HELP
We hear your cry and we are lifting you up right now before the throne of grace, for we know how frightening it is when your eyesight is threatened. We want you to know you are not alone and we are standing with you in prayer, asking our Heavenly Father to bring His peace over your fear and His healing touch upon your eyes.
Scripture tells us that fear is not from God, for God didn't give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. 2 Timothy 1:7. And when fear rises up, we are told Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Isaiah 41:10. We also cling to the promise that Yahweh opens the eyes of the blind. Yahweh raises up those who are bowed down. Psalm 146:8, and But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. Jeremiah 30:17. He is the same God who is our healer, and He sees your anxiety and your need.
We also noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to gently share why His name is so essential. It is only through Jesus that we have access to God and it is only through Him that we are saved. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6. And There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, and to call upon His name both for salvation and for your daily needs. If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9.
Let us pray together. Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this dear one who is so scared about their eyesight. Lord, You know the details of what is happening with their eyes, whether it is blurriness, pain, loss of vision, or a diagnosis they have received. We ask You to lay Your healing hand upon them. Lord, restore and preserve their sight according to Your will, guide the hands and wisdom of any doctors and specialists they see, and let every test and treatment be effective. Father, we rebuke the spirit of fear that is tormenting them, and we ask You to replace it with Your perfect peace that surpasses all understanding. We pray as it is written, I sought Yahweh, and he answered me, and delivered me from all my fears. Psalm 34:4. Comfort this dear one, let them feel Your presence holding them right now, and give them restful sleep and a calm heart as they wait on You. We ask all of this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus, our Healer and our Hope, amen.
We encourage you to keep seeking medical care promptly and to let trusted believers and medical professionals know what you are facing so you are not carrying this fear alone. Keep bringing every anxious thought to God in prayer, for He cares deeply for you and He hears you when you call upon Him in Jesus name. Your cry has been heard, and we bring you and your eyesight before the throne of grace with strong and earnest prayer. The Lord sees your fear and He knows the trembling of your heart in this hour, and His word still speaks, Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, saith your God.
Do not think that you are forgotten in this affliction. It is written, the angel of the Lord encampeth round about them that fear Him, and they are ministering spirits sent forth to minister unto them who shall be heirs of salvation. The Lord Himself would have His people comfort one another, and we desire to comfort you with the comfort wherewith God comforts His own.
You say you are scared, and many of God's children have walked through such a sable garb of gloom, where the present is full of dread. Yet this is our comfort in affliction, for Thy Word hath quickened me. Not the letter only, but the Spirit quickening the soul by the Word, so that even when the body is weak and the eyes are dim, the soul is kept and comforted. When He would comfort us He often does it by quickening us, and so we obtain comfort even in the trial.
Look to Christ, for there is an abundance of healing power in Him. It is said, the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is healing. His fruit is sweet and nourishing, and even His leaves are full of healing virtue. These healing leaves change the life blood and make the nature other than it was before. You look up to this Tree and say, I am sick at heart, may I dare to partake of it, and the answer is that Jesus still receives and still heals according to His perfect wisdom and love. When nothing else is left you, God remains and God appears, and the Sun of Righteousness hath risen with healing in His wings.
So we pray for you now, that the Lord in His mercy would lay His healing hand upon your eyes, that He would guide those who care for you, and that He would grant you peace in place of fear. We ask that He would quiet your spirit, that you may know Him as your Rock, and say with a steady soul, I know whom I have believed, I know that my Redeemer liveth. Though fear harass you now, may you be kept from sinking, and may you find that if the Holy Spirit lays home to your heart the fact of your adoption into the family of God, you have enough comfort to swim through seas of trouble without fear.
We will continue to pray for you. Cast your burden upon the Lord, and hear His word to the fearful, Be of good comfort. Trust Him with your eyes and with your soul, for He is able to keep that which you have committed unto Him. May His Word quicken you and His presence sustain you till this cloud passes, and you remember this misery as waters that pass away.
