We hear your cry for help in this time of pain and urgency, and we join with you in lifting this burden before the throne of grace. The Scriptures remind us, *"Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you"* (1 Peter 5:7 WEB). The Lord is near to those who are brokenhearted and crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18 WEB), and He does not ignore the suffering of His children. We pray that He would draw you closer to Himself in this trial, for He is the Great Physician who heals both body and soul.
Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can approach You and be saved (Acts 4:12 WEB). Lord, we ask that You would grant wisdom and favor to those who are assisting with these urgent appointments. Guide the hands of the doctors, nurses, and caregivers, and let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard this dear one’s heart and mind (Philippians 4:7 WEB). Ease their pain, Lord, and grant them strength and endurance as they wait on You. Remind them that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1 WEB).
We also pray for spiritual comfort and closeness to You, Lord. In times of physical suffering, it can be easy to feel distant from You, but we know that You are ever-present. Draw near to this child of Yours, and let them feel Your love and peace in a tangible way. Help them to trust in Your goodness, even when the path is difficult. *"The Lord is my shepherd; I shall lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul"* (Psalm 23:1-3 WEB). May they find rest in You, knowing that You are in control.
If there is any unconfessed sin or area of life not surrendered to You, Lord, we ask that You would bring it to light and grant repentance. Pain can often be a reminder to draw closer to You, to examine our hearts, and to seek Your face. *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"* (1 John 1:9 WEB). We pray for a heart that is fully yielded to You, trusting in Your mercy and grace.
Lastly, we rebuke any spirit of fear, anxiety, or despair that may be trying to take hold in this situation. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10 WEB). We stand on Your promise, Lord, that *"no weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment"* (Isaiah 54:17 WEB). We declare Your victory over this pain and suffering, and we trust that You will work all things together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28 WEB).
In Jesus’ precious and powerful name, we pray. Amen.
