Help my own business, far loss, personality

BlessedChristian female

Beloved of All
God, help me find my purpose & way to make money with my own company for you outside of corporate 9-5 for someone else! Bless me with sweet sleep and fat loss and awesome social skills! In Jesus name

We hear your cry for help and lift your concerns to the Lord with hearts full of compassion and faith. First, we rejoice that you have called upon the name of Jesus, for there is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12) and through whom we have access to the Father. We stand with you in agreement, believing that God has a purpose and plan for your life, one that includes prosperity, peace, and fulfillment in Him.

The Word of God tells us in Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." Your desire to step out in faith and build your own business is not outside of God’s will. He is the One who gives wisdom, creativity, and the ability to produce wealth (Deuteronomy 8:18). We encourage you to seek Him first in all your plans, trusting that He will direct your steps (Proverbs 3:5-6). The struggles you face now, financial loss, uncertainty, and even the longing for better health and social connections, are not beyond His reach. He is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20).

However, we must also gently address the areas where your desires may need alignment with God’s Word. While it is good to seek financial provision, we must ensure that our motives are pure and that our work is done unto the Lord, not merely for personal gain (Colossians 3:23). The pursuit of wealth can become a snare if it takes the place of our devotion to God (1 Timothy 6:9-10). We encourage you to examine your heart and ask the Lord to reveal any areas where your desires may be out of order. Are you seeking His kingdom first, or are you chasing after the things of this world? Matthew 6:33 reminds us, "But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well."

Your request for "fat loss" and "awesome social skills" also touches on areas where we must surrender our insecurities and struggles to God. While it is good to care for our bodies, which are temples of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20), we must guard against vanity or self-reliance. True confidence and social grace come from walking in the love and power of the Holy Spirit, not from our own efforts. The fruit of the Spirit, love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23), will draw people to you far more than any worldly charm or appearance.

Now, let us come before the Lord in prayer:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister who is seeking Your will for their life. Lord, You know the desires of their heart, the longing for purpose, provision, and peace. We ask that You would open the doors of opportunity for them to use their gifts and talents to build a business that honors You. Give them wisdom, creativity, and favor in the eyes of those who can help them. Lord, we rebuke the spirit of lack and financial struggle in Jesus’ name. You are Jehovah Jireh, our Provider, and we trust that You will meet every need according to Your riches in glory (Philippians 4:19).

Father, we also pray for their health. You are the Great Physician, and we ask that You would strengthen their body, renew their energy, and help them to honor You with their lifestyle. Give them discipline in their habits, but also remind them that their worth is found in You, not in their appearance or the opinions of others. Lord, we ask that You would fill them with Your Holy Spirit, so that they may walk in confidence, kindness, and wisdom in their interactions with others. Remove any fear or insecurity, and replace it with Your perfect love, which casts out all fear (1 John 4:18).

Father, we ask that You would reveal Your purpose for their life. Show them the path You have set before them, and give them the courage to walk in it. Help them to seek You first in all things, and to trust that You will add all these other things unto them (Matthew 6:33). We declare that they are not a slave to the 9-5 grind, but a child of the Most High God, called to walk in freedom and abundance. We rebuke every lie of the enemy that tells them they are stuck, unworthy, or incapable. In Jesus’ name, we declare that they are more than conquerors through Christ who loves them (Romans 8:37).

Lord, we also pray for sweet sleep and rest for them. Calm their mind and their spirit, and let them find peace in Your presence. Help them to cast all their cares upon You, for You care for them (1 Peter 5:7). Renew their strength like the eagle’s, so that they may rise up and run without growing weary (Isaiah 40:31).

We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your goodness and Your faithfulness, and we declare that this season of struggle will turn into a testimony of Your power and provision. May our brother/sister walk in the fullness of what You have for them, bringing glory to Your name in all they do. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to spend time in God’s Word daily, seeking His face and His will for your life. Meditate on scriptures that speak to provision, purpose, and peace, such as Psalm 37:4-5, Proverbs 16:3, and Philippians 4:6-7. Surround yourself with godly counsel and community, for iron sharpens iron (Proverbs 27:17). And remember, the race is not given to the swift or the strong, but to the one who endures to the end (Ecclesiastes 9:11). Keep pressing into God, and He will lead you into the abundant life He has promised.

We hear so much bundled into your request, the deep desire for meaningful work that feels like your own, the weariness of financial pressure, and the longing for rest and confidence in how you move through the world. When sleep won't come and the body doesn't cooperate, everything else feels harder to navigate. That's not a small thing, and we're sorry you're carrying all of it at once.

One of the most practical things you can do right now is separate what's urgent from what's important. The business purpose and the money pressure feel immediate, but without decent sleep, your decision-making suffers and the emotional weight doubles. If sleeplessness has been persistent, a check-in with your doctor would be wise, not as a detour from prayer, but as a partner in it. Poor sleep can have physical roots that a physician can help identify.

On the vocational side, many men find their self-worth tangled entirely in their work, which makes seasons of financial loss or career confusion feel like a verdict on their whole identity. But your purpose isn't the same as your income stream, and a slow season in business doesn't mean you've missed God's direction. One concrete step: sit down this week and list out what you actually know you bring to others, specific skills, the kinds of people you serve best, the problems you solve, alongside what you've tried so far that hasn't worked. That kind of honest inventory often clarifies next steps better than spinning in anxious circles.

Father, we lift up this brother who is worn down by the strain of building something on his own. Bring clarity where there's fog, and provide for the genuine financial need in ways that remind him You see him. Grant him the gift of deep, restoring sleep, the kind that calms the mind and refreshes the body. Give him wisdom with his health, and let him find growing ease and warmth in his connections with others. Guard his heart from discouragement, and guide him toward work that honors You and fits how You've made him. In Jesus' name.

Even if the benefits and blessing of having a relationship with Father Hod are not apparently obvious i pray that you are able to appreciate all the possibility that having a relationship with God means both protection and opportunity to grow. Someone helping you when your in deep despair. And probably helping you prosper in your work life. As you continue to give prayer time and attention to the Lord each day be sure that he is with you watching over and helping you. Nay God bless. Lord Yeshuas name amen.

Profit and loss, these are the terms you set before the throne of grace. Yet weigh the matter carefully. That gold which you seek, if gained apart from the soul’s true wealth, is but a garment bedizened with splendour, oppressing the wearer with its weight. Estimate that gold at what price you like, but put the soul as a debt against it, and you find a fearful loss. If you could have all the world of sensual delights, apart from the grace of God to restrain your pleasures, you would find it then to be a dead loss. The soul is capable of heaven; its loss is a dreadful and terrific thing.

Yet you cry for purpose. Hear this: He is in one mind. In every event of Providence, God has a purpose, not only a purpose, but only one purpose, for all history is but one. This purpose is incapable of change. What his soul desireth, that he doeth. None of these things come to you by chance, but according to the purpose of his own will. You have to labour, yes, but within that unalterable design.

You ask for sweet sleep. We regard it always as a bad symptom when the sufferer says, “I cannot sleep.” Yet there is more than one slumber. Let us not sleep, as do others. Carnal security is a Delilah always. People go to sleep under that which once was like a thunderbolt to them. That is not the rest you crave. But to the beloved, he giveth a peculiar sleep, the sleep of contentment. How few are satisfied. Yet “so he giveth his beloved sleep.” The sleep of security also. Tired nature’s sweet restorer, balmy sleep, comes when all idea of forcing slumber has gone. You never know exactly when you go to sleep. So cease your striving, and trust.

You speak of your body and your manner among men. I observe that the peaceable fruits of righteousness, which tried ones put forth, are very sweet and luscious. And for your presence in the world, you must be with them in your business, indeed, you are sent to them, but while with them you must not be of them. Unobtrusive earnestness, quiet, simple-minded resolution to achieve your purpose, whether men will bear or forbear, praise or laugh, this is your wisdom. Your business is one which the first martyr followed, for Abel was a keeper of sheep. The shepherd’s business is such as is worthy of a king. Stand in the midst of your flock, ready to sacrifice life itself at God’s altar. Yours is the calling of Jacob, who said, “In the day the drought consumed me, and the frost by night; and my sleep departed from my eyes.” Feed my sheep, that is the whole of our business. He is always at that business, seeking poor sinners, and if you are engaged in the same search, you will be with him, enter into his feelings, share his desires.

There is a tendency to think little of the conversion of individuals, as if too slow for this progressive age. But if ever we despise the method of individual conversion, we wreck upon the rocks of hypocrisy. One lost sheep is worth the long pursuit. It is a long way to go, but he is so intent on his purpose. In proportion to the weight of the apprehension is the intensity of the relief when the sheep is found.

My friends, if we could weld together like bars of iron by the fire of a common purpose, instead of being frozen together by mere creed, how then would the Lord bless the work of our hands. Are you not one of those lame sheep that need looking after? There is no fear of his changing the purpose of his heart. Having loved his own, he loves them to the end. He still seeks poor sinners, and as you go forth in his name, you do so not for corporate gain but for the Shepherd. He cannot endure a loss on the flock handed to him. Ninety-nine is not a hundred. So go, and in your going, may he give his beloved sleep.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You seek God’s help for a business, for loss of weight, for sleep and social ease, and you ask to find your purpose and make money outside the confines of a master. But first consider this: the jailer, trembling before Paul, asked no such thing; he cried, “What must I do to be saved?” That was his whole concern when the earth shook and his chains fell. Your own life is that prison, and the Lord sends not earthquakes but the sign of His cross to shake you awake. Yet you ask for trifles while your soul slumbers.

The cross is your true freedom. You were bought with a price, the blood of Christ, so why be a slave to the desires of the belly, the purse, the opinion of others? When you sign yourself with the cross, quench every passion: the itch for gain, the craving for a sleek body, the hunger for approval. These are not freedom; they are drunkenness of the soul. You dream of a business that will serve God, but examine your heart. Is it not rather that you wish to escape the 9-to-5 yoke of men only to put on a heavier yoke of worldly care? Riches are a dream, and all the garments and gold you might acquire add nothing of true worth. The poor man in his threadbare cloak bears the heat better than the rich man sweltering in finery. Yet we toil and scheme through sleepless nights, not for Christ, but for a vapor.

You pray for sweet sleep and fat loss. I do not forbid care for the body, Paul himself bid Timothy use a little wine for his stomach, but make provision for health, not for lust. If you seek to be lean so that you may be admired, you are lighting a furnace of vanity. If you crave sleep to escape your anxieties, you are like a man who drinks to forget, but wakes to the same thirst. True sobriety is the intensity of watchfulness: a mind clear, unspotted, active, neither gloomy nor soft, fixed on the day of the Lord. Do you lie awake plotting business schemes or replaying slights? That is not sleep; it is the sleep of death. Shake off that evil sleep! The present life is a dream, and when the true Day dawns, all these phantoms will dissolve. What then will your business profit you?

You want awesome social skills. To what end? That men may praise you? That you may win clients? The apostles did not work for display; they sought men’s salvation. A Christian’s speech should be seasoned with grace, but if you polish your tongue for worldly success, you are planting thorns. Rather, practice freedom from despondency and anger, as Job did before his trials. Then your words will carry the weight of a soul awake, not the chatter of a dreamer. Let your purpose be not to make money for God, as if He needed your gold, but to win Christ. Count all else as loss: the career, the body, the reputation. When you have done that, you will find your true work, whether in a marketplace or a desert, and your sleep will be sweet because your conscience is clean.

Do not imagine that I condemn every business venture. But I urge you: test your motives. Do you labor in order to serve the needy, to support your household, and to have something to give? Or do you secretly love the idea of being your own master and piling up comfort? The jailer, once converted, washed the apostles’ wounds and set food before them. His business became service. Let your business be that: a means of love, not a chain of new worries. And as for your body, train it with sober discipline, fasting, not fad diets; prayerful vigils, not sleepless anxiety; modesty, not swagger. Then you will possess your vessel in honor.

The night is far spent; the day is at hand. Cast off the works of darkness. Do not suffer your foot to be moved by every passing desire. Stand steadfast, awake and sober, for your adversary prowls. Your purpose is not hidden in a business plan or a slim waistline; it is written on the cross. There you will find both your rest and your labor, your loss and your gain, your death and your life. Sleep then as one who has died with Christ, and rise to walk in the freedom of His day.
