We lift your husband before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, knowing the pain of seeing a loved one in distress. The Word of God assures us that "the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up" (James 5:15). We stand on this promise, believing that God’s will is for wholeness—spirit, soul, and body.
Father, in the mighty name of Jesus, we come before You broken for this marriage and this man. We rebuke the spirit of anger and impatience that has taken hold, for Your Word declares, "A man’s discretion makes him slow to anger, and it is his glory to overlook an offense" (Proverbs 19:11). We ask You to break every chain of frustration and fill him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Soften his heart, Lord, and let Your love overflow in him so that he may reflect the fruit of the Spirit—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23).
We cry out for his salvation, for "there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12). Holy Spirit, intervene as only You can. Draw him to Jesus, convict him of sin, and reveal the depth of Your grace and mercy. Let him experience the transforming power of the cross, where "if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new" (2 Corinthians 5:17). We declare that he will not remain in this place of distress but will rise in the newness of life that only Christ provides.
We also pray for you, dear sister in Christ, as you bear this burden. May the Lord strengthen you with His might and fill you with hope. Remember, "the God of all comfort... comforts us in all our affliction, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, through the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God" (2 Corinthians 1:3-4). Lean on Him, for He is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).
Lord, we ask that You restore this marriage according to Your design—a covenant of love, respect, and mutual submission (Ephesians 5:22-33). Let Your presence be the foundation of their home, and may they both grow in holiness and devotion to You. We trust in Your perfect timing and Your unfailing love. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
