Thank you for all you do. I believe Jesus died for my sins. He is the way to you, Father God. Please keep my children save from harm and give them the desires of their hearts. I pray they outlive me! I love them very much. I am grateful for Your love. I pray you spare me pain and suffering. Please forgive me of my sins. Forgive me for my mistakes. Help me correct them. Keep
my family safe and help me forgive those who hurt me. I pray You forgive me for saying ugly things and being mean. I am sorry. Amen.

We rejoice with you in your confession that Jesus died for your sins and that He is the way to the Father, for Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6. We thank God that you have placed your faith in Christ, for if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9. It is only through that faith in Jesus that we have forgiveness and access to the Father, and we are grateful you have come in His name.

We join you in lifting up your precious children before the Lord. We understand the deep love you have for them and your desire for them to be safe and to outlive you. Children are a heritage of Yahweh. Psalm 127:3. We pray for the Lord's protection over them, for He will give his angels charge over you, to guard you in all your ways. Psalm 91:11. We also pray that the desires of their hearts would be shaped by the Lord Himself, for the promise is Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Psalm 37:4. When their hearts delight in Him, their desires will align with His perfect will, which is far better than anything we could ask on our own.

We also hear your humble cry for forgiveness and for help to correct your mistakes and to turn from saying ugly things and being mean. We praise God for your repentant heart. Scripture assures us If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9. As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us. Psalm 103:12. We pray that you will walk in the freedom of that forgiveness and that the Holy Spirit will help you to put away anger and harsh words and to be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you. Ephesians 4:32.

You asked for help to forgive those who have hurt you and to keep your family safe and to be spared from pain and suffering. We know the Lord calls us to forgive as we have been forgiven, for if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. Matthew 6:14. Forgiveness does not excuse the hurt, but it frees your own heart to heal. And while we pray with you for protection and relief from suffering, we also remember that God does not always remove hardship but He promises to be with us through it and to use all things for good, for we know that all things work together for good for those who love God. Romans 8:28. His grace is sufficient, for his power is made perfect in weakness. 2 Corinthians 12:9. Do not be afraid, for I am with you. Isaiah 41:10.

We pray together now.

Father God, we come before You in the precious name of Jesus Christ, thanking You for this dear one who believes that Jesus died for their sins. We thank You for Your love and mercy that never fails. Lord, we lift up these children to You, we ask You to keep them safe from harm, to guard their bodies, minds and souls, to draw them to Yourself at an early age and to give them hearts that delight in You. We ask You to surround this family with Your protection and peace. Father, we confess with our sibling their sins and harsh words, and we thank You that You forgive and cleanse through the blood of Jesus. Help them to walk in newness of life and to correct what can be corrected with Your wisdom. Teach them to forgive those who have hurt them as You have forgiven them, and heal any wounds in their heart. Lord, in times of pain and suffering, be their comfort and strength, spare them where it is Your will, and sustain them where You allow trials, that they may grow in faith and glorify You. We trust them into Your loving hands. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.

We encourage you to continue to abide in Christ, to read His Word daily, to pray continually, and to walk in fellowship with other believers who can support you. Keep confessing your sins quickly, keep forgiving freely, and keep entrusting your children to the Lord who loves them even more than you do.

We heard the love in your prayer, especially for your children and family, and your honest desire to walk more closely with God. Thank you for sharing so openly with us.

Wanting to be forgiven, to correct mistakes, and to forgive those who have hurt you are deep and good desires, and it is understandable to feel heavy when words have come out harshly. Growth in these areas rarely happens all at once. It tends to be gradual and uneven, with good days and setbacks, but what matters is the direction over time as we keep turning to God.

One small step that often helps is to keep it simple and steady. When you sense you have spoken harshly, pause to bring it to God honestly and, when possible, to the person involved with a brief apology. And when you feel the sting of how others have hurt you, it can help to make a quiet decision to release the debt to God, even while your feelings may still need time to catch up. That emotional healing often follows more slowly.

We also find that regular time in prayer and in God's Word, along with worship with other believers, gently shapes us and gives the Holy Spirit room to work in us.

Father, thank You for this one who loves You and loves their family. Forgive what needs forgiving, heal what is hurting, keep their children and family in Your care, and give wisdom and grace for each day ahead. Form them more into the likeness of Jesus, step by step. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

Your prayer has come before the Lord and we have heard it with thankfulness, for you begin where every true prayer must begin, with faith in Jesus Christ who died for your sins and who alone is the way to the Father. That is no small thing. To believe this is to stand upon the only ground where forgiveness can be found.

Hear the blessed whisper which God Himself has given, There is forgiveness, There is forgiveness with Him. The Lord says, I, even I, am He that blotteth out thy transgressions for Mine own sake. Suppose you call upon your creditor and say, I have nothing to pay with, yet He does not merely pity you, He forgives the debt completely. Whatever your sins have been, however you have spoken ugly things and been mean, however many mistakes lie behind you, there is forgiveness with God through Jesus Christ His Son. It is a divine forgiveness, and it is a complete forgiveness, and it is an eternal forgiveness. The gifts and calling of God are without repentance. He never plays fast and loose with men.

You ask to be forgiven and to be helped to correct your faults, and this is the mark of that true repentance which is the work of the Spirit of God. There is a carnal repentance that is of the flesh, but true repentance gives God glory. It stands at the Cross and sees sin forgiven and then repents more than ever, saying, I know my sins are forgiven, but now their pain to me is all the grief and anguish they laid, my Lord, on You. Such repentance looks out of self to Christ and to Christ only. Faith and repentance are inseparable. The repentance that purges the soul from dead works and the faith that fills the soul with living works go together. If you have this godly sorrow that leads you to Christ, trust that He has exalted Himself to be a Prince and a Saviour to give repentance and forgiveness of sins, and that forgiveness is yours now, at this moment, as you believe.

You also pray, help me forgive those who hurt me, and this is the very fruit of having been forgiven. We have in Him a full forgiveness, and from that bright example we gather grace to forgive others even to seventy times seven. It is a joint work of mutual forgiveness among those who have been forgiven so freely. As God for Christ's sake has forgiven you, so you are called to forgive. It is not easy to the flesh, but it is the worthy walk of those who are of the blood royal of Heaven. Ask the Lord to continue to exert towards you that fulness of forgiving grace which absolved you at the first, that you may walk before Him with a clear sense of that complete forgiveness, and from that strength show the same forgiving love to others.

We join you in praying for your children and your family, that the Lord would keep them safe from harm and keep you all in His tender care. We pray with you that they may be spared and that your love for them may be guided by His wisdom, that He would give them not merely the desires of their hearts as they first conceive them, but hearts renewed to desire what is good and pleasing in His sight. We pray also that in pain and suffering, if it be His will to spare you, you will know His mercy, and if He appoints trial, you will find Him near to sustain you. He sometimes brings down the heart with labor, but He does so not to cast away, but to bring the soul to seek and find that forgiveness which is ready and waiting.

May the Lord assure you today that there is forgiveness with Him, that you may fear Him and love Him and walk in newness of life, forgiving as you have been forgiven, and resting in the finished work of Christ.
