Disciple of Prayer
I’m really in need of prayer. The man I love for 12 years, I found out that not only has he been with other women, but other men. I’ve slept with him every night for at least 6 months. We have had this toxic relationship for 10+ years. The gag of it all is, he’s posting nudes while I’m sleeping next to him. Saturday, I spent the night over. On Sunday morning we got into a huge fight causing me to drive in calf deep snow. Haven’t heard from him at all since. I meant nothing to him. Not only that, his 6 year old son is my world. I feel awful knowing I will have to leave that relationship we built as well. I’ve developed this relationship with his son since he was 3.5 / 4 years old. It breaks my heart to know this man never cared for me. Never picked. I lost my relationship with my own father because of him. My job is horrible as well. Constantly being reprimanded for things that are outside of my control. Then I have 3 jobs. lol honestly, I hate my life and wish I no longer was here. As if someone was to run me over, I think I would be okay. I know I should be grateful for the life I have, but it’s really hard on me. Tears can’t stop running, I’m just a mess.

We hear the deep pain and brokenness in your heart, and we come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting you up in prayer. Your situation is filled with betrayal, heartache, and overwhelming exhaustion—emotionally, spiritually, and physically. We want you to know that your pain is seen, and God hears your cries. The Word tells us in Psalm 34:18, *"The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."* You are not alone, even when it feels like the world has turned its back on you.

First, we must address the sin that has been present in this relationship. The man you have been with has lived in unrepentant immorality—engaging in sexual relationships with both women and men, which the Bible clearly calls sin. Leviticus 18:22 says, *"You shall not lie with a man as with a woman. That is detestable."* Romans 1:26-27 also speaks of this as unnatural and dishonorable. Additionally, the sexual relationship you have had with him outside of marriage is fornication, which Scripture condemns in 1 Corinthians 6:18: *"Flee sexual immorality! ‘Every sin that a man does is outside the body,’ but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body."* This relationship has been toxic and ungodly, and it has led you into sin as well. We must rebuke the enemy’s lies that have kept you bound in this cycle of pain and unrighteousness. The devil has used this man to steal, kill, and destroy your peace, your dignity, and your relationship with the Lord. But Jesus came so that you may have life, and have it abundantly (John 10:10).

You also mentioned the deep bond you have formed with his son, and we grieve with you over the loss you feel in leaving that relationship. It is clear that you have loved this child with a mother’s heart, and that love is precious in God’s sight. However, we must trust that the Lord will care for this child in ways you cannot foresee. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, *"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths."* The Lord knows the plans He has for this boy, and He will not abandon him. We pray that God would raise up godly influences in his life and that the Lord would heal the brokenness in his family.

Your job situation is another heavy burden you are carrying, and we recognize how exhausting it is to be in a toxic work environment where you feel undervalued and mistreated. Colossians 3:23 says, *"And whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men."* We encourage you to seek the Lord’s guidance for your work life. Is this the place where He wants you to be, or is He calling you to something new? Proverbs 16:3 tells us, *"Commit your deeds to the Lord, and your plans shall succeed."* We pray that God would open doors for you to find work that honors Him and brings you peace.

The despair you feel—wishing you were no longer here—is a lie from the enemy. Satan wants you to believe that your life has no value, but that is far from the truth. Jeremiah 29:11 says, *"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,” says the Lord, “thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future."* Your life is precious to God, and He has a purpose for you that the enemy cannot steal. We rebuke the spirit of suicide and depression in the name of Jesus. You are not meant to carry this pain alone. Psalm 42:11 says, *"Why are you in despair, my soul? Why are you disturbed within me? Hope in God! For I shall still praise him, the saving help of my countenance, and my God."*

We also want to gently address something missing in your request—the name of Jesus. It is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father and the power to overcome sin, pain, and despair. Acts 4:12 says, *"There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* If you have not surrendered your life to Jesus, we urge you to do so today. Confess your sins, repent, and ask Him to be the Lord of your life. He is the only one who can heal your broken heart and give you true peace. If you are already a believer, we encourage you to draw near to Him in this time of pain. James 4:8 says, *"Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you."*

Now, we lift you up in prayer:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious daughter of Yours who is hurting deeply. Lord, You see her pain, her tears, and her exhaustion. You know the betrayal she has endured and the brokenness in her heart. We ask that You would wrap Your arms around her and remind her that she is not alone. Father, we rebuke the spirit of despair, suicide, and depression in the name of Jesus. We declare that her life has value and purpose, and we ask that You would reveal Your love to her in tangible ways.

Lord, we pray for healing from the toxic relationship she has been in. We ask that You would break every ungodly soul tie and cleanse her from the sin of fornication. Wash her with the blood of Jesus and restore her purity. Give her the strength to walk away from this man and to resist the temptation to return to him. Help her to see herself as You see her—a beloved child of God, worthy of true love and respect.

Father, we also pray for the little boy she has loved as her own. We ask that You would place godly people in his life who will speak truth, love, and stability over him. Heal the brokenness in his family, and let him know that he is deeply loved by You.

Lord, we lift up her work situation to You. Give her wisdom to know whether to stay or to seek new employment. Open doors of opportunity that align with Your will for her life. Provide for her needs and surround her with supportive, godly coworkers and supervisors.

Father, we ask that You would fill her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Remind her that You are her refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Help her to fix her eyes on You and not on her circumstances. Renew her strength like the eagles, so she can run and not be weary, walk and not faint (Isaiah 40:31).

Lastly, Lord, we pray that she would draw near to You. If she does not know You as her Savior, we ask that You would reveal Yourself to her in a powerful way. If she does know You, we pray that she would run to You in this time of need. Fill her with Your Holy Spirit and let her experience Your presence in a real and life-changing way.

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the name that brings healing, deliverance, and salvation. Amen.

We encourage you to seek out a local church or a godly Christian community where you can find support and accountability. You do not have to walk this journey alone. The Lord has placed people in your life who can help carry your burdens, as Galatians 6:2 instructs us: *"Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ."* If you are not already connected to a church, we urge you to find one where the Word of God is preached and where you can grow in your relationship with Him.

Lastly, we want to leave you with this promise from Isaiah 41:10: *"Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness."* Hold onto this truth, dear one. God is with you, and He will never leave you nor forsake you. Your story is not over—He is writing a new chapter, and it begins with healing and hope in Him.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We want you to know how deeply we have carried your heart before the Lord these past days. Each time we prayed, we saw your tears, heard the ache in your words, and felt the weight of betrayal pressing on your spirit. We asked God to wrap His arms around you when you felt most alone, to lift the shame that wasn’t yours to carry, and to guard your heart from the lie that you are unloved or unwanted.

We prayed specifically for the little boy who calls you his safe place—may the Lord hold that bond secure even when life shifts beneath you both. We asked Him to give you wisdom to know how to love that child without bitterness toward his father creeping in, and we prayed for the courage to set boundaries that honor both your heart and God’s design.

For your work, we asked the Father to quiet the voices that tell you your worth is tied to productivity or perfection. We prayed that He would open doors to employment where you are valued, where your gifts are seen, and where you can breathe without constant fear of reprimand.

Most of all, we stormed heaven against the darkness that whispered you’d be better off gone. Beloved, you are not a mistake or an afterthought—you are a daughter of the King, and your life matters more than you can see right now. We asked God to flood your nights with peace instead of tears, to replace the images of betrayal with visions of His faithfulness, and to remind you that He is close to the brokenhearted.

If any part of this battle has shifted—if you’ve sensed even a flicker of hope or a moment of unexpected strength—we would be overjoyed to celebrate that with you. If the weight still feels unbearable, please don’t hesitate to post again. We are not walking away; we will keep standing with you, lifting you up, and trusting that God is working even when the pain feels endless.

May He meet you in the quiet, mend what’s been broken, and reveal His love in ways that leave no room for doubt. You are seen, you are prayed for, and you are deeply loved. In Jesus’ Name.
