Beloved of All
I had problems with pornography, masturbation, flirting (with the opposite sex) and sexual sins... Now there is a great improvement! Let us give all the glory and thanks for this to the Lord Jesus Christ! But there is still a great need for more improvement (lasting and true) for the glory of God! Let us pray for this...Please pray that God will help me and guide me to do whatever it takes to remove these sins forever from my life and heart, in the Name of Jesus Christ. Let us pray that God will also work, renew my mind, make me very wise, so that these sins will forever be far from me, in the Name of Jesus Christ! Let us pray that God will show me mercy, speak to me, give me understanding and deliverance. I really prayed and cried a lot...😭

We rejoice with you in the victory and progress the Lord Jesus Christ has already brought into your life! Your heartfelt cry for deliverance and transformation is a powerful testimony of His grace at work within you. The fact that you are seeking lasting change for God’s glory is evidence of the Holy Spirit’s conviction and leading. We stand with you in prayer, lifting you before the throne of grace, where true and enduring freedom is found.

The struggles you describe—pornography, masturbation, flirting with sinful intent, and other sexual sins—are not merely habits or weaknesses, but spiritual battles that must be fought with the weapons of God. These sins distort the beauty of God’s design for intimacy, which is reserved solely for the covenant of marriage between one man and one woman. Any sexual expression outside of this sacred union is a violation of His holy standards, and we must not minimize or excuse it. The Bible is clear: *"Flee sexual immorality! ‘Every sin that a man does is outside the body,’ but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s"* (1 Corinthians 6:18-20). These words are not meant to condemn you, but to remind you of the high calling you have as a child of God—one who has been redeemed by the blood of Christ and indwelt by the Holy Spirit.

Your desire for lasting change is commendable, and we must approach this battle with both humility and determination. First, we must recognize that true transformation comes not by our own strength, but by the power of God working in us. As you have already experienced, prayer and tears are not in vain—they are the cries of a heart that is desperate for God’s intervention. The psalmist wrote, *"The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit. A broken and contrite heart, O God, You will not despise"* (Psalm 51:17). God delights in a heart that is surrendered to Him, and He is faithful to respond to those who seek Him with sincerity.

Yet, we must also be proactive in this fight. Sin thrives in secrecy, so we encourage you to bring these struggles into the light. Confess them not only to God, but to trusted, godly believers who can pray with you, hold you accountable, and speak truth into your life. James 5:16 tells us, *"Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective."* Accountability is not a sign of weakness, but of wisdom. Surround yourself with people who will encourage you to walk in purity and who will remind you of God’s promises when temptation comes.

Renewing your mind is another critical step in this journey. The world bombards us with messages that distort God’s design for sexuality, and we must actively replace those lies with the truth of Scripture. Meditate on God’s Word daily, allowing it to shape your thoughts and desires. Romans 12:2 instructs us, *"Don’t be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God."* Fill your mind with Scripture, worship, and godly content that will strengthen your spirit and weaken the grip of sin.

We must also address the root of these struggles. Often, sexual sin is not just about physical temptation, but about deeper issues such as loneliness, insecurity, or a desire for intimacy that has been misdirected. Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal the underlying causes of these sins in your life. Are you seeking comfort, validation, or escape? Bring these needs before God and allow Him to meet them in ways that honor Him. He is the only one who can truly satisfy the longings of your heart. As Jesus said, *"Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled"* (Matthew 5:6).

In moments of temptation, remember that you have been given the power to resist. 1 Corinthians 10:13 assures us, *"No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it."* God always provides a way out—whether it is fleeing the situation, crying out to Him in prayer, or reaching out to a brother or sister in Christ. Do not underestimate the power of the name of Jesus in these moments. The enemy flees at the authority of Christ, and you have been given that authority as His child.

We also want to encourage you to replace these sinful habits with godly ones. When temptation strikes, redirect your thoughts and actions toward something that honors God. This could be prayer, reading Scripture, serving others, or engaging in a hobby that builds you up. The more you fill your life with things that are pure, lovely, and praiseworthy (Philippians 4:8), the less room there will be for sin to take hold.

Let us pray with you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude for the work You have already done in this beloved brother’s life. We thank You for the victory he has experienced and for his hunger to walk in complete freedom for Your glory. Lord, we ask that You would continue to break every chain of sexual sin in his life. Strengthen him with Your might so that he may stand firm against temptation. Renew his mind daily with Your truth, and fill him with wisdom to discern Your will.

Father, we ask that You would reveal the root causes of these struggles and heal any wounds or unmet needs that may be driving him toward sin. Meet him in his loneliness, his insecurity, and his longing for intimacy, and satisfy him with Your love. Surround him with godly accountability and encouragement, and give him the courage to walk in the light.

Lord, we rebuke the enemy’s lies and schemes in the name of Jesus. We declare that this brother is no longer a slave to sin, but a new creation in Christ, called to walk in purity and holiness. Fill him with Your Holy Spirit, and empower him to flee from temptation and pursue righteousness. May his life be a testimony of Your transforming power, and may he bring glory to Your name in all that he does.

We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name, the name by which we are saved and set free. Amen.

Keep pressing into the Lord, dear brother. The road to lasting freedom is not always easy, but it is worth it. You are not alone in this battle—God is with you, and so are we. The same power that raised Christ from the dead lives in you, and that power is greater than any sin or temptation. Fix your eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith, and run with endurance the race set before you (Hebrews 12:1-2). He is faithful, and He will complete the good work He has begun in you (Philippians 1:6).

Dear friend, we're right there with you, praying and believing for your complete freedom. We're so encouraged by your progress and your desire for lasting change. Let's keep pressing in together, shall we?

First, let's remind ourselves of the truth that sets us free. Jesus said, "If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free" (John 8:31-32). So, let's immerse ourselves in His Word, meditate on it day and night, and allow it to guide our thoughts and actions.

Remember, too, that God is always faithful to His promises. He says, "I will never leave you nor forsake you" (Hebrews 13:5). So, let's trust Him in this journey. When temptations come, let's run to Him, cry out to Him, and rely on His strength, not our own.

Let's also support each other in love. We're all in this together, and we need each other's prayers, encouragement, and accountability. Let's be open about our struggles, confide in trusted brothers and sisters, and hold each other accountable to walk in purity.

And finally, let's remember that God is at work in us. He who began a good work in us will carry it on to completion (Philippians 1:6). So, let's keep stepping out in faith, trusting that He is faithful to finish what He started.

Let's pray:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today, thanking You for Your faithfulness in ###'s life. We ask that You would continue to break every chain of sexual sin in their life. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, empowering them to flee from temptation and pursue righteousness. Reveal any root causes of these struggles, and heal any wounds or unmet needs. Surround them with godly accountability and encouragement. In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen."
