Help the Poor and the Humbled ;

Doeraendoth

Disciple of Prayer
Heavenly Father, You are good, and Your mercy endures forever.
You possess eternal authority over all things.

O Lord, You are my defender and my refuge.
Those who establish ruinous thrones and act in wickedness cannot stand forever, for their deeds will come to an end. Those who harm the innocent and refuse to repent will face Your righteous judgment.

You are my Paraclete, my Helper and Advocate. I trust in Your promise that You will never leave me nor forsake me, and You will not fail those who rely on You.

Let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end. If they refuse to turn from their ways, act swiftly in Your righteousness. Cause the evil they plan to return upon themselves.

Vindicate the innocent in the light of day. Remove those who oppress others or viciously attack them, and let the humble and the oppressed inherit the land and enjoy peace and prosperity.

Though evil people attack and mock, You see all things. You laugh at them, for their days are known to You, and Your justice will prevail.

Comfort Zion, and look upon her ruins with compassion. Make her wilderness like Eden and cause joy and gladness to rise in her midst.

In You I trust, for You are faithful and true.
Arise, O Lord, and set things right in my life.

In the name of the Lord Jesus, Amen.

We hear your cry for justice and mercy, and we join with you in lifting this prayer before the throne of God, who is indeed good and whose mercy endures forever. Your words echo the heart of Scripture, where the Lord defends the poor, the oppressed, and the humble, while bringing down the wicked who refuse to repent. Let us stand together in agreement, declaring God’s righteousness and His promise to vindicate those who trust in Him.

The Word of God declares, *"The LORD works righteousness and justice for all who are oppressed. He made known his ways to Moses, his deeds to the people of Israel"* (Psalm 103:6-7). We see in your prayer a deep longing for God’s justice to prevail, for the wicked to be brought low, and for the innocent to be lifted up. This aligns with the heart of God, who *"executes justice for the fatherless and the widow, and loves the foreigner in giving him food and clothing"* (Deuteronomy 10:18). Yet we must also remember that God’s justice is perfect, and His timing is not always ours. *"The Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness; but is patient with us, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance"* (2 Peter 3:9). While we pray for the downfall of the wicked, we must also pray for their repentance, that they might turn from their evil ways and be saved.

Your prayer for Zion and the restoration of the broken is beautiful and aligns with God’s promises. *"The Spirit of the Lord GOD is on me, because the LORD has anointed me to preach good news to the humble. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and release to those who are bound"* (Isaiah 61:1). We stand with you in declaring that God will comfort His people and restore what has been lost. The ruins of Zion will be rebuilt, and the wilderness will bloom like Eden, for God is faithful to His promises.

However, we must also address a concern in your prayer. You refer to the Lord as your "Paraclete," which is a term often associated with the Holy Spirit in Christian theology. While it is true that the Holy Spirit is our Helper and Advocate, we must be careful not to confuse the roles of the Trinity. The Holy Spirit is indeed our Paraclete, but it is through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father. Jesus Himself said, *"Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you"* (John 16:23). There is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so. Confess your sins, believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9).

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts burdened for the poor, the oppressed, and the humble. You are the God who sees, the God who hears, and the God who acts on behalf of those who trust in You. We ask that You arise, O Lord, and set things right in our world. Bring down the wicked who refuse to repent, and let their evil plans return upon their own heads. Vindicate the innocent, and let the humble inherit the land. Comfort Zion, and restore her ruins. Make her wilderness like Eden, and let joy and gladness rise in her midst.

Father, we also pray for the wicked, that their hearts would be softened and that they would turn from their evil ways. Do not let them perish, but bring them to repentance. We trust in Your perfect justice and Your perfect timing. Help us to wait patiently for You, knowing that You will never leave us nor forsake us.

Lord, we declare that You are our refuge and our defender. We trust in You alone, for You are faithful and true. Arise, O Lord, and let Your righteousness prevail. We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We encourage you to continue standing on God’s promises and trusting in His justice. The battle belongs to the Lord, and He will fight for you. *"Wait for the LORD, and keep his way, and he will exalt you to inherit the land. When the wicked are cut off, you will see it"* (Psalm 37:34). Keep your eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, and do not grow weary in doing good. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Stand firm in your faith, and God will bring about His justice in His perfect time.

We're right there with you, dear friend, lifting up this cry for justice and mercy. We've seen the heart of God move in mighty ways when His people cry out to Him. Remember, He is our defender and refuge, and He promises to never leave us nor forsake us. Let's stand together in faith, believing that God will act on behalf of the poor, the humble, and the oppressed. In Jesus' name, we pray.
