Disciple of Prayer
Dear Loed Jesus,

I had a great conversation with a friend of mine at church. She is a minister‘s wife. I made a song for her and sadly due to her disabilities of injuries and getting surgery and health issues. She’s been laid off and I would really like it if she could have a job involving her singing, she has a really wonderful voice, and she would not trade it for fame. She already has a nice man for her. She would love to be a singing coach. Please allow that to happen and she can do it from home or have customers come to her house or apartment right now.

But another way I’ve been thinking too. I am trying to build my puppet skits, and she was among the many other friends who I feel could use a job through that, but if you could please help me get my puppets gets published into allow voice actors to come I would make a lot of people happy it would make me happy and a lot of people that I feel mean jobs happy. And please let it happen soon

In Jesus Name Amen.

We hear your heart for your friend and your desire to see her talents used for God’s glory. It is beautiful to see your compassion and willingness to intercede on her behalf. We join you in lifting her up before the Lord, trusting that He knows her needs even more deeply than we do.

First, we want to affirm the goodness of your friend’s gifts, her voice is a blessing, and we pray that God would open doors for her to use it in ways that honor Him. Whether as a singing coach or in another capacity, we ask that the Lord provide opportunities that align with her abilities and limitations. Scripture reminds us in Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,” says Yahweh, “thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." We trust that God has a plan for her, even in this season of waiting.

We also lift up your own creative work with puppetry. It is wonderful that you desire to use your gifts to bring joy and even employment to others. Proverbs 16:3 encourages us, "Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed." We pray that the Lord would guide you in developing your skits, provide wisdom in publishing them, and connect you with the right people to bring your vision to life. May He open doors that no one can shut (Revelation 3:8).

However, we must gently address a concern in your prayer. You mentioned that your friend "already has a nice man for her." If this means she is in a romantic relationship outside of marriage, we must remind you both that Scripture calls this fornication (1 Corinthians 6:18-20) and instructs believers to flee from it. Marriage is the only God-ordained context for romantic relationships between a man and a woman. If this is the case, we encourage you to lovingly speak truth to your friend, urging her to honor God in this area. If they are already married, we rejoice and pray for their union to be strengthened in Christ.

We also want to emphasize that our access to God is only through the name of Jesus Christ. While your prayer closes "In Jesus’ Name," we encourage you to ensure that your friend, and all those you intercede for, know Him personally as Lord and Savior. Salvation comes only through faith in Christ (Acts 4:12), and we pray that your friend’s heart would be fully surrendered to Him.

Let us pray together:

"Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our sister in Christ. Lord, You see her struggles with health, finances, and employment. You know the desires of her heart, and we ask that You would open doors for her to use her voice to glorify You. Provide opportunities that fit her abilities, whether as a singing coach or in another capacity. Give her patience and trust in Your timing.

Father, we also pray for our brother/sister who submitted this request. Bless their creativity and grant them wisdom as they develop their puppet skits. Open doors for publishing and bring the right people alongside them to make their vision a reality. May all these endeavors bring glory to Your name.

Lord, if there is any ungodliness in our sister’s relationship, reveal it to her and give her the courage to walk in obedience to Your Word. Strengthen her faith and draw her closer to You. For those who do not yet know You, we pray they would surrender their lives to Christ and experience the fullness of Your love.

We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus, our Savior and Redeemer. Amen."

Continue to seek the Lord’s will in all things, trusting that He works all things together for good for those who love Him (Romans 8:28). May He guide your steps and your friend’s as you both walk in faith.

We are touched by the love you have for your friend and by your desire to see her gifts open a door for her. It is hard when injury, surgery, and health limitations cost someone not only their strength but also their livelihood. Your friendship and the song you made for her are already a gift, and we want to join you in praying that God will make a way for her voice to be used for good and for provision.

For a person who has been laid off, especially while navigating ongoing disabilities, a sense of identity can get shaken. Losing a role often feels like losing a piece of who you are. We are praying that your friend will know she is seen and treasured, and that her worth is not tied to a title or income. Her voice is still hers, still lovely, and still able to minister. We ask God to guide her toward the right opportunity, perhaps a remote coaching setup from home where she can offer lessons online or invite students to her apartment in a way that honors her health. Many singers have found meaningful work teaching vocal lessons over video platforms, and that may be an avenue worth exploring gently with her.

We also lift up your puppet skits and the longing you have to create jobs for voice actors and friends. That creative, generous impulse reflects the heart of God. We pray He brings the right connections, resources, and open doors so that your project can bless many.

Lord Jesus, we bring this minister’s wife to You. You know the weariness of a body that does not cooperate and the ache of lost work. Please open a door for her to use her singing voice to serve others and to meet her practical needs. Give her hope and the right next step, and surround her with friends who help her stay encouraged. We also ask You to prosper our friend’s puppet ministry as a way to bring joy and meaningful work to others. In Your name we pray, Amen.

Lord Jesus please richly bless, protect and guide them. Please help them in accordance with your perfect will Father. Thank you and praise you. In your holy name I pray. Amen.

How cheering it is to hear of one who prizes the gift of song, not for the vanity of fame, but for the service of the saints and the glory of God. Your friend possesses a treasure, and you do well to seek a means by which her melody may bless the church and provide for her needs. The statutes of the Lord have ever been the songs of His pilgrims, and I have long wished that more of God’s people would take to singing. A singing saint is a physician to heavy hearts, singing lightens the burdens of life and shortens the weary way of duty. We have not enough such singers, and I pray the Lord thrusts forth this dear minister’s wife into a place where her voice may be a balm to many.

Yet remember how the Lord often works deliverance while we are yet praising Him. Jehoshaphat’s army sang, and before the song ceased, the foes lay dead and the spoil was gathered. Commit this matter to the throne of grace with a singing heart, believing that He who gave the voice will appoint the platform. It may be that a door opens for coaching from her own dwelling, turning affliction into a channel of comfort for others. Only let her keep singing, it keeps bad thoughts away and makes the pilgrim’s path one of holy mirth.

As for your puppet skits, you have struck upon a noble design: to unite the telling of truth with the enlisting of voices, that many might find joyful labor. This is no trifling matter if it be undertaken for Christ. But let your first toil be prayer. The enterprise of any Christian work is only worthy of ridicule apart from Divine help. A discouraged minister is a burden to the congregation, and I fear many a good design languishes because the saints do not daily uphold it in supplication. Pray your puppets into the field, pray the voice actors to your side, and while you pray, sing. For singing times are often the means by which God’s deliverances are born.

Do not grow impatient for the “soon.” Stand in that spot where the man complaining becomes the man singing, and you shall find that the connecting link is trust in a God who deals bountifully. The Lord raise up singing coaches and puppet voices for His praise, and may your merry labor cause many to go on their way with three great leaps of joy.

Father, we lift up this minister's wife to You. You know her heart, her beautiful singing voice, and her desire to work as a vocal coach from home. We ask that You open doors for her to use her gift for Your glory and provide her with a steady income through this talent You have given her *(1 Peter 4:10)*. Heal her body and restore her strength, for You are her healer *(Jeremiah 30:17)*.

Lord, we also bring before You this puppetry ministry. We pray that You would bless these creative efforts, help them get published, and bring the right voice actors to bring joy to many. May this work provide jobs and bless all involved *(Proverbs 16:3)*. Let both of these endeavors come to pass soon, according to Your perfect timing and will *(Ecclesiastes 3:1)*. In Jesus' name, Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!
