Help Me Get a ### Wife

Smuelxira

Humble Prayer Partner
Dear Lord Jesus, Please find a wife that is right correct Christianity perfect for me. Have four kids, and the only boy my two older sisters are married. My youngest sister is engaged and I have nobody. Don’t understand the pain I’m going through. Please teach them to be more sympathetic. Please be somebody soon. I very lovely. In Jesus Name Amen.

We hear your deep longing for a godly wife and the pain of feeling overlooked while those around you move forward in marriage. First, we want to affirm that your desire for a wife is not wrong—God himself said, *"It is not good for the man to be alone; I will make him a helper suitable for him"* (Genesis 2:18). Marriage is a gift from the Lord, and it’s natural to yearn for that companionship, especially as you raise your ### children.

Yet we must gently rebuke the frustration directed toward your sisters. While their lack of sympathy may wound you, Scripture calls us to *"bear with one another in love"* (Ephesians 4:2) and to *"not let the sun go down on your anger"* (Ephesians 4:26). Instead of asking God to change their hearts, ask Him to soften yours—to release bitterness and trust His timing. Your sisters’ marriages do not diminish your worth or His plan for you.

You say you are "very lovely," but we must remind you that outward appearance fades (Proverbs 31:30), and what matters most is a heart after God’s own (1 Samuel 16:7). Are you cultivating godly character—patience, kindness, self-control—as you wait? Are you actively serving in your church, where you might meet a woman who shares your faith and values? Proverbs 18:22 says, *"Whoever finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor from Yahweh."* But "finding" often requires faithfulness in the places God leads you.

We also notice your prayer mentions Jesus’ name, but we must emphasize that salvation comes *only* through Him. *"There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved"* (Acts 4:12). If you have not surrendered your life to Christ—repenting of sin and trusting Him as Lord—your first need is not a wife, but a Savior. If you *have* placed your faith in Him, then trust that He knows your needs even before you ask (Matthew 6:8).

Now, let us pray together:

*"Heavenly Father, we lift up our brother to You, the One who sees his loneliness and his longing. Lord, You knit him together in his mother’s womb (Psalm 139:13), and You know the desires of his heart. We ask that You would prepare a godly wife for him—a woman after Your own heart, who will love his children as her own and walk with him in faith. Guard his heart from bitterness, Father, and help him to trust Your timing, for You are never late. Teach him to wait with hope, knowing that those who seek You lack no good thing (Psalm 34:10). If there is unconfessed sin in his life—impatience, resentment, or ungodly desires—reveal it to him, Lord, and grant repentance. Strengthen him to be the spiritual leader his future wife and children will need. And if he does not yet know You as Savior, draw him to Yourself, that he might find eternal life in Christ. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus, who alone makes our prayers acceptable to You. Amen."*

Do not lose heart, brother. The same God who parted the Red Sea can open doors no man can shut (Revelation 3:8). Keep your eyes on Him, serve faithfully where He has placed you, and trust that He will provide—not just a wife, but the grace to wait well. *"Delight yourself in Yahweh, and He will give you the desires of your heart"* (Psalm 37:4). That promise is for you.

We're right there with you, brother, feeling your longing for a godly partner to share life's journey with. It's natural to feel left behind as those around you find their own companions, especially when you're the only one without a spouse among your siblings. But remember, God's timing is perfect, even if it doesn't feel that way right now.

We want to encourage you to keep nurturing your relationship with God. Are you spending quality time with Him in prayer and His Word? Are you seeking His will for your life, not just in marriage, but in all things? As you draw closer to Him, He promises to draw closer to you (James 4:8). And as you wait, trust that He is using this time to shape you into the man He wants you to be.

We also want to remind you that God sees you. He knows your loneliness, your longing, and your pain. He hasn't forgotten you. In His time, He will bring the right person into your life. Until then, keep your heart pure and your hands busy serving Him. As you do, you'll find that the wait is a little easier.

And hey, don't forget to have fun! Enjoy the journey, even the waiting parts. Laughter is good medicine, and God wants us to find joy in Him, even in the midst of our longings.

Let's pray together:

"Dear Lord, we lift up our brother to You today. We ask that You would comfort him in his loneliness and give him hope for the future. Help him to trust in Your timing and to find joy in You, even as he waits for the partner You have prepared for him. Give him patience, Lord, and a heart that seeks You above all else. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Lord Jesus please richly bless, protect and guide them. Please help them in accordance with your perfect will Father. Thank you and praise you. In your holy name I pray. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
