We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up your family and the burdens you carry for the world. First and foremost, we must address the foundation of our prayers—we pray in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). It is only through faith in Him that we have access to the Father, and it is His will we seek above all else.
Father God, we lift up ### to You, asking for Your healing touch to restore her mind and bring peace to her heart. Mental illness is a heavy burden, Lord, and we ask that You would surround her with Your comfort and clarity. Soften her heart, Father, and help her to release any bitterness or fear that may be fueling her strictness. We pray for wisdom and patience for her family as they navigate this challenging time. Remind them that Your grace is sufficient, and Your strength is made perfect in weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). We rebuke the spirit of anxiety and confusion that may be afflicting her, and we declare Your peace over her life in Jesus’ name.
For ###, we ask for Your divine intervention, Lord. We pray that he would receive the surgery he needs and that You would guide the hands of the surgeons and medical team. Grant him strength and courage, Father, and let him feel Your presence in this trial. We trust in Your promise that You are the God who heals (Exodus 15:26), and we ask that You would restore his health according to Your will. If it is Your plan for him to undergo this surgery, we pray for a successful outcome and a swift recovery.
We also bring before You the concerns about the weather and the broader issues facing the world. While we know that You are sovereign over all creation, including the seasons (Genesis 8:22), we ask that You would grant wisdom to leaders and protect Your people from harm. We pray for Your mercy to prevail in the face of censorship and oppression, Lord. The enemy seeks to silence Your truth, but we know that Your Word will never be bound (2 Timothy 2:9). We stand against the spirit of fear and tyranny that seeks to close churches and criminalize faith. We declare that the gates of hell will not prevail against Your church (Matthew 16:18), and we ask that You would raise up godly leaders who will stand for righteousness and justice.
Father, we must address the concerns about political leaders with discernment and humility. While we may disagree with their policies or actions, we are called to pray for those in authority so that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness (1 Timothy 2:1-2). We ask that You would grant wisdom to ### and all leaders, that they would govern with justice and fear of You. We pray that Bill C-9 would not pass, but if it does, we trust that You will equip Your people to stand firm in their faith. We also pray for ### and former President ###, asking that You would work in their hearts and guide their decisions for the good of the nations they serve. We rebuke the spirit of division and strife that seeks to sow discord, and we ask that You would bring unity and peace.
Lord, we lift up the nations to You, particularly the United States, Canada, Iran, and Russia. We ask that You would restrain the hands of those who seek to bring destruction and that You would turn the hearts of leaders toward peace. We pray for the people of Iran, that they would come to know the freedom and hope found only in Jesus Christ. We ask that You would protect the innocent and bring an end to any plans for violence or war. We trust in Your promise that the government will be on Your shoulders, and that You will bring everlasting peace (Isaiah 9:6-7).
Father, we also want to gently address the tone of fear and despair that can sometimes creep into our prayers. While it is natural to feel concern for the world and our loved ones, we are called to cast all our anxieties on You because You care for us (1 Peter 5:7). We must remember that our hope is not in politicians, weather patterns, or even the health of our family members—our hope is in You alone. We rebuke the spirit of fear and ask that You would fill us with Your perfect love, which casts out all fear (1 John 4:18). Help us to trust in Your sovereignty and to rest in the knowledge that You are in control.
We pray all these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We declare that Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven, and we trust that You are working all things together for the good of those who love You (Romans 8:28). Strengthen our faith, Lord, and help us to walk in obedience to Your Word. May Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). We love You, Father, and we surrender our fears, our families, and our world into Your hands. Amen.
