Help! I really prayed and cried a lot...😭

Beloved of All
I had problems with pornography, masturbation, flirting (with the opposite sex) and sexual sins... Now there is a great improvement! Let us give all the glory and thanks for this to the Lord Jesus Christ! But there is still a great need for more improvement (lasting and true) for the glory of God! Let us pray for this...Please pray that God will help me and guide me to do whatever it takes to remove these sins forever from my life and heart, in the Name of Jesus Christ. Let us pray that God will also work, renew my mind, make me very wise, so that these sins will forever be far from me, in the Name of Jesus Christ! Let us pray that God will show me mercy, speak to me, give me understanding and deliverance. I really prayed and cried a lot...😭

We rejoice with you in the progress the Lord has already brought into your life, for His Word declares, *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"* (1 John 1:9). You have taken the first and most crucial step by turning to Jesus Christ in repentance and seeking His deliverance. This is not a small thing—it is the beginning of true freedom. The fact that you are still pressing in for lasting victory shows your heart is aligned with God’s desire for holiness, and we stand with you in this battle.

The sins you mention—pornography, masturbation, and flirting with impure motives—are not merely personal struggles but offenses against God’s holy design for sexuality. The Bible is clear: *"Flee sexual immorality! ā€˜Every sin that a man does is outside the body,’ but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body"* (1 Corinthians 6:18). These sins distort the beauty of God’s gift of intimacy, which He created to be enjoyed exclusively within the covenant of marriage between one man and one woman. Your desire to be free is not just about behavior modification; it is about restoring the purity of heart that God intends for His children.

We must also address the root of these struggles. Often, sexual sin is not just about physical temptation but about deeper issues of the heart—loneliness, idolatry, or a misplaced search for fulfillment. Jesus warned, *"For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, sexual sins, thefts, false testimony, and blasphemies"* (Matthew 15:19). True deliverance will come as God renews your mind and transforms your desires. This is not a battle you fight alone; the Holy Spirit is your Helper, and His power is made perfect in your weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9).

Let us pray together now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude for the work You have already done in this brother’s life. We thank You for Your faithfulness to forgive and cleanse when we confess our sins. Lord, we ask that You would complete the work You have begun in him. Strengthen him with Your might so that he may stand firm against temptation. Renew his mind daily through Your Word, that he may no longer be conformed to the patterns of this world but transformed by the renewing of his mind (Romans 12:2). Father, we ask that You would break every chain of addiction and every lie that tells him he cannot be free. Fill him with Your Holy Spirit, that he may walk in purity and holiness.

Lord, we pray that You would guard his eyes and his heart. Create in him a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within him (Psalm 51:10). Help him to flee from sexual immorality and to pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace with those who call on You out of a pure heart (2 Timothy 2:22). Surround him with godly accountability and fellowship, that he may not be isolated in this battle. Give him wisdom to recognize the schemes of the enemy and the strength to resist them.

Father, we also ask that You would heal any wounds or emptiness in his heart that may have contributed to these struggles. Let him find his satisfaction in You alone, for You are the only One who can truly fulfill the deepest longings of his soul. Teach him to delight himself in You, and You will give him the desires of his heart (Psalm 37:4).

We declare over him the promise of Your Word: *"No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it"* (1 Corinthians 10:13). We believe that You are leading him into lasting freedom, and we stand with him in faith, trusting that You will do exceedingly abundantly above all that he could ask or think (Ephesians 3:20).

In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray and declare victory over this struggle. Amen.

We encourage you to remain steadfast in your pursuit of holiness. Here are some practical steps to help you in this journey:

1. **Immerse Yourself in Scripture**: The Word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword (Hebrews 4:12). Meditate on it daily, especially passages that speak to purity and godliness. Psalm 119:9-11 says, *"How can a young man keep his way pure? By living according to your word. I seek you with all my heart; don’t let me stray from your commandments. I have hidden your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you."*

2. **Accountability**: Find a trusted, godly brother in Christ who can walk with you in this journey. James 5:16 encourages us to *"confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed."* Accountability is not about shame but about walking in the light together.

3. **Guard Your Heart and Mind**: Be intentional about what you allow into your mind. Philippians 4:8 instructs us, *"Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report: if there is any virtue and if there is any praise, think about these things."* This includes the media you consume, the conversations you engage in, and the environments you place yourself in.

4. **Prayer and Fasting**: Combine your prayers with fasting, as Jesus taught that some battles are only won through prayer and fasting (Mark 9:29). Fasting helps to break the power of the flesh and aligns your spirit with God’s will.

5. **Replace Old Habits with New Ones**: Instead of filling your time with activities that lead to temptation, fill it with godly pursuits—serving in your church, studying Scripture, exercising, or engaging in hobbies that honor God.

6. **Remember Your Identity in Christ**: You are not defined by your struggles but by your position in Christ. You are a new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17), and the old has passed away. Walk in the truth of who God says you are.

Lastly, do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season you will reap if you do not faint (Galatians 6:9). The enemy will try to discourage you, but remember that greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). Your victory is not in your own strength but in the power of the Holy Spirit working within you. Keep pressing in, keep seeking God’s face, and keep believing in His promises. He is faithful, and He will complete the good work He has begun in you (Philippians 1:6).

We're right there with you, brother. We're cheering you on as you strive for lasting freedom and the true glory of God. Let's pray together:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You, thanking You for the progress we've seen in our ###'s life. We praise You for Your faithfulness in forgiving and cleansing him as he confesses his sins. Lord, we ask that You would continue Your good work in him, helping him to stand firm against temptation and to flee from sexual immorality. Fill him with Your Holy Spirit, that he may walk in purity and holiness.

Father, we ask that You would renew his mind daily, transforming his desires and helping him to no longer be conformed to the patterns of this world. Give him wisdom to recognize the schemes of the enemy and the strength to resist them. Surround him with godly accountability and fellowship, that he may not be isolated in this battle.

We also ask that You would heal any wounds or emptiness in his heart that may have contributed to these struggles. Help him to find his satisfaction in You alone, for You are the only One who can truly fulfill the deepest longings of his soul.

In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray and declare victory over this struggle. Amen.

We're here with you, cheering you on every step of the way. Keep seeking God's face, and keep believing in His promises. He is faithful, and He will complete the good work He has begun in you.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
