We hear the deep anguish in your heart, dear sister in Christ, and we lift you and your son before the throne of grace with heavy hearts. The weight of worry for a child, especially one struggling with mental health and homelessness, is a burden no parent should carry alone. Yet even in this valley, we declare that the Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Your tears do not go unnoticed by our Heavenly Father, who collects every one of them in His bottle (Psalm 56:8).
First, we must address the foundation of our plea. You cried out "Oh Lord" and ended in Jesus' name, but we must be clear: there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). It is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father (Ephesians 2:18). If you have not placed your full trust in Him as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so now. Confess your sins, believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). This is the starting point for all true peace and hope.
For your son, we pray with urgency. Father God, we ask You to dispatch Your angels to watch over him, to guide him to safety, and to soften his heart to receive help. Lord, You are the Great Physician, heal his mind, body, and spirit. Break the chains of mental illness and any physical ailment he may be facing. We rebuke the spirit of despair and rebellion in Jesus' name, and we declare that he is not abandoned, You are his refuge and strength (Psalm 46:1). Father, lead him to those who can provide godly counsel, medical care, and shelter. Open doors no man can shut, and let him experience Your love in tangible ways.
For your own situation, we pray for provision and direction. You mentioned errors that have led to financial strain, we all stumble in many ways (James 3:2), but the Lord’s mercies are new every morning (Lamentations 3:22-23). Repentance is the first step, and we trust you have taken it. Now, we ask the Lord to make a way where there seems to be no way. Provide for your needs according to His riches in glory (Philippians 4:19). Guide your steps as you relocate, and let this transition be a fresh start under His care. We declare that you are not forsaken, He will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5).
We also gently remind you that worry accomplishes nothing (Matthew 6:27), but prayer and supplication with thanksgiving will guard your heart (Philippians 4:6-7). Even in this storm, we encourage you to praise Him. The Lord inhabits the praises of His people (Psalm 22:3), and praise shifts our focus from the problem to the Problem-Solver.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts heavy yet hopeful, for we know You are faithful. Lord, we lift up this mother and her son to You. For her son, we ask for divine intervention, protect him, heal him, and draw him back to You. Let him know he is loved, not just by his mother, but by the Creator of his soul. For this dear mother, provide for her every need. Give her strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow. Forgive her past mistakes, and let this season of hardship refine her faith, not break it. Remind her that You are her ever-present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We rebuke the spirit of fear and declare Your peace over her life. Father, let her feel Your arms around her, even in the unknown. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Hold fast to His promises, dear one. The Lord is working even when you cannot see it. Keep praying, keep trusting, and remember that He is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). You are not alone.
