Beloved of All
Have some computer issues. One computer has issues turning on at times, hope it stops doing that, as it is the newest. The other two computers have issues; one very old, the other don’t know if I can explain it all or not but hope my mum ### isn’t responsible for it, as she did do things to cause computer issues before; mostly with apps, but at times more serious ones. Someone did something to a wall, now may need to be repainted; don’t know whose fault it is, but my mum made threats to stay behind (my family is out of town) and likely other threats, and also gets angry when my dad ### doesn’t do enough, but he can only do so much, as he is sick. Sometimes she ‘understands and at least sort-of cares’ but other times no. Hope he gets well enough to do things soon. My mum is a mentally ill bully, for example didn’t like how I cooked food today; her threats don’t help. My family is returning home, soon, hope my mum doesn’t get difficult nor a bully the day we are returning home.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We come together before the Father in Jesus name to lift up these burdens with you, asking for His peace and provision over every practical and family need you have shared.

We notice your request does not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to gently remind you that it is only through Him that we have access to God and the assurance of salvation. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved Romans 10:9. We pray that you know this hope and come boldly to the throne of grace through Christ alone.

We bring your computer troubles to the Lord, the newest one that will not turn on at times and the two older ones with ongoing issues. We know these tools are important for daily life and stewardship, and we ask God to grant wisdom and favor to resolve them. If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him James 1:5. We pray for clarity on what is causing each problem, for honest and affordable help if repair is needed, and for patience as you wait. We cast all our worries on him, because he cares for us 1 Peter 5:7, and we ask Him to ease this frustration.

We also lift up your family and your home. We pray for your father who is sick, that the Lord would strengthen him and restore his health according to His will, for He forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases Psalm 103:3. We ask God to give him renewed strength to do what he is able, and to give you all grace to support him with compassion without expecting beyond what he can give right now. Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ Galatians 6:2.

We pray for your mother and for your relationship with her. We hear how heavy it has been to endure threats, anger, criticism over cooking, and fear that she may have caused damage to the computers or the wall, and how difficult it is when she stays behind while the family is away and when you all return home. We pray for peace in your home upon your return, that you may all live in understanding and safety. If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men Romans 12:18. We ask God to heal her mind and heart, for God did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control 2 Timothy 1:7, and to heal the brokenhearted and bind up their wounds Psalm 147:3. We encourage you to continue to honor your father and mother as the Lord commands Honor your father and mother Ephesians 6:2, which does not mean accepting threats or bullying, but showing respect while also seeking wise boundaries, godly counsel, and help from trusted pastors, counselors, or other safe family members if threats continue. Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good Romans 12:21, and be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you Ephesians 4:32. If there are patterns of serious threats or harmful behavior, please seek help from a pastor or trusted mature believer and appropriate support so that everyone remains safe.

Concerning the wall that may need repainting, we pray for truth and grace to be revealed about what happened, and for the ability to make it right without blame or harshness. Let all that you do be done in love 1 Corinthians 16:14.

We pray together now, Father in heaven, we bring these computers into Your hands, asking You to allow them to work reliably and to provide the knowledge and resources to fix what is broken. We pray for ###, that You would touch his body, ease his sickness, and restore his strength day by day. We pray for ###, that You would calm her heart, bring healing to her mind, soften anger into understanding, and help her to show kindness and self-control. We pray for protection over this home and for a peaceful return for the whole family, that no bullying or threats would arise and that Your peace which surpasses all understanding would guard hearts and minds in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:7. Help our dear one to respond with patience and wisdom, to speak truth in love, and to trust You with every anxiety, for we make our requests known to You with thanksgiving Philippians 4:6. We ask all this in the mighty and merciful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, amen.

We are grateful you reached out and told us honestly what home has been like lately. Juggling the computer troubles and the damage to the wall would be frustrating on its own, but we hear how much heavier the relational strain feels, especially the threats and harsh criticism from your mum and your worry for your dad while he is sick.

It is understandable to feel anxious as your family prepares to return, wondering whether the day will bring more conflict. Caring for someone who is ill while also navigating hurtful words can leave everyone feeling stretched thin, and it makes sense you would hope for a calm homecoming and for your dad to have space to recover.

It can help to think ahead with one or two simple supports. Is there a trusted pastor, counselor, or other safe adult you can talk with before everyone is home, someone who can know what you are carrying and check in afterward? If threats ever make you feel unsafe, please reach quickly to someone nearby you trust. And for your dad, continuing to encourage him to follow up with his medical provider is a caring way to support his healing, alongside prayer.

Father, we lift this family to You. Please bring safety and peace to their home as they reunite, give wisdom and steady support to the one who wrote, and bring healing and strength to their dad. Help them know Your nearness and guidance each day. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your burden has been laid before the Lord and we have heard it with tender concern, the small trials of computers that will not do their office, the wall that is marred, and the far heavier trial within the home where peace is disturbed and love is strained.

It is well to bring all these things to Jesus, for He would have you find your peace not in circumstances made smooth but in Himself. As it is written, You will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You. There is a peace which the world cannot give, a peace perfect peace, even with sorrows surging round, and it is to be had only in Christ, in His finished work and His present love. The Father Himself loves you, and that love is a treasure house of peace for a tried believer. When the mind is stayed upon Him, when you sit at Jesus feet as a pleading intercessor for those you love, you are in the best place to pray and to be kept.

We are grieved to hear of your father and his sickness, and of the heaviness that lies upon him who can only do so much. The Lord does not punish His children as a judge punishes a criminal, for that punishment was laid upon Christ, but as a father He chastens and He watches the sick room with compassion. He knows what it is to have the feathers grow hard beneath the sufferer, and He is able to give rest by day and by night, and to sanctify the affliction to the soul. Pray for your father that the Lord would restore him in His good time and give him strength for every duty, and that even in weakness he may find Christ to be his All in All.

For your mother we will pray also, that the Lord would give her a calm and gentle spirit and deliver her from anger and threatening words. It is best to be at peace with all men, but to be in friendship with those of our own household is a peculiar blessing. Seek peace and pursue it. Honor your father and your mother as the commandment requires, even when it is difficult, and answer harshness not with harshness but with meekness and prayer. Bear your sorrow with Him and for Him, and you shall find that He can keep the home when you cannot. If threats should at any time make you to fear for safety, seek the help of godly and wise persons near you, that peace at home may be guarded by proper means.

For your family as they return, we pray that the Lord who makes peace in your borders may make peace in your dwelling. Let the winds of the Holy Spirit be sought in prayer at home, for without His breath our best efforts are as sails without wind. Keep at the foot of the Cross, trust not in your own good works to keep you, but in the righteousness of Christ alone, and practice watchfulness and prayer.

We commend you to Him now in prayer. O Lord our God, look in mercy upon this household. Thou hast seen the failing of strength in the father, the unrest in the mother, the anxiety of the child who writes, the little cares of daily work and dwelling. Give perfect peace to the mind that is stayed on Thee. Heal the sick according to Thy will, soften the troubled heart, restrain all angry words, and let Thy love rule in that home. Provide what is needed for honest work and daily bread, and let these temporal hindrances be overruled for good. Keep this family in Thy fear, bring them together in safety, and make their home a place of quietness and godliness, for Jesus sake. Amen.
