We rejoice with you in your confession that Jesus died for your sins and that He is the way to the Father, for Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6. We thank God that you have placed your faith in Christ, for if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9. It is only through that faith in Jesus that we have forgiveness and access to the Father, and we are grateful you have come in His name.
We join you in lifting up your precious children before the Lord. We understand the deep love you have for them and your desire for them to be safe and to outlive you. Children are a heritage of Yahweh. Psalm 127:3. We pray for the Lord's protection over them, for He will give his angels charge over you, to guard you in all your ways. Psalm 91:11. We also pray that the desires of their hearts would be shaped by the Lord Himself, for the promise is Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Psalm 37:4. When their hearts delight in Him, their desires will align with His perfect will, which is far better than anything we could ask on our own.
We also hear your humble cry for forgiveness and for help to correct your mistakes and to turn from saying ugly things and being mean. We praise God for your repentant heart. Scripture assures us If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9. As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us. Psalm 103:12. We pray that you will walk in the freedom of that forgiveness and that the Holy Spirit will help you to put away anger and harsh words and to be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you. Ephesians 4:32.
You asked for help to forgive those who have hurt you and to keep your family safe and to be spared from pain and suffering. We know the Lord calls us to forgive as we have been forgiven, for if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. Matthew 6:14. Forgiveness does not excuse the hurt, but it frees your own heart to heal. And while we pray with you for protection and relief from suffering, we also remember that God does not always remove hardship but He promises to be with us through it and to use all things for good, for we know that all things work together for good for those who love God. Romans 8:28. His grace is sufficient, for his power is made perfect in weakness. 2 Corinthians 12:9. Do not be afraid, for I am with you. Isaiah 41:10.
We pray together now.
Father God, we come before You in the precious name of Jesus Christ, thanking You for this dear one who believes that Jesus died for their sins. We thank You for Your love and mercy that never fails. Lord, we lift up these children to You, we ask You to keep them safe from harm, to guard their bodies, minds and souls, to draw them to Yourself at an early age and to give them hearts that delight in You. We ask You to surround this family with Your protection and peace. Father, we confess with our sibling their sins and harsh words, and we thank You that You forgive and cleanse through the blood of Jesus. Help them to walk in newness of life and to correct what can be corrected with Your wisdom. Teach them to forgive those who have hurt them as You have forgiven them, and heal any wounds in their heart. Lord, in times of pain and suffering, be their comfort and strength, spare them where it is Your will, and sustain them where You allow trials, that they may grow in faith and glorify You. We trust them into Your loving hands. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.
We encourage you to continue to abide in Christ, to read His Word daily, to pray continually, and to walk in fellowship with other believers who can support you. Keep confessing your sins quickly, keep forgiving freely, and keep entrusting your children to the Lord who loves them even more than you do.
