Beloved of All
My family got back home recently. My mum Glenda wants to go back, but hope not too soon, as they are parcels coming. Hope we don’t leave until both parcels arrive. Hope my parcel arrives on or before November 6th. My dad Al is going to see a doctor (likely waiting list); hope it isn’t until after December 18th as another appointment around that time. My mum has bad mental health issues, have been worse for a while; for a few examples, when we are trying to focus on one important thing, she wakes off and eats; also messes drive her crazy more than usual. She is an ESL tutor and some students are issues some have issues; today is a nightmare, long story, but she always asks me to make lessons for students, didn’t like what I did and didn’t understand things, and how her mind like now, hard to explain but asks for more help with things, than usual. My mum is getting stricter and more controlling with more than just one thing, hope I’m allowed to go to church.

The Gospel of Health
Your physical health deeply shapes your spiritual life and demands careful stewardship of both body and soul.
We join you together in prayer before our Heavenly Father and we lift up your family to Him, your mum ###, your dad ###, and you, and all the burdens you have shared with us.

We hear the weight you are carrying with the timing of travel and parcels and appointments, and with the strain in your home. We pray that God will bring peace into these practical concerns. You hope the parcels arrive before you leave again, and that your parcel arrives on or before November ###, and that your dad's doctor appointment, which may involve a waiting list, does not conflict with the appointment around December ###. We pray for the Lord's perfect timing in all of this, trusting that He orders our steps and cares about the details of our lives. We are reminded that we can bring everything to Him, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7

We especially lift up your mum ###. We pray for her mental health which you say has been worse for a while, for the difficulty focusing, for the increased distress over messes, and for the added stress of her work as an ESL tutor. We pray the Lord will calm her mind, renew her strength, and bring healing and rest. We pray He will help her with her students and with understanding the lessons, and give you patience and wisdom as you help her. We cast all our cares on Him because He cares for us, casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7 We also remember the promise, When my heart is overwhelmed, lead me to the rock that is higher than I. Psalm 61:2 If her struggles continue to be heavy, we encourage you both to seek wise counsel and appropriate help, whether through pastoral care, trusted counselors, or medical support where needed, while continuing to seek the Lord daily for His comfort and guidance.

We also pray for your dad ### and for his health and for wisdom for his doctors when that appointment comes. We pray that God will grant him strength and that the timing will work out for good. We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28

We hear your concern that your mum has become stricter and more controlling and your hope that you will be allowed to go to church. We pray the Lord will soften hearts in your home and bring understanding and gracious communication between you. Scripture calls children to honor their father and mother, Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. Honor your father and mother, which is the first commandment with a promise. Ephesians 6:1-2 And it also calls parents, Fathers, don't provoke your children, so that they won't be discouraged. Colossians 3:21 We pray you can speak to your parents with respect and love about your desire to fellowship with other believers, and that they will see your heart to grow in the Lord. We strongly encourage gathering with the body of Christ, for we are told not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching. Hebrews 10:25 Meeting together encourages us, strengthens our faith, and helps us bear one another's burdens with love and humility.

We also want to gently share something we noticed, that your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We want to lovingly remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and that there is salvation in no one else. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6 There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12 If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9 We pray this truth will be the foundation of your prayers and your hope, and we come to God together only in the name of Jesus.

So together we pray, Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son. We lift up ### to You, touch her mind and heart with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, ease her anxiety, give her clarity and patience in her work and at home, and surround her with Your love. We lift up ### to You, guide his health care and the timing of his appointment, and keep him well. We lift up this dear one who wrote to us, give them patience, grace, and wisdom to walk in love at home, to help their mum with gentleness, and to honor their parents while faithfully seeking to follow You. Lord, we ask that You order the timing of the parcels and any travel, that nothing would be lost or cause unnecessary strife, and that the trip after December ### would be according to Your will. Above all, we pray that this family would know Your presence daily, that they would be drawn closer to Jesus, and that the hope of being allowed to gather with Your people at church would be fulfilled. Let Your will be done in this home and let Your peace rule in every heart. We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We hear how full your plate feels right now, with the move back home, waiting on parcels, your dad ###'s upcoming doctor appointment, and especially the strain with your mum ###.

It makes sense you would feel anxious when so many things are piling up at once. When a family is juggling travel, waiting for deliveries, medical waiting lists, and daily responsibilities, even small hassles can feel much bigger. And when someone you love is struggling with their mental health, it can be hard to focus, hard to keep things calm at home, and hard to know how much help to give.

You mentioned your mum asking you to make lessons and then being unhappy with them, and also becoming stricter and more controlling. It is understandable to want to help and also to feel worn down by it. One small step that sometimes helps in seasons like this is to get clear, kindly, on what you can and cannot take on. For example, when things are calm, you might let her know what kind of help with lessons you are able to give and when, so expectations are clearer for both of you. It can also help to keep a simple note of the dates you are watching, the parcels and the appointments around December ###, so you are not holding all of it in your mind.

We are also glad you want to stay connected to church. If you are unsure whether you will be allowed to go, it may help to ask about it ahead of time at a quiet moment, sharing why it matters to you.

We are praying for you and your family, and we encourage continued support from trusted people, and professional care alongside prayer for ongoing health needs.

Father, we bring this family to You in Jesus' name. Give peace in the waiting, wisdom for each conversation, help for ### and for ###, and steady encouragement for the one who wrote to us. Guide the timing of these parcels and appointments according to Your will, and make a way for fellowship with Your people. Amen.

Your prayer has been heard and the little cares which together make a heavy burden are not hidden from your Father in heaven. You have spoken of parcels looked for before the sixth of November, of a journey you hope will not be hurried, of your father ### and his waiting for the doctor, and of your mother ### whose mind has been much troubled and whose spirits have been low. You have told also of the pressure of lessons to prepare and of a stricter hand at home, with the earnest desire in your heart that you may still be found in the house of God.

Be not anxious overmuch, for anxiety itself unfits the soul to meet its trial. Our Lord has taught us not to be of doubtful mind, and we have proved that the very fretfulness which comes of being in a difficulty makes us less able to bear it. Cast therefore all your care upon Him, for He careth for you. He who feeds the sparrows and clothes the lilies will not forget the wants of His children, whether it be a parcel on the way or a day appointed with the physician. Leave times and seasons in His hand, and seek first His kingdom, trusting that He will order what is best concerning the sixth of November and the eighteenth of December and all days between.

For your mother, pray with tender patience. It is a sore affliction when the mind is darkened and small things become great vexations, and when the nerves are fretted by every disorder. Honour her as your mother, and bear with her infirmity as you would have others bear with yours. Speak gently, help quietly where you can, and remember that the Lord is able to give peace to the troubled heart and to renew strength where it is worn. Ask Him to quiet her thoughts, to give her rest, and to bless her labour as she teaches others. If you are pressed beyond what is right, answer with meekness and seek wisdom to do what is dutiful without provoking further strife.

For your father, commit his health and his waiting time to the Great Physician. If the appointment must be delayed, pray that the delay may work for good, and that the Lord will keep him in health and give skill to those who care for him.

And for that good desire to go up to the house of God, cherish it. The Church is as a mother to the children of God, a nursing mother who fosters and nurtures souls, and it is a family where each member is cared for and taught. It is well that you long for its fellowship, its teaching and its prayers. Therefore entreat your mother with reverence and humility, that you may be allowed to keep that holy privilege. Let her see that your going to church makes you more gentle, more obedient and more helpful at home, and the Lord may incline her heart to grant it freely. If for a season you are hindered, still seek the Lord in private prayer and in the reading of His Word, and He will not leave you without witness of His presence.

Let us pray together. O Lord our God, look in mercy upon this household. Provide for what is needed, and in Thy time cause that which is waited for to come safely. Lay Thy hand upon ### and grant him health and a fit season for his need, and be near to ### in her heaviness of mind, give her quietness and strength and patience, and restore to her cheerfulness and peace. Give wisdom and grace to her child, to walk in obedience and kindness, and open a way to keep the fellowship of Thy people in Thy house. Keep us all from anxious thought, and teach us to trust Thee who doest all things well. Hear us for Jesus Christ's sake, Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Thank you for sharing what is weighing on you and your family so honestly. I have heard your requests and I am bringing them before the Lord with you.

I am praying first for wisdom about travel and for the parcels you are waiting for. I ask God to provide for your family in this time at home, to keep you from having to leave before both parcels have arrived, and especially that your parcel would come on or before November 6th if it is His will. God cares about these practical details of our lives and we can trust His timing even when waiting is difficult.

I am also praying for your dad ### and his doctor appointment. I ask the Lord to guide the timing so it does not conflict with the other appointment around December 18th, and to give the doctors wisdom and to grant your dad health and peace while he waits. Scripture reminds us that teachers and all of us stand in need of mercy, and God is merciful to those who call on Him for both body and soul.

I am praying especially for your mum ###. It is painful to see a parent struggle with mental health, and to feel the strain when she is more easily overwhelmed by mess, when she steps away to eat while you are trying to focus, and when she seems stricter and more controlling. I pray God will bring her comfort, steadiness, and healing, and give her rest from the pressures of tutoring and the difficulties with students. I also pray He will give you patience, gentleness, and understanding as you try to help her with lessons and other tasks, even when she does not understand or is hard to please. The Lord knows how to change what is weak and unsettled in us, as He once changed water into wine, and He can give strength to both the weary and those who care for them. A simple and ordered life, with frugality and peace, is often a help to health, and I pray God will bring more of that calm into your home.

I hear your hope to be allowed to go to church, and that is a good and right desire. Meeting together with Gods people is a great help to keep what health we have and to be restored when we are weak. I pray God will open the way for you to gather for worship, and give you grace to speak respectfully with your parents about it, honoring them as Scripture calls us to do while also seeking fellowship with the church.

May the Lord lift up your hands when they hang down and strengthen your knees when you feel feeble. I pray He will keep you and your family in His care, give you peace in the waiting, and draw each of you closer to salvation and hope through Jesus Christ alone.

Father, I bring this family before You. Provide for their needs, order their steps and appointments according to Your wisdom, bring healing and steadiness to ###, care for ###, and make a way for this dear one to worship with Your people. Give them all Your mercy and sustaining grace. In Jesus name, Amen.
