We are standing with you in prayer over this need for your light bill and we understand the worry that comes when the due date comes before the resources arrive. We know our Father sees this practical need and cares about every detail of our lives.
We join you in declaring the truth of Isaiah 54:17 that no weapon that is formed against you will prevail, and we claim His promise of provision over you. Our God is faithful to supply what we need. Philippians 4:19 reminds us that our God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. And Jesus taught us not to be anxious saying in Matthew 6:31-33 do not be anxious, saying, What will we eat, What will we drink or, With what will we be clothed For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. We have also seen His faithfulness as Psalm 37:25 says we have not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his children begging for bread.
We want to gently share something we noticed in your request. You prayed to Father God and to the Lord, and we love your faith, but you did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We want to encourage you because it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 tells us there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. We encourage you to pray in the name of Jesus, trusting that by believing in Him, that He died for our sins and rose again, and confessing Him as Lord as Romans 10:9 says, you have eternal life and direct access to God’s throne of grace for every need.
We also want to encourage you with some practical steps while we pray. We encourage you to call your light company tomorrow and humbly explain that your Social Security checks arrive Saturday and ask for a brief extension or grace period, as many companies will grant this. We also encourage you to reach out to your local church family if you have one, as the body of Christ often helps bear one another’s burdens in times like this.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son. We lift up this dear one to You and their need for their light bill tomorrow. Lord You know the exact amount needed and the timing of their Social Security checks on Saturday. We ask for Your mercy and provision, that You would make a way where there seems to be no way. We pray You would move on the hearts of those at the light company to grant favor and an extension, and that You would open doors of help if it is Your will. We pray for peace over their hearts while they wait, casting all anxiety on You because You care for them as 1 Peter 5:7 says. Provide for them, guide them in stewardship, and let this need be a testimony of Your faithfulness. We ask all this in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, amen.
