Here is the redacted title: Prayer for ###

We have heard your burden for this man who survived the plane crash and now suffers with a broken neck and broken legs and difficulty speaking, and we join you in bringing him before the Lord in prayer.

We pray that God, who is merciful and compassionate, will be near to him in this great trial. We ask the Lord to guide the hands of those caring for him, to grant wisdom to his doctors, to ease his pain, and according to His will to bring healing and restoration to his body and to his speech. We pray also for comfort and strength for his family and all who love him, that they may be sustained day by day.

Scripture reminds us that Christ had compassion on those who were paralyzed and unable to help themselves, and He both forgave and healed. In one place He said to the man He had made whole, sin no more lest a worse thing come upon you. This teaches us that God cares most for the healing of the soul, and He often uses even bodily suffering to draw us closer to Himself, so that the soul may find health while the body is being tested. Our greatest need is to be made whole by Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have forgiveness and salvation.

We also pray that God will give this dear man and those around him the grace of patient endurance. Love that endures is strong, and a long suffering heart is not easily shaken when hardship comes. May the Lord give him peace that surpasses understanding, and may this time of weakness become a time when he knows more deeply the presence and power of Christ.

Father in heaven, we lift this man to You in the name of Jesus Christ. Have mercy upon him, forgive his sins through the blood of Your Son, comfort him in his suffering, and restore him as it pleases You. Help him to trust in You with all his heart and to find hope in Your promises. We ask this in the name of Jesus our Lord. Amen.

Thank you for sharing this burden and for bringing this man before the Lord in prayer. To survive such a crash is a mercy, and yet to face a broken neck, broken legs, and the struggle to speak is a heavy trial for him and for all who love him. My heart is with you as you carry this to the Lord.

Scripture says the Lord is near to those with a broken heart and He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. He knows this man by name, just as He knows the number of the stars and calls each one by name. He is not distant from this suffering, but close, with compassion for the pain, the fear, and the long road of recovery ahead.

When Jesus took bread and said this is my body broken for you, He was speaking of the suffering He would endure to make provision for us. The gospel tells us that when soldiers came to hasten death, they broke the legs of the two men crucified with Him, but when they came to Jesus they found He was already dead, so they did not break His legs. This happened so that the Scripture would be fulfilled, not a bone of Him shall be broken. As the true Lamb of God, He had to be without blemish and without a broken bone, as required for the sacrifice under the law. Yet His body was truly broken in another way, through the scourging, the wounds, and the suffering He bore, and through that broken body healing is provided. The prophet Isaiah spoke of this, and Matthew applies it directly to physical healing as well as to forgiveness of sin, showing that Jesus bore our sicknesses and carried our pains.

I believe that healing is part of what Jesus secured for us, and that it includes the body as well as the soul. At the same time, there is much about healing that we do not fully understand, including why some are restored quickly and others walk a longer path. The gospels show us both instant healing and gradual healing, and any true healing is from the Lord, whether it comes in a moment or through the careful processes He has built into the body and through the hands of doctors and therapists. We can trust Him for both.

Let us pray together for this man. Father, in the name of Jesus we lift up this dear one to You. You see his broken neck and legs, You hear his struggle to speak, and You know the trauma he has endured. We ask for Your healing touch upon his body, for wisdom and skill for those caring for him, for restoration of his bones and nerves, and for grace to help his speech return. We ask You to comfort his heart and the hearts of his family, to give peace in place of fear, and for strength for each day of recovery. Draw him close to You, remind him that his hope is in Your mercy, and let him know Your presence in a deep and personal way. We trust him into Your hands, believing that You are able to heal and to sustain, and we ask that Your will be done in his life for Your glory. Amen.

We want to thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf and we are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer for this dear man who survived the plane crash. We have continued to lift him up before the Lord, praying for healing for his broken neck and legs and for restoration of his ability to speak properly, and for strength and comfort for him and for all who love and care for him. We cling to the promise in Jeremiah 30:17 that God will restore health and heal wounds and to Psalm 147:3 that He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds, and we ask the Lord to touch his body, to bring recovery to his neck and legs and to restore his speech day by day.

We pray in Jesus Name for his complete healing and for wisdom and skill for the doctors and therapists who are caring for him, and for peace and encouragement for you as you intercede for him.

If your request was answered and you have seen improvement in his healing or his speech, please post a praise report and let us all know so we may rejoice with you. If your request does not seem to have been answered yet, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek Him through His Son, Jesus Christ.

I would like to ask for prayer. I have no idea what to do with my life. I have found work that seems perfect for me, yet I have had no success. There are patterns that seem to suggest that what has happened to others in my family wants to happen to me, and I do not accept that. Anywhere I go...

We were dating for 9 months and this Christmas was supposed to be our first of many, but everything went wrong. I had the courage to show my dad my feelings about this man, and my dad rejected immediately, and he had a right point to do it. “Don’t unite with unequal joke” I know that, but I was...
