief and your family before the Lord. He knows the days you spent with your mother, He knows the pain of that last day, and He sees every tear. Ask Him to keep your heart tender toward your cousin and your mother's family, to give them also eyes to see with compassion, and to guard you from carrying again the weight you have now laid down. If old feelings of hurt return, remember the completeness of the forgiveness you have received from Christ and ask Him to help you to forgive again, as He so graciously forgives you.

I thank God with you for this step toward peace, and we will continue to pray for you, that the Lord will comfort you in your mourning, establish you in His forgiveness, and keep your heart free and at rest in Him.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Thank you for sharing this update and for letting us know how God has been working in your heart. We rejoice to hear that you were able to speak with your cousin and that your heart now feels more free and at peace. That freedom is a gracious gift from God when we choose to release hurt and offer forgiveness.

Losing your mother is a deep and painful sorrow, and to carry that grief while also feeling judged by family is an added burden. It is understandable that their words wounded you. When we are in great pain, we most need gentleness and understanding from those near to us, not condemnation. The Lord sees your pain and your love for your mother, and He draws near to the brokenhearted to comfort them.

Scripture reminds us that the way we judge others becomes the measure by which we ourselves will be judged, so we are called not to upbraid or trample on one another, but to speak the truth with tenderness and to correct with humility. You did well to ask for empathy and to tell your cousin that you would respond with prayer and support rather than judgment if she were ever in the same place. That is the spirit of Christ, who shows great lovingkindness and patience toward us, giving time for repentance and healing rather than bringing immediate condemnation.

We also hear the grace in your words that you told her you forgive her. Forgiveness reflects what God has done for us in Christ. We forgive as we have been forgiven, not because the hurt was small, but because Christ has forgiven our much greater debt and has committed to us the word of reconciliation, calling us to be peacemakers. Forgiveness does not always mean that trust is instantly restored or that all pain disappears, but it does free our hearts from carrying bitterness and leaves judgment in the hands of God, who judges justly and mercifully.

We will continue to pray for you. We ask God to comfort you in your grief over your mother, to heal the hurt caused by those judgments, and to keep your heart free and tender before Him. We pray also for your cousin and for your mother's side of the family, that God would give them understanding, soften any hardness, and bring reconciliation where possible. May the Lord strengthen you to continue walking in forgiveness and peace, and may He fill the place of loss with His own presence and hope through Jesus Christ, in whom alone we have salvation and rest.
