He proposed the same to a man who also questioned Him, "Where were you when...?" (Job 38:4). God replied Job and explained how many things Job was not aware of. God is good and wants the best for you (Psalm 84:11 WEB).
It's also crucial to understand that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7 WEB). He wants you to find comfort and strength in Him, not live in a state of despair or anxiety. You mentioned praying in Jesus' name, but how close is your relationship to Him? Jesus wants to be our friend and Shepherd if we let Him. The closer we are to Him, the more He can comfort us and give us peace.
Regarding your breakup, we want to encourage you to trust in God's timing and plan for your life. He knows the desires of your heart, and He will provide as you delight yourself in Him (Psalm 37:4 WEB). It's essential to seek God's will in all things, including relationships. If it was a godly courtship, then trust that if it is God's will, He can restore it or bring someone else into your life who will love and cherish you the way God intends.
