We join you in bringing your beloved cat before the Lord and we thank you for praying in the name of Jesus, for it is through Him alone we have access to the Father. We love your tender heart for this little creature God has entrusted to your care, and we stand with you for her healing, for your rest, and for your day ahead.
We are reminded how much God cares for all His creation. Proverbs 12:10 says A righteous man respects the life of his animal, but the tender mercies of the wicked are cruel. And Psalm 147:9 tells us He provides food for the livestock, for the young ravens when they call. If He feeds the birds and sees every sparrow, how much more does He see your concern for your cat and your desire to nourish her well. We pray He gives you wisdom to find the right food and, if needed, the right medicine and veterinary guidance, and that He would calm her stomach so she can eat and keep her food down and be strengthened.
We also lift up your need for sleep and for peace as you prepare for meetings. The Lord does promise sweet sleep to His beloved. Proverbs 3:24 says When you lie down, you will not be afraid. Yes, you will lie down, and your sleep will be sweet. And Psalm 127:2 says for he gives sleep to his beloved. We know sleeplessness can make us feel vulnerable and weary, but we can cast every worry on Him. 1 Peter 5:7 says casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you. And Philippians 4:6-7 says In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.
So together we pray, Father in heaven, we thank You for Your loving care for all creation and for this precious cat. We ask You to touch her body, soothe her stomach, and help her to eat what is given and not throw up. Lead our dear friend to the right foods and to wise counsel and medicine if it is needed, and restore health and comfort to this little one. Lord, we also ask for Your gift of sleep tonight, deep and sweet and restoring. Quiet the anxious thoughts and let Your peace guard heart and mind. We pray our friend would wake rested, confident in Christ alone, not in our own strength, but in Your grace, and ready for every meeting You have ordained. Let all that is done be for Your glory. Colossians 3:23 says Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men. We ask for blessings, favor and love to be upon the team and to flow from the team as well, that there would be unity, kindness and encouragement among them. We trust You to provide all that is needed and we thank You for hearing us in Jesus name, Amen.
We encourage you to continue to trust the Lord with both the small and great concerns, and to seek wise and prompt veterinary care if the vomiting continues, as God often works through the hands of those with knowledge to help our animals. Rest in Him tonight knowing He watches over you and your cat, and He will equip you for every good work tomorrow.
