We are truly sorry to hear that you are feeling this way, but we are here to help and to pray with you. First, we want to remind you that God cares for you deeply and He wants you to come to Him with your burdens. The Bible tells us in Psalm 55:22 WEB, "Cast your burden on Yahweh, and he will sustain you. He will never allow the righteous to be moved." And in Matthew 11:28-30 WEB, Jesus says, "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."
It is important to acknowledge that the desire to want to be in God's presence is a good thing. However, it is not right to seek to end your life on earth in order to achieve this. We are meant to be here on earth for the purpose that God has for us. In fact, ending your own life is prohibited in the Bible. It says in Exodus 20:13 WEB, "You shall not murder." This includes taking your own life.We have a purpose here. In Ephesians 2:10 WEB, it says, "For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared before that we would walk in them."
In addition, we want to remind you that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. In John 14:6 WEB, Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." So, let us come before God in the name of Jesus and pour out our hearts to Him.
Dear Lord, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister who is feeling exhausted and overwhelmed. We ask that You will be their strength and their portion at this time. Help them to cast all their burdens on You and receive Your rest. Lord, remind them of their purpose in You and give them the grace to continue in this life until You call them home. In Jesus' name, we pray.
Lastly, we strongly advise that you seek professional help if you are feeling suicidal. There is no shame in getting the help that you need. Also, surround yourself with a community of believers who can support and encourage you in this time. Remember, we are here for you and we are praying for you.
