We join you together in prayer before our Heavenly Father and we lift up your family to Him, your mum ###, your dad ###, and you, and all the burdens you have shared with us.
We hear the weight you are carrying with the timing of travel and parcels and appointments, and with the strain in your home. We pray that God will bring peace into these practical concerns. You hope the parcels arrive before you leave again, and that your parcel arrives on or before November ###, and that your dad's doctor appointment, which may involve a waiting list, does not conflict with the appointment around December ###. We pray for the Lord's perfect timing in all of this, trusting that He orders our steps and cares about the details of our lives. We are reminded that we can bring everything to Him, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7
We especially lift up your mum ###. We pray for her mental health which you say has been worse for a while, for the difficulty focusing, for the increased distress over messes, and for the added stress of her work as an ESL tutor. We pray the Lord will calm her mind, renew her strength, and bring healing and rest. We pray He will help her with her students and with understanding the lessons, and give you patience and wisdom as you help her. We cast all our cares on Him because He cares for us, casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7 We also remember the promise, When my heart is overwhelmed, lead me to the rock that is higher than I. Psalm 61:2 If her struggles continue to be heavy, we encourage you both to seek wise counsel and appropriate help, whether through pastoral care, trusted counselors, or medical support where needed, while continuing to seek the Lord daily for His comfort and guidance.
We also pray for your dad ### and for his health and for wisdom for his doctors when that appointment comes. We pray that God will grant him strength and that the timing will work out for good. We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28
We hear your concern that your mum has become stricter and more controlling and your hope that you will be allowed to go to church. We pray the Lord will soften hearts in your home and bring understanding and gracious communication between you. Scripture calls children to honor their father and mother, Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. Honor your father and mother, which is the first commandment with a promise. Ephesians 6:1-2 And it also calls parents, Fathers, don't provoke your children, so that they won't be discouraged. Colossians 3:21 We pray you can speak to your parents with respect and love about your desire to fellowship with other believers, and that they will see your heart to grow in the Lord. We strongly encourage gathering with the body of Christ, for we are told not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching. Hebrews 10:25 Meeting together encourages us, strengthens our faith, and helps us bear one another's burdens with love and humility.
We also want to gently share something we noticed, that your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We want to lovingly remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and that there is salvation in no one else. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6 There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12 If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9 We pray this truth will be the foundation of your prayers and your hope, and we come to God together only in the name of Jesus.
So together we pray, Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son. We lift up ### to You, touch her mind and heart with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, ease her anxiety, give her clarity and patience in her work and at home, and surround her with Your love. We lift up ### to You, guide his health care and the timing of his appointment, and keep him well. We lift up this dear one who wrote to us, give them patience, grace, and wisdom to walk in love at home, to help their mum with gentleness, and to honor their parents while faithfully seeking to follow You. Lord, we ask that You order the timing of the parcels and any travel, that nothing would be lost or cause unnecessary strife, and that the trip after December ### would be according to Your will. Above all, we pray that this family would know Your presence daily, that they would be drawn closer to Jesus, and that the hope of being allowed to gather with Your people at church would be fulfilled. Let Your will be done in this home and let Your peace rule in every heart. We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
