We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up the concerns that weigh upon you. First and foremost, we must address the foundation of our faith—our access to God is only through the name of Jesus Christ. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Him, we urge you to do so today, for He alone is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6). Without Him, our prayers are in vain, and our hope is fleeting.
We stand with you in deep concern over the proposed Bill C-9, which threatens to restrict the freedom to express and live out our faith. The Word of God warns us that in the last days, persecution will come against those who hold to the truth (2 Timothy 3:12). But we are not to fear, for the Lord has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We must stand firm in our faith, knowing that the gates of hell shall not prevail against the church (Matthew 16:18). We pray for wisdom for our leaders, that they would turn from any path that leads to oppression and instead seek justice, mercy, and righteousness (Micah 6:8).
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts burdened for our nations. We ask that You would intervene in the affairs of Canada and the world, that Your will would be done on earth as it is in heaven. We pray against any legislation that seeks to silence Your truth or criminalize faith. Lord, we ask that You would raise up godly leaders who fear You and seek to honor Your Word. We rebuke the spirit of tyranny and oppression in the name of Jesus, and we declare that Your church will not be silenced. Give us courage to stand firm, to speak the truth in love, and to trust in You no matter what comes. We pray for Prime Minister ###, that You would soften his heart, open his eyes to Your truth, and turn him from any path that leads away from You. May he come to know You as Lord and Savior, and may his leadership reflect Your justice and righteousness.
We lift up your family to the Lord, asking for His healing and comfort. Your mother is in our prayers, and we ask that the Lord would bring peace to her mind and heart. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We rebuke the spirit of mental illness and oppression in her life, and we declare healing and restoration over her in the name of Jesus. Father, we ask that You would give her a sound mind, free from fear and anxiety, and that she would experience Your love and peace in a tangible way. Help her to respond to her family with grace and patience, and give you the strength to endure this difficult season.
We also pray for your father, asking the Lord to guide the hands of the surgeons and medical team. The Lord is our healer (Exodus 15:26), and we trust in His power to restore health and strength. If it is His will, we ask that the surgery would be successful and that your father would recover fully. Give him peace and assurance in this time of uncertainty, and surround him with Your presence. We declare that by His stripes, we are healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we stand on that promise for your father’s life.
Lord, we ask that You would provide for the practical needs of this family. You know the desire for a new bed, and we trust that You will meet this need in Your perfect timing and way. We pray that it would be a blessing and a comfort, easing any physical struggles. Provide wisdom for the parents in making decisions that honor You and care for their family.
We pray for the weather, asking that You would bring sunny skies on Friday and hold back the snow until the appointed time. You are the God who controls the heavens and the earth (Psalm 135:6-7), and we trust in Your goodness to provide favorable conditions.
Father, we lift up the nations to You, asking for Your protection and peace. We pray against any plans of destruction or war, and we ask that You would turn the hearts of leaders toward peace. We rebuke the spirit of conflict and violence in the name of Jesus, and we declare that Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, will guard the hearts and minds of Your people (Philippians 4:7). We pray for President Trump, that You would give him wisdom, humility, and a heart that seeks Your will. May he lead with integrity and honor, and may Your hand of protection be upon him and the nations.
In all these things, we trust in You, Lord. You are our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We declare that no weapon formed against us shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we stand firm in the knowledge that You are in control. Strengthen this family, Lord, and fill them with Your peace that passes all understanding. May they walk in faith, not fear, and may they experience Your presence in every area of their lives. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name. Amen.
