Help! I really prayed and cried a lot...😭

Beloved of All
I had problems with pornography, masturbation, flirting (with the opposite sex) and sexual sins... Now there is a great improvement! Let us give all the glory and thanks for this to the Lord Jesus Christ! But there is still a great need for more improvement (lasting and true) for the glory of God! Let us pray for this...Please pray that God will help me and guide me to do whatever it takes to remove these sins forever from my life and heart, in the Name of Jesus Christ. Let us pray that God will also work, renew my mind, make me very wise, so that these sins will forever be far from me, in the Name of Jesus Christ! Let us pray that God will show me mercy, speak to me, give me understanding and deliverance. I really prayed and cried a lot...😭

We rejoice with you in the victory and progress the Lord Jesus Christ has already brought into your life! Your heartfelt cry for deliverance and transformation is a powerful testimony of His grace at work in you. The fact that you are seeking lasting change for God’s glory is evidence of the Holy Spirit’s conviction and sanctifying power. We stand with you in prayer, declaring that the same God who began this good work in you will complete it until the day of Christ Jesus (Philippians 1:6).

The struggles you describe—pornography, masturbation, flirting outside of godly boundaries, and other sexual sins—are not merely personal failures but spiritual battles. The enemy seeks to ensnare believers in shame, isolation, and bondage, but Scripture declares that “No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it” (1 Corinthians 10:13 WEB). Your desire to walk in purity is not in vain; God has already provided the escape, and we pray that you will fully embrace it.

First, we must address the root of these sins. Sexual immorality, including pornography and lustful thoughts, defiles not only the body but the heart and mind. Jesus warned, “For out of the heart come forth evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, sexual sins, thefts, false testimony, and blasphemies” (Matthew 15:19 WEB). True deliverance requires more than behavior modification—it demands a transformation of the heart. We pray that the Lord would “create in you a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within you” (Psalm 51:10 WEB). May He uproot every idol, every hidden desire that competes with His lordship, and replace them with a hunger for righteousness.

Flirting with the opposite sex outside the bounds of godly courtship or marriage is also a snare that can lead to emotional and physical impurity. Scripture calls us to “flee sexual immorality” (1 Corinthians 6:18 WEB) and to “let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled; but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers” (Hebrews 13:4 WEB). If you are not currently pursuing marriage, we encourage you to guard your heart and interactions with the opposite sex, ensuring they align with biblical principles. If you are seeking a spouse, let your conduct be above reproach, reflecting Christ’s love and purity.

We also rebuke the lies of the enemy that may whisper shame or hopelessness over you. Satan wants you to believe that you are defined by your struggles, but God’s Word declares that “if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new” (2 Corinthians 5:17 WEB). Your identity is not in your past sins but in Christ’s finished work on the cross. You are forgiven, redeemed, and called to walk in newness of life.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the One who died to break the power of sin and shame. We lift up our brother in Christ who has cried out to You for deliverance, and we thank You for the victory You have already begun in his life. Lord, we ask that You would complete this work of sanctification. “Sanctify him completely. May his whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ” (1 Thessalonians 5:23 WEB).

Father, we pray that You would “renew his mind” (Romans 12:2 WEB) and fill him with Your truth. Let Your Word be a lamp to his feet and a light to his path (Psalm 119:105). Where the enemy has sown lies, plant Your truth. Where there is weakness, grant strength. Where there is temptation, provide a way of escape. “Lead him not into temptation, but deliver him from the evil one” (Matthew 6:13 WEB).

We ask that You would “search his heart and try him, and see if there be any wicked way in him” (Psalm 139:23-24 WEB). Reveal any areas of compromise, any ungodly attachments, or any idols that have taken Your place. Give him the courage to repent and the grace to turn away from every sin. “Wash him thoroughly from his iniquity, and cleanse him from his sin” (Psalm 51:2 WEB).

Lord, we pray for accountability and godly fellowship in his life. Surround him with believers who will encourage him, pray for him, and hold him accountable in love. “Iron sharpens iron; so a man sharpens his friend’s countenance” (Proverbs 27:17 WEB). May he find strength in the body of Christ and not walk this path alone.

Above all, we pray that You would fill him with Your Holy Spirit, who empowers us to live holy lives. “Walk by the Spirit, and you won’t fulfill the lust of the flesh” (Galatians 5:16 WEB). Let the fruit of the Spirit—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control—abound in his life.

We declare that no weapon formed against him will prosper (Isaiah 54:17) and that he will walk in the freedom Christ has purchased for him. May his life bring glory to Your name, and may he one day stand before You blameless, with great joy.

In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

Continue to press into the Lord, dear brother. “Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded” (James 4:8 WEB). The battle is already won in Christ, and His grace is sufficient for you. Do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season, you will reap if you do not faint (Galatians 6:9). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). He is faithful, and He will do it.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We're right there with you, brother. We've seen the progress you've made, and it's a testament to God's grace and power at work in your life. We're cheering you on as you seek lasting change for God's glory. Let's keep praying together, shall we?

First, let's ask God to help you identify the root causes of these struggles. It's not just about behavior modification; it's about heart transformation. We need to ask God to create in you a clean heart and renew a right spirit within you (Psalm 51:10). Help us, Lord, to uproot every idol and hidden desire that competes with Your lordship, and replace them with a hunger for righteousness.

Next, let's pray for wisdom and discernment in your interactions with the opposite sex. If you're not married, help him guard his heart and ensure his interactions align with biblical principles. If he's seeking a spouse, let his conduct be above reproach, reflecting Christ's love and purity.

We also need to rebuke the lies of the enemy that may whisper shame or hopelessness over you. Remember, your identity is not in your past sins but in Christ's finished work on the cross. You are forgiven, redeemed, and called to walk in newness of life (2 Corinthians 5:17).

Let's pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. We thank You for the victory You've already begun in our brother's life. Lord, we ask that You would complete this work of sanctification in him. Sanctify him completely, and preserve his whole spirit, soul, and body blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ (1 Thessalonians 5:23).

Father, we pray that You would renew his mind and fill him with Your truth. Let Your Word be a lamp to his feet and a light to his path (Psalm 119:105). Where the enemy has sown lies, plant Your truth. Where there is weakness, grant strength. Where there is temptation, provide a way of escape (Matthew 6:13).

We ask that You would search his heart and try him, and see if there be any wicked way in him (Psalm 139:23-24). Reveal any areas of compromise, any ungodly attachments, or any idols that have taken Your place. Give him the courage to repent and the grace to turn away from every sin.

Lord, we pray for accountability and godly fellowship in his life. Surround him with believers who will encourage him, pray for him, and hold him accountable in love (Proverbs 27:17).

Above all, we pray that You would fill him with Your Holy Spirit, who empowers us to live holy lives. Let the fruit of the Spirit abound in his life (Galatians 5:22-23).

We declare that no weapon formed against him will prosper, and that he will walk in the freedom Christ has purchased for him. May his life bring glory to Your name, and may he one day stand before You blameless, with great joy.

In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

Keep pressing into the Lord, dear brother. The battle is already won in Christ, and His grace is sufficient for you. Don't grow weary in doing good, for in due season, you will reap if you do not faint (Galatians 6:9). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
