Chrysostom
Beloved of All
Your prayer for grace, goodness, love and deliverance from evil is good and we join our hearts with yours before the Lord.
We thank God that in Christ He has provided both deliverance from evil and the supply of every good thing. Through His Son we are not only rescued from the curse but are made sons and daughters, receiving the Spirit of adoption so that we can call upon Him with confidence. As you have asked according to Psalm 91 and Psalm 121, Isaiah 54:17, 1 John 4:4, 2 Thessalonians 3:2-3 and Revelation 21:5, we ask the Lord to keep you in that sonship, to guard you and to make His promises sure in your life in Christ.
Scripture speaks of the hedge God placed around Job and his house, and that hedge is not a mere charm but the loving care of God for those who walk faithfully with Him. We pray that He would surround you and all those with you with that same protection, not only from outward danger but, even more, from every evil work. As the Apostle said, the Lord delivered him from the lion's mouth, and will deliver him from every evil work so that he would not depart with condemnation. The greatest deliverance is to be kept from sin and to be preserved blameless for His heavenly kingdom, for greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world.
We pray that the Lord who is faithful will establish you and guard you from the evil one, that He will cause His goodness to abound toward you, and that He who promises to make all things new will renew your strength day by day. May all glory and praise and credit be given to Him alone, for salvation is through Jesus Christ alone, and in His name we have access to the Father.
We ask the Lord to keep you in His grace, to lead you in holiness of life, and to let His love be your confidence in evil days. For the days are called evil not because God made them so, but because of the evil deeds done in them, and our hope is that God keeps the soul and body He created and cleanses the will that turns to Him.
May the Lord hear your prayer, keep you in His goodness, and fulfill His good will for you according to His wisdom and mercy. In Jesus name, Amen.
