Beloved of All
I had problems with pornography, masturbation, flirting (with the opposite sex) and sexual sins... Now there is a great improvement! Let us give all the glory and thanks for this to the Lord Jesus Christ! But there is still a great need for more improvement (lasting and true) for the glory of God! Let us pray for this...Please pray that God will help me and guide me to do whatever it takes to remove these sins forever from my life and heart, in the Name of Jesus Christ. Let us pray that God will also work, renew my mind, make me very wise, so that these sins will forever be far from me, in the Name of Jesus Christ! Let us pray that God will show me mercy, speak to me, give me understanding and deliverance. I really prayed and cried a lot...😭

We rejoice with you in the progress the Lord has already brought into your life! It is clear that you have cried out to Him in sincerity, and He has heard you. The fact that you recognize the need for lasting change and true freedom is evidence of the Holy Spirit’s work in your heart. We stand with you in prayer, asking God to complete the good work He has begun in you.

The sins you mention, pornography, masturbation, and flirtation leading to sexual temptation, are not merely struggles but strongholds that seek to enslave the heart and mind. The Bible warns us in 1 Corinthians 6:18-20, "Flee sexual immorality! ‘Every sin that a man does is outside the body,’ but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s." These words remind us that our bodies belong to the Lord, and every act of sexual sin defiles what He has set apart for holiness.

We must also address the heart behind these struggles. Jesus taught in Matthew 5:28, "But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman to lust after her has already committed adultery with her in his heart." Flirtation, even if it seems harmless, can become a gateway to lust and emotional unfaithfulness. The Lord calls us to purity not only in our actions but in our thoughts and intentions. Proverbs 4:23 urges us, "Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it is the wellspring of life." If we allow our hearts to be drawn toward temptation, we open the door to sin.

You are right to seek deliverance and renewal, for true freedom comes only through Christ. Galatians 5:1 declares, "Stand firm therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and don’t be entangled again with a yoke of bondage." This freedom is not just the absence of sin but the presence of righteousness, joy, and peace in the Holy Spirit. We must actively resist the enemy’s lies, for James 4:7 tells us, "Be subject therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you."

Let us pray together now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name, the only name by which we can be saved and set free. Lord, we lift up our brother/sister to You, thanking You for the work You have already done in their life. We ask that You would complete what You have started, for Philippians 1:6 assures us that "He who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ."

Father, we ask for true and lasting deliverance from the sins of pornography, masturbation, and flirtation that leads to lust. Break every chain, Lord, and set this heart free from every stronghold. Renew their mind, as Romans 12:2 commands, "Don’t be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God." Fill them with Your wisdom, for James 1:5 promises, "But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him."

We pray against every lie of the enemy that tells them they cannot be free or that this struggle will always be a part of their life. Instead, we declare the truth of Your Word: "If the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed" (John 8:36). Father, give them a hunger and thirst for righteousness, that they may be filled (Matthew 5:6). Surround them with godly accountability, and lead them to Scripture that will strengthen and guide them.

Lord, we ask that You would guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Help them to take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5). When temptation comes, remind them of Your faithfulness and Your promise in 1 Corinthians 10:13: "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it."

Father, we also pray for Your mercy and grace to cover them. Show them the depth of Your love, that they may run to You in their weakness, not away from You. Speak to them, Lord, through Your Word, through prayer, and through the counsel of godly believers. Give them the courage to confess their struggles and seek help, for James 5:16 tells us, "Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective."

We rebuke every spirit of lust, addiction, and deception that has sought to ensnare this child of Yours. In the name of Jesus, we command these spirits to leave and never return. We declare that this life is set apart for Your glory, and we pray that You would fill every void with Your presence, Your peace, and Your purpose.

Lord, we ask that You would prepare them for a godly marriage, if that is Your will for their life. Help them to pursue purity in every relationship, guarding their heart and body for the spouse You have for them. May they be a testimony of Your grace and a vessel of honor in Your kingdom.

We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your power to bring complete freedom and transformation. May this brother/sister walk in the fullness of the life You have called them to, for Your glory and for the advancement of Your kingdom. In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord with all your heart. Spend time in His Word daily, for it is alive and active, sharper than any two-edged sword (Hebrews 4:12). Memorize Scripture that speaks to your struggles, so that when temptation comes, you can fight back with the truth. Find a trusted, godly believer, perhaps a pastor, mentor, or friend, with whom you can share your struggles and who will hold you accountable. Accountability is not a sign of weakness but of wisdom, for "two are better than one... for if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow" (Ecclesiastes 4:9-10).

Consider fasting as a way to draw closer to God and seek His face. Jesus told His disciples in Matthew 17:21, "But this kind doesn’t go out except by prayer and fasting." Fasting is a powerful tool to break strongholds and align our hearts with God’s will.

Finally, remember that your identity is not in your struggles but in Christ. You are a new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17), redeemed and set free. The enemy will try to remind you of your past, but God calls you to walk in the freedom of your future. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). He is faithful, and He will complete the work He has begun in you.

We're grateful to hear of the real improvement God has already brought about, thank Him alongside you for that. The tears and prayers you've poured out haven't gone unnoticed, and this season of growth matters deeply.

As you long for complete, lasting freedom, we want you to know you're not walking this narrow road alone. Many who have found enduring purity discovered that it came through a mix of God's supernatural work and practical, day-by-day steps. Jesus renews our minds, but He often uses community and concrete choices to do it.

One of the most powerful next steps is to let the light of confession and accountability break the cycle of shame. Finding a mature, safe brother in Christ (or a small group of men) to share honestly with can make the hidden struggle lose its grip. Some also find significant strengthening through Christ-centered recovery groups, places where people understand the pull and walk together toward surrender. If the desires feel unmanageable at times, you might also consider sitting with a wise Christian counselor who can help address any underlying emotional patterns.

Remember, these sins often function as a false substitute for the real intimacy our hearts were made for. As you turn from them, keep pressing into Jesus for that true love and acceptance. He isn't put off by how slow it sometimes feels, He's committed to finishing what He started.

Lord Jesus, thank You for the victory already at work in this life. We ask You to lead the way forward. Give courage to take whatever steps are needed, cutting off access, walking into accountability, or simply holding on through moments of intense temptation. Renew this mind, grant deep wisdom, and let these sins grow smaller and smaller until they're gone. Deliver fully for Your glory. In Your name, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
