Thank you for sharing what is weighing on you and your family right now. We have read your request carefully and we are praying for you, for your mum and dad, and for your home during this time when your family is away and preparing to return.

We understand the frustration of having several computers not working properly, especially when one is the newest and you depend on it. We pray that God will give you wisdom and provision for these practical needs, and that these tools will work as you need them to. We also pray for peace over your home regarding the damage to the wall, that what needs to be repaired can be handled without added conflict, and that responsibility can be sorted out calmly and fairly.

We hear how heavy the family strain has been. You mentioned your dad is sick and can only do so much, and you are hoping he will get well enough to do more soon. We are praying for his health and strength, and for the Lord to restore him and to comfort him. We are also praying for your mum. Scripture teaches us that God commanded, Honor your father and your mother, and that this command still stands. That does not mean that harsh words, threats, or anger are right, but it does call us to show respect and honor even when relationships are difficult, and to not speak about our parents with contempt. At the same time God calls us to walk carefully, not as unwise but as wise, redeeming the time because the days are difficult. That means giving no unnecessary reason for conflict, showing deference and kindness where we can without compromising what is right before God, and trusting Him to work in hearts.

When you experience criticism, like about cooking, or when threats and anger arise, it is painful and it can make home feel unsafe. We pray that God will soften hearts, calm anger, and bring peace into your home, especially on the day your family returns. We pray that the return will be peaceful, without bullying or difficult behavior, and that everyone will be able to speak to one another with patience and self control. If threats ever make you feel unsafe, please reach out right away to a trusted pastor, counselor, or other mature Christian in your local church, and to appropriate help in your area, so you are not carrying this alone.

We also pray for you, that the Lord will give you grace to respond with gentleness and not to return harshness for harshness, to cut off bitterness at the root, and to keep your heart at peace by looking to the treasure we have in Christ which no one can steal. May He help you to despise quarreling over earthly things and to seek the honor that comes from God.

Let us pray together. Father in heaven, we bring this family before You in the name of Jesus Christ. We ask for healing for this father who is sick, for strength for his body and encouragement for his spirit. We ask for Your hand on the mother, to calm her heart, to give her peace and kindness in her words and actions, and to help her to know Your grace. We ask for protection and peace over this home as the family travels and returns, that their reunion would be gentle and free from strife. Provide for the practical needs with the computers and the wall, and give wisdom to handle each matter well. Help this dear one who wrote to walk wisely, to honor You and to honor parents as You command, and to grow in patience and love. Guard this household and let Your peace rule there. Amen.

Thank you for sharing so honestly about what is happening at home. God sees and cares about both the practical frustrations with the computers and the wall, and the much deeper strain in your family. He is not distant from these details, and you can bring them directly to Him.

Scripture teaches that Jesus came to reveal the Father to us. When Philip asked to see the Father, Jesus answered that to see Him is to see the Father, because His words and His works were the Father's works. All of His kindness, His healing, His mending of broken lives, showed us what the Father is like. Through Jesus you have direct access to the Father by one Spirit. You do not need to go through another mediator. Because you have believed in Jesus and love Him, the Father Himself loves you, and you can come boldly to His throne of grace to make your requests known. That is where true peace is found.

That peace is not just something God gives, He Himself is our peace. Even when circumstances are unsettled, you can have the kind of confidence Jesus had when He could rest in a storm, knowing the Father is in control of all that surrounds your life. Jesus said plainly that in this world you will have tribulation, but to be of good cheer because He has overcome the world. Let not your heart be troubled and do not be afraid. Bring your anxiety about the computers, the home, and your family gathering back together to Him, and ask for His peace to guard your heart.

Your concern for your father in his sickness and your struggle with your mother is very painful. God commands us to honor father and mother, and that honor remains even when relationships are difficult and when a parent acts harshly or makes threats. Honoring does not mean approving hurtful words or actions, and it does not mean you must accept being bullied. It does mean seeking to reflect the Father's character in how you respond, with truth, patience, and love, while also seeking wisdom and safety. Jesus taught that following Him can at times bring division even inside a household, and that our first love and loyalty must be to Him. When you walk in His will, you are showing His love to your family and becoming an expression of Him to them, not in your own strength, but as the Father works in you.

Remember also that through faith in Jesus you have been brought into the family of God. You were once far off, but now you are at home in His kingdom. There is a bond among those who do the will of God that is deeper than even family ties, and you are not alone in this struggle. God has made us one in Christ and He preaches peace to those who are near and those who are far.

We will pray for you.

Father, we come to You in the name of Jesus and thank You that we have direct access to You and that You love us. We ask for Your peace to rest on this home. We pray for healing and strength for this father in his sickness, that You would restore him and give him grace to do what he is able to do. We pray for this mother, that You would soften her heart, calm her anger, and bring healing where there is hurt and confusion, and help her to speak and act with kindness rather than threats. We pray for protection and wisdom for the one who wrote this request, that You would help them to honor both parents in a way that pleases You, to respond with grace and truth, and to reflect Your character. We pray for the practical needs, the computers and the damage to the wall, that You would provide help and provision. And as the family comes back together, we ask that You would let Your peace come upon that house, keep away strife and bullying, and let Your love and order be known. We ask this trusting that You are in control and that You care for every part of our lives. Amen.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer.

We have continued to lift up your requests before the Lord. We have prayed for your computers, especially the newest one that has had trouble turning on at times, and for the other two computers that have ongoing issues. We have prayed that the Lord would grant wisdom and provision for these needs and that the newest computer would work reliably.

We have also prayed for your home and family. We brought before the Lord the situation with the wall that may need repainting, and the tension and threats you mentioned. We have prayed for your dad that God would bring healing and strength in his sickness and help him to be able to do what he needs to do. We have prayed for your mum that the Lord would bring peace to her heart and mind, calm any anger, and restrain any bullying or threatening words, and that she would show understanding and care. We have prayed for protection and peace as your family returns home, that the day of your return would be calm and free from difficulty, and for grace for you in daily tasks such as cooking.

We cling to the promise in 1 Pet 5:7 that we can cast all our anxiety on him because he cares for you, and we ask God to show his care in each of these areas and to let his peace guard your home.

If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ. We pray in Jesus Name.
