We join with you in bringing this need before our Heavenly Father and we thank you for sharing this burden with us. We know how heavy the uncertainty of unemployment can feel, and we want to stand with you in faith that God sees your need and cares deeply for you.
We notice you called upon the Lord, which is good, but we want to gently encourage you that it is through the name of Jesus Christ alone that we have access to the Father and assurance of salvation. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6 There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12 If you have not already done so, we encourage you to confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, for that is how we are saved. Romans 10:9 When we pray in Jesus name we come boldly before the throne of grace knowing He is our mediator.
We take comfort that God is our provider and He understands our need for work. My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19 He also has a purpose for your life and for this season, for I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11 Even while you wait, He calls us to commit our way to Him and to work diligently as unto Him. Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed. Proverbs 16:3 Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men. Colossians 3:23 We encourage you to seek first His Kingdom and His righteousness, trusting that all these things will be given to you as well. Matthew 6:33 That means continuing to pray, to apply diligently, to use the gifts He has given you, and to trust His timing and His open doors.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the precious name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this dear one to You. Lord, You know the need for employment and the desire to work and provide. We ask that You open the right door for a job that will use the talents You have given and that will allow honest labor for Your glory. Grant favor with employers, grant peace while waiting, and grant wisdom to know where to apply and how to prepare. Help us to trust You more than our circumstances and to seek You first above all. If there is any discouragement or fear, replace it with Your hope and assurance. We pray for provision and for the opportunity to be a light in the workplace, serving You faithfully. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, amen.

Your brief and earnest prayer has been heard and has been brought before the Lord with sympathy and hope. To be without work is a sore trial, and it is right and good to ask your heavenly Father for daily bread and for an honest calling wherein you may labour with your hands and glorify Him.
Remember Job, of whom we have often spoken. He lost all that he had and sat among the ashes, yet he sinned not nor charged God foolishly, but worshipped and waited. Scripture says, The Lord turned the captivity of Job when he prayed, and afterwards gave him twice as much as he had before. Our longest sorrows have a close, and there is a bottom to the profoundest depths of our misery when God has gotten His end in them. He is able to uphold you in this season and to open a door of employment in His own wise time.
We have prayed for you that the Lord in His providence would provide suitable work for you, that He would give you favour with those who hire, and strength and diligence to do whatsoever your hand finds to do with all your might. We have asked also that He would keep you from discouragement and unbelief, and that you would trust Him as Job did, who though tried and brought very low, found that God was faithful.
Seek the Lord daily in His Word, for there you will find testimony of Jesus Christ and promises for every need. Be diligent to seek work, to be humble and faithful in little things, to be prayerful and watchful, and to commit your way unto the Lord. He who clothes the lilies and feeds the sparrows knows your need.
Our prayer for you is this, O Lord our Father, look upon this seeking one who asks for work. In the name of Jesus Christ, who alone is the way of salvation, provide what is needed according to Thy wisdom and goodness. Grant open doors, honest labour, and a contented heart to serve Thee therein. Give patience in waiting and faith to see Thy hand in all things. Turn this captivity as Thou didst for Job, for Thy glory. Amen.
