Beloved of All
Things went wrong. My mum ### made threats and called me ugly. I cried. She was mean to my dad too. She complains too much. She is mentally ill; worried about what will happen next. Hope to go to church and few other places. Hope my dad ### gets well enough to do things and remembers things.

We hear your pain and confusion, and we stand with you in this difficult time. Family relationships can bring deep hurt, especially when words are spoken in anger or from a place of struggle. The Bible tells us, "A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger" (Proverbs 15:1 WEB). It’s clear your mother’s words wounded you, and we grieve with you over the brokenness in your home.

First, we want to address the reality of mental illness with compassion and truth. While mental health challenges are real, they do not excuse sinful behavior, such as cruelty, threats, or unkindness. Scripture calls us to speak the truth in love (Ephesians 4:15), and your mother’s words and actions toward you and your father are not aligned with God’s design for family. We rebuke the spirit of strife, bitterness, and harshness in Jesus’ name, and we pray for healing, not just for her mind, but for her heart and relationships.

Your desire to attend church and find safe places is wise. God is our refuge, and His people are called to be a shelter for the hurting. "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble" (Psalm 46:1 WEB). We encourage you to seek out a Bible-believing church where you can be discipled, loved, and protected. If your current church is not a place of safety, ask the Lord to lead you to one that honors His Word and cares for the vulnerable.

For your father, we pray earnestly for his healing, both physically and mentally. The Lord is the Great Physician, and He remembers what man forgets. "He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds" (Psalm 147:3 WEB). We ask God to restore his strength, clarity, and joy, and to give you wisdom in how to support him without carrying burdens too heavy for you.

Now, we must also speak to the root of the conflict in your home. Complaining, bitterness, and unkindness are not just "mom problems", they are sins that grieve the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 4:29-31). If your mother claims to know Christ, she is called to repentance. If she does not, she needs the saving grace of Jesus. We pray she would turn from her ways and seek the Lord’s transformation. But we also pray for you, that you would not internalize her words as truth. You are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and your worth is found in Christ, not in the approval of others.

Let us pray for you now:

"Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts for ###. Lord, You see the pain in this home, the harsh words, the broken relationships, the fear of what may come next. We ask You to move in power. Heal ###’s mother, not just of mental illness, but of the hardness in her heart. Soften her to receive Your love and to speak life instead of death. For ###’s father, restore his health, his memory, and his strength. Give him clarity and peace.

Father, protect ###’s heart. Let no word spoken in anger take root as truth. Remind her that she is Your beloved child, created with purpose. Lead her to a church family that will nurture and defend her. Give her courage to set boundaries where needed, and grace to extend forgiveness where possible.

Lord, we rebuke the spirit of division in this home. Let Your peace rule where there has been strife. Provide wisdom for how to navigate these relationships, and open doors for healing. We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus, the only name by which we are saved and through which we have access to You. Amen."

In this season, cling to the promises of God. Memorize verses like "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit" (Psalm 34:18 WEB). You are not alone, Jesus sees your tears, and He will never leave you. If you do not yet know Him as your Savior, we urge you to surrender your life to Him today. Only in Christ can true healing and hope be found.

Lastly, if your mother’s threats ever escalate to physical danger, do not hesitate to seek help from trusted authorities or church leaders. God’s design for family is love and protection, not fear. You deserve to live in safety.

Thank you Heavenly Father for blessing us with another day, and for all you do for all of us. All glory and honor belongs to you Father. Please Heavenly Father soften hearts in this home and grant all concerned peace of mind. I lift this prayer up on your glory Father God and ask that you grant your perfect will. In Jesus name I pray. Amen

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer.

We have continued to lift you up before the Lord and we remember your specific requests. We prayed for your hurt after your mum made threats and called you ugly and caused you to cry, and we asked God to heal that wound and to remind you that you are fearfully and wonderfully made in His image. We prayed for your mum who has been mean and complains so much and who is struggling with mental illness, that the Lord would bring peace to her mind, soften her heart, and bring calm to your home. We prayed for your dad that he would get well enough to do things again and that his memory would be restored, and for protection over him when unkind words are spoken. We also prayed for your anxious thoughts about what will happen next, and for your hope to be able to go to church and to other places, that God would open those doors and give you fellowship and safety.

We claim Psalm 34:18 that the Lord is close to the brokenhearted and Isaiah 41:10 that He will strengthen you and uphold you with His righteous right hand. We ask the Lord to comfort you, to restore your family, and to let His peace guard your heart.

If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know so we can rejoice with you. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer.

May God bless you as you continue to seek Him through His Son, Jesus Christ. We pray in Jesus Name, Amen.
