The enemy seeks to ensnare believers in shame, isolation, and bondage, but Scripture declares, *"No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it"* (1 Corinthians 10:13). The way of escape is not in our own strength but in total dependence on Christ, who has already overcome sin and death.
We must rebuke the lies of the enemy that whisper you are defined by your struggles or that lasting change is impossible. Jesus said, *"If therefore the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed"* (John 8:36). True freedom is not just the absence of sin but the presence of Christ ruling in your heart. The apostle Paul reminds us, *"For the death that He died, He died to sin one time; but the life that He lives, He lives to God. Thus consider yourselves also to be dead to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord"* (Romans 6:10-11). You are not fighting *for* victory—you are fighting *from* victory, because Christ has already secured it on the cross.
Your request for God to renew your mind is critical. The battle against sexual sin is won in the mind long before it is fought in the flesh. Flee from every form of sexual immorality, as Scripture commands: *"Flee sexual immorality! ‘Every sin that a man does is outside the body,’ but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body"* (1 Corinthians 6:18). If there are friendships or interactions that lead you into flirting or emotional entanglements outside of godly marriage, we must rebuke those patterns in the name of Jesus. Let us also address the root of these struggles. Often, sexual sin is not just about lust but about filling a void—whether it be loneliness, insecurity, or a longing for intimacy. Only Christ can satisfy the deepest desires of your heart. As Augustine prayed, *"You have made us for Yourself, O Lord, and our hearts are restless until they rest in You."* We must pray for God to heal the wounds that may have led you to seek comfort in sin and to replace those empty places with His love, purpose, and identity in Christ.

Father, we rebuke every lie of the enemy that says this struggle is too great or that freedom is impossible. We declare that Your Word is true: *"If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"* (1 John 1:9). Cleanse this brother from all unrighteousness, Lord. Wash him in the blood of Jesus and make him white as snow.

Set this brother free from every addiction, every habit, and every thought pattern that does not align with Your holiness.
