Help! I really prayed and cried a lot...😭

Beloved of All
I had problems with pornography, masturbation, flirting (with the opposite sex) and sexual sins... Now there is a great improvement! Let us give all the glory and thanks for this to the Lord Jesus Christ! But there is still a great need for more improvement (lasting and true) for the glory of God! Let us pray for this...Please pray that God will help me and guide me to do whatever it takes to remove these sins forever from my life and heart, in the Name of Jesus Christ. Let us pray that God will also work, renew my mind, make me very wise, so that these sins will forever be far from me, in the Name of Jesus Christ! Let us pray that God will show me mercy, speak to me, give me understanding and deliverance. I really prayed and cried a lot...😭

We rejoice with you in the progress the Lord Jesus Christ has already brought into your life! Your heartfelt cry for deliverance and transformation is a powerful testimony to His grace at work in you. The fact that you are seeking lasting victory—not just temporary change—shows that the Holy Spirit is moving deeply within you. We stand with you in prayer, declaring that God is faithful to complete the good work He has begun in you (Philippians 1:6).

The sins you mentioned—pornography, masturbation, flirting with impure motives, and sexual immorality—are not merely struggles of the flesh but battles for the soul. These things wage war against the Spirit within you, seeking to enslave and defile what God has called holy (1 Peter 2:11). But we serve a God who breaks chains! Jesus came to set the captives free (Luke 4:18), and in His name, we rebuke every spirit of lust, addiction, and deception that has sought to entangle you. The enemy may have whispered lies that you cannot overcome, that you are too weak, or that this sin is "just part of who you are." But we declare those lies crushed under the blood of Christ! You are not defined by your struggles but by the One who has redeemed you. "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it" (1 Corinthians 10:13).

True and lasting victory comes not by our own strength but by the power of the Holy Spirit working in us. We pray that God would renew your mind daily through His Word, that you would meditate on what is pure, lovely, and honorable (Philippians 4:8). The battle for holiness is often won or lost in the mind, so we ask the Lord to guard your thoughts, to fill you with His truth, and to make you wise in the ways of righteousness. "How can a young man keep his way pure? By living according to your word" (Psalm 119:9). We encourage you to saturate yourself in Scripture, for it is the sword of the Spirit (Ephesians 6:17) that cuts through the lies of the enemy.

We also urge you to flee from every form of sexual immorality (1 Corinthians 6:18). This means not only avoiding the act itself but also the environments, media, and relationships that stir up temptation. If certain friendships or social media interactions lead you into flirting or impure thoughts, it may be necessary to distance yourself for a season or permanently. God calls us to purity, and that includes guarding our hearts in all our relationships. "Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it" (Proverbs 4:23). If you are not yet married, we encourage you to pursue godly courtship with the intent of marriage, keeping all interactions honorable and above reproach.

We pray that the Lord would give you accountability—a trusted brother or sister in Christ who can walk with you, pray for you, and speak truth into your life when you are weak. "Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow; but woe to him who is alone when he falls, and doesn’t have another to lift him up" (Ecclesiastes 4:9-10). Isolation is the enemy’s playground, but fellowship in Christ brings strength and healing.

Most of all, we pray that you would draw nearer to Jesus than ever before. The closer you are to Him, the farther sin will flee from you. Let your heart be captivated by His love, His sacrifice, and His holiness. "Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded" (James 4:8). Every time temptation comes, run to Him—not to shame or condemnation, but to grace and mercy. Jesus is not waiting to punish you; He is waiting to embrace you and set you free.

Let us pray together now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, giving You all the glory for the work You have already done in this dear brother’s life. Lord, we thank You that You are not finished with him yet. We ask that You would complete the transformation You have started, making him holy as You are holy. Father, we rebuke every spirit of lust, addiction, and deception that has sought to ensnare him. We declare that he is more than a conqueror through Christ Jesus (Romans 8:37), and we plead the blood of Jesus over every area of his life that has been touched by sin.

Lord, renew his mind by Your Word. Let Your truth be a lamp to his feet and a light to his path (Psalm 119:105). Fill him with Your Holy Spirit, that he may walk in purity and self-control. Give him wisdom to recognize temptation before it takes root and the strength to flee from every appearance of evil. Surround him with godly accountability and fellowship, that he would not walk this journey alone.

Father, we ask that You would speak to his heart in powerful ways. Let him hear Your voice clearly, whether through Your Word, through prayer, or through the counsel of Your people. Give him a hunger and thirst for righteousness that can only be satisfied in You (Matthew 5:6). Break every chain of bondage, and let him walk in the freedom that Christ died to give him.

We pray for lasting victory, Lord—not just temporary relief, but a transformed heart that desires You above all else. May his life bring glory to Your name, and may others see Your power at work in him. Thank You, Father, for Your mercy, Your grace, and Your unfailing love. We trust You to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20), and we declare this prayer answered in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Keep pressing into Jesus, dear brother. The road to freedom is not always easy, but it is always worth it. You are not fighting this battle alone—we are with you, and more importantly, the Lord of Hosts is fighting for you. His grace is sufficient, and His power is made perfect in your weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). Walk in that truth, and let it carry you forward into the victory He has already won.

We're right there with you, brother, cheering you on in this journey. We're so glad to see the progress you've made, and we're here to lift you up in prayer. We believe that God is not done with you yet, and we're excited to see the full transformation He has in store for you.

We want to echo the prayer for renewal of your mind, that God would fill you with His wisdom and understanding. We also pray that God would give you a deep hunger for righteousness, a hunger that only He can satisfy. We ask that He would speak to your heart, guiding you and revealing His will for your life.

We also want to pray for accountability. We believe that having a trusted brother or sister in Christ to walk alongside you, pray for you, and speak truth into your life is crucial. We ask that God would provide this for you.

And finally, we want to pray for lasting victory. We're not just praying for temporary relief, but for a heart that desires God above all else. We believe that as you draw near to Jesus, He will draw near to you, and sin will flee from you. We declare this prayer answered in Jesus' name, and we trust that God will exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think.

Keep pressing into Jesus, brother. We're with you, and we believe in the power of God working in your life. His grace is sufficient, and His power is made perfect in weakness. Walk in that truth, and let it carry you forward into the victory He has already won.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
