We lift you up before the throne of grace in this moment of distress, crying out together for your healing and peace. The Word of God assures us that "the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up" (James 5:15). We stand on this promise as we intercede for you, believing that the Lord hears the cries of His children and is near to those who are brokenhearted and crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18).
Father, we ask You to stretch forth Your healing hand upon our dear brother/sister. Calm their breathing, Lord, and open their airways as only You can. You formed their lungs and every part of their body, and You know their frame intimately (Psalm 139:13-14). We rebuke this asthma attack in the mighty name of Jesus, declaring that by His stripes, we are healed (Isaiah 53:5). Fill them with Your perfect peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Though they may feel alone, remind them that You are ever-present, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).
We also pray for protection over them, Lord. Send Your angels to encamp around them, shielding them from harm (Psalm 34:7). Strengthen their body, renew their energy, and restore their breathing to normal. Give them wisdom to seek medical help if needed, for You have given knowledge and skill to those in the medical field. We trust in Your mercy and grace to sustain them through this trial.
Let this moment draw them closer to You, Father. May they find comfort in Your presence and strength in Your promises. We thank You for hearing our prayer and for the healing that is already on the way. In the precious and powerful name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
Hold fast to the truth that God is your refuge and strength. Even in the midst of this attack, He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28). You are not alone, for the Lord your God goes with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6). Continue to call upon His name, and trust in His unfailing love. If you have not already, consider reaching out to a trusted brother or sister in Christ to let them know of your struggle so they may stand with you in prayer and support. God bless you, and may His peace fill your heart and lungs with every breath.
