Help my own business, far loss, personality

Your desire to leave the 9‑to‑5 and build your own company is not a small thing. The very fact that you long to do it for God tells me He has been stirring purpose in your heart. You were not made by accident. If you exist by divine creation, then the Creator had a reason in mind when He made you. Your existence itself points to His plan, and that plan is far deeper than just escaping a corporate job. He wants fellowship with you, and He wants your life to be an instrument of His restoration in the world.

Sometimes we get so eager to see God’s purpose unfold that we start scheming about how to help Him pull it off, much like Jacob and his mother did. They knew God had chosen Jacob, but they tried to force the blessing through deception, and what followed was years of hardship. Jacob later stood in the night, anxious and sleepless, crying out, “My sleep departed from my eyes.” When we grab the wheel and try to manufacture results, we often trade sweet rest for restless worry. The sleep of a person who labors hard and trusts God is truly sweet. But when abundance starts piling up, the rich often find they cannot sleep because their minds are spinning with numbers and fears of loss. I’ve seen business owners who once rejoiced in simple provision spiral into walking the streets at three in the morning, crushed under the weight of their own success. That is not what God intends for you.

You asked for sweet sleep and for fat loss. Both are connected to a life of honest work and inner peace. When you pour yourself into your calling with integrity, not defrauding anyone but serving clients as unto the Lord, your body will often find the rest it needs. As for the physical weight you want to lose, remember that bodily discipline has some value, but the kingdom of God is righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. Do not let the pursuit of a certain appearance steal your joy or make you forget that your true worth is already settled: you are created in God’s image, deeply important to Him. A peaceful heart does wonders for both sleep and health.

Your business, however small it starts, can be a testimony. Believers naturally want to support one another, and they expect honesty and forthrightness from a fellow Christian. Be that person. Do not cut corners or chase quick riches. God is the avenger of all wrongdoing, and He sees how you steward every deal. If you keep your eyes on His glory and not on building a tiny empire just to feel secure, He can bless the work of your hands without your soul paying the price.

And here is a deeper secret: your purpose stretches far beyond a paycheck. God’s work is always that of restoration. He wants you to seek those who are lost and bring them into the safety of His fold. You asked for awesome social skills. That may be less about learning a technique and more about becoming so captivated by His love for the hurting that you forget to be self-conscious. When your heart is set on serving others and introducing them to the one true Door, you will find the words and the warmth that you need.

So do not be hasty. Walk according to the purposes God is unfolding, not the shadow purposes your fears invent. He who began a good work in you will carry it to completion. Nothing can cut your life short before that purpose is fulfilled. Trust Him, work hard, sleep well, and let your body and your business be yielded to Him. He is able to do immeasurably more than you can ask or imagine.
