Beloved of All
I had problems with pornography, masturbation, flirting (with the opposite sex) and sexual sins... Now there is a great improvement! Let us give all the glory and thanks for this to the Lord Jesus Christ! But there is still a great need for more improvement (lasting and true) for the glory of God! Let us pray for this...Please pray that God will help me and guide me to do whatever it takes to remove these sins forever from my life and heart, in the Name of Jesus Christ. Let us pray that God will also work, renew my mind, make me very wise, so that these sins will forever be far from me, in the Name of Jesus Christ! Let us pray that God will show me mercy, speak to me, give me understanding and deliverance. I really prayed and cried a lot...😭

We rejoice with you and we give all the glory and thanks to the Lord Jesus Christ for the great improvement He has already worked in your life, for it is God who works in you both to will and to work for His good pleasure, Philippians 2:13. We have heard your tears and your earnest prayers and we join you now in crying out for lasting and true deliverance and complete freedom, for the glory of God.

We know that these sins you have named, pornography, masturbation, flirting outside of godly courtship, and all sexual sin, are indeed sin before a holy God and must be forsaken. The Scripture is clear that we are to flee sexual immorality, for every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body, 1 Corinthians 6:18. Jesus taught us that everyone who gazes at a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart, Matthew 5:28. Masturbation and pornography feed that lust of the flesh and defile the heart and the body which is meant to be a temple of the Holy Spirit, 1 Corinthians 6:19-20. Flirting with the opposite sex when it is not with the purpose of seeking a godly spouse in marriage dishonors God and can lead others into temptation as well. We must rebuke these things as sin and turn from them completely, not making provision for the flesh, Romans 13:14.

Yet we also rejoice that you have come in repentance, for if we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness, 1 John 1:9. Godly sorrow works repentance to salvation, 2 Corinthians 7:10, and your tears are not unseen by your Father who shows mercy to those who humble themselves before Him.

We encourage you to walk in the practical wisdom God provides for renewal and lasting victory. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, Romans 12:2. This renewal comes by daily filling your mind with the Word of God, by thinking on whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are pure, Philippians 4:8, and by walking by the Spirit so that you will not fulfill the lust of the flesh, Galatians 5:16. We encourage you to make a covenant with your eyes as Job did, Job 31:1, to cut off every source of temptation, to flee youthful lusts and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, 2 Timothy 2:22, and to bring your struggle into the light with a mature, trusted Christian brother for accountability, for we are to confess our sins to one another and pray for one another that we may be healed, James 5:16. No temptation has taken you except what is common to man, but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it, 1 Corinthians 10:13.

We pray together for you now.

Father in heaven, we come before Your throne of grace in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our only Savior and our only access to You. We thank You for the mercy You have already shown to our brother and for the improvement You have begun. We ask You to complete the good work You have started, Philippians 1:6, and to make it lasting and true for Your glory. Create in him a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within him, Psalm 51:10. Renew his mind, make him very wise with the wisdom that comes from above, James 1:5, so that he may discern and hate every evil way and love what is holy. Teach him to take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ, 2 Corinthians 10:5, and do not let sin reign in his mortal body that he should obey its lusts, Romans 6:12. Deliver him completely, speak to him, give him understanding, and keep these sins forever far from him. Fill him with Your Holy Spirit, with a love for Your Word and for prayer, and with a desire for purity that honors marriage as You designed it between one man and one woman. When temptation comes, show him the way of escape and give him strength to flee. Let him walk in freedom and in the joy of forgiveness, knowing that there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, Romans 8:1. We ask all of this in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

We were so encouraged to read your update and your desire to give all the glory to the Lord Jesus for the improvement you have seen. Thank you for sharing so honestly about how hard you have prayed and cried through this struggle. We hear how much you want lasting freedom and a renewed mind, and we join you in thanking God for the work He has already done and asking Him for more.

What you describe is familiar to many believers. Real change often comes not only in a single moment of breakthrough but in a steady walk afterward, learning to turn quickly to Christ when old thoughts or urges return, and not facing them alone. Isolation makes that walk much harder, while walking openly with others makes it stronger.

One practical step that has helped many is to invite one trusted, mature same-sex believer, a pastor or mentor, to know your story and check in with you regularly. Not to shame you, but to encourage you, pray with you, and help you stay honest when temptation comes. A small support group can serve the same purpose if that is available near you.

We are praying for you and we will keep praying.

Father, we thank You for the mercy You have already shown our brother and for the improvement he has seen by Your grace. We ask You to continue Your work in his heart and mind, to give him wisdom to walk in purity, strength to turn from what tempts him, and deep assurance of Your forgiveness and nearness. Lead him to the right people to walk beside him and keep him close to Jesus each day. In Jesus' name, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We have heard your cry and we give thanks with you unto the Lord Jesus Christ for the improvement already wrought, for every step away from sin is of His grace and to Him alone belongs all the glory. That you mourn over what remains and long for lasting and true deliverance is itself a token of the higher nature which is born in you by regeneration, whereby you are made a partaker of the Divine Nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

You do well to ask for a complete and abiding work, for any sin, whatever it is, if we cling to it and love it, will bring forth death. As the Scripture says, when lust has conceived, it brings forth sin and sin, when it is finished, brings forth death. That is the pedigree of sin. It is born of lust and it brings forth dust. Therefore purity must be sought with your whole heart, for without holiness no man shall see the Lord, and charity without purity will be of no use.

Be assured that deliverance from the power of sin is as much the work of God as deliverance from the guilt of sin. Where we look for justification, there must we also look for sanctification, for as we are justified through Jesus Christ, we must also expect to receive sanctification from a heavenly source. This deliverance is solely by the power of God. It is not of him that wills, nor of him that runs, but of God that shows mercy. Willingly as you are to move, it is still true, He brought them forth. He makes deliverance effectual and in every deed He brings His people forth.

And blessed be His name, He has not only invented a way of deliverance, but He has found a ransom. Nobody would have thought of that way of the deliverance of a sinner from the pit through a ransom if God had not thought of it. The prisoner is ready to be executed, but there comes to him undeserved deliverance from all punishment, for the King's own Son has borne the penalty of all his iniquities. When God Himself proclaims concerning him who is going down to the pit, I have found a ransom, then is the deliverance certain. Indeed, it is already accomplished in Christ.

To Him then you must look, not as to one who lived long ago and died, but as to one who is alive, your familiar Friend. When a child of God in deep distress believes in his Father and steadily looks to Him for deliverance, those eyes of faith have mighty power with Christ. Look to Him for all things, for wisdom and for renewal of mind, and He will not turn away.

We join our prayers with yours now, that the Lord will show you mercy, speak to you, give you understanding and perfect deliverance, and renew your mind and make you very wise in the way of holiness so that these sins will be forever far from you.

O Lord our God, we thank Thee for what Thou hast already done in this soul, for Thou hast begun to break the cords of lust and to lead Thy child toward purity. Complete what Thou hast begun. Deliver fully from the power of darkness and translate this soul more and more into the kingdom of Thy dear Son. Renew the mind by Thy Spirit, grant wisdom to flee temptation, to make no provision for the flesh, to keep the heart with all diligence. Wash the heart, keep the body as Thy temple, and let charity and purity be the two great garments of this life. For Thy mercy's sake, through the ransom Thou hast found, even Jesus Christ our Lord, grant lasting victory, that this life may declare the works of the Lord and show forth Thy praise. Amen.

Continue to look to Christ, to walk in the light, to feed upon His Word, to watch and pray, and to declare His works. If we had no troubles we would have less to declare, but He who has chastened you sorely will also be your song of deliverance. Rest your soul upon Him and God will yet come to your deliverance.
