Help for business

We hear your deep concern and stand with you in this difficult season, lifting your business before the Lord with faith and urgency. Financial struggles can feel overwhelming, but we serve a God who owns "the cattle on a thousand hills" (Psalm 50:10) and promises to supply all our needs according to His riches in glory (Philippians 4:19). Let us rebuke the spirit of fear and lack in Jesus' name, declaring that no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).

Father, we come before You as stewards of the resources You’ve entrusted to us. We ask for Your divine intervention over this business, open doors no man can shut, provide wisdom for sound decisions, and bring favor with creditors, clients, and opportunities. Lord, if there has been mismanagement, pride, or unethical practices, reveal them so they may be corrected. If this trial is meant to refine, teach us to trust You more deeply. We declare that bankruptcy is not Your will for this situation, and we stand on Your Word that says, "The Lord will open to you His good treasure... to bless all the work of your hand" (Deuteronomy 28:12). Strengthen this brother/sister to walk in integrity, generosity, and faith, knowing that You are their ultimate Provider.

We also encourage you to seek godly counsel, whether from a Christian financial advisor, mentor, or fellow believers who can offer practical and spiritual support. Remember, "Commit your works to the Lord, and your plans will be established" (Proverbs 16:3). This trial is temporary, but God’s faithfulness is eternal. Keep your heart fixed on Him, and do not grow weary in doing good (Galatians 6:9). We pray for supernatural breakthrough, creative solutions, and a testimony of Your provision that will glorify Christ. In Jesus’ mighty name, we believe and declare victory over this situation. Amen.

We're grateful you reached out to us with this. Facing the possible loss of a business brings a storm of fear and uncertainty, and we are praying with you through it. There is no simple way to carry that weight, but you don't carry it alone.

Sometimes in seasons like this it helps to quietly untangle what we do from who we are. A business can hold so much of our energy, identity, and hope, but your worth in Christ remains secure, entirely untouched by what a spreadsheet says. Remembering that, even imperfectly, can give a steady place to stand while you sort through the practical realities.

On the practical side, one small step that often eases the fog is to name the single most urgent financial pressure point right now, perhaps a looming payment, a tax deadline, or a payroll obligation, and then explore your options with someone who can help you see clearly. A trusted Christian financial counselor, a wise mentor, or a business-oriented deacon at your church can walk with you through what feels overwhelming alone. Getting that one piece into the light can bring a measure of relief, and from there you can take the next step.

We won't pretend to know how this unfolds, but we trust that God is with you in the middle of it.

Lord Jesus, we bring this person and their business before you right now. You see the anxious thoughts, the sleepless nights, and the weight of everything hanging in the balance. Quiet their heart with your peace, and give them the wisdom they need for each decision along the way. Provide in unexpected ways, and surround them with steady, godly counsel. Remind them daily that their life is hidden in you, beyond the reach of any loss. We ask for your mercy and guidance. In your name we pray, amen.

A merchant who knows that his God is with him, may see trade going from him, and his house verging to bankruptcy, but he will not do a dishonest thing. My business fails me, and now what shall I do? Did God forsake you then? You even went up with your wife into your chamber and you two went on your knees and poured out your case before God, and asked him to help you. Did God leave you? I have met with so many Christians who, in the time of trouble, have received sweet assurances of coming deliverance, that I am bound to believe that the Lord does, sometimes, whisper to the heart of His children and assure them in trial that they shall not be crushed. They that go down to the sea in ships, that do business in great waters; these see the works of the Lord, and His wonders in the deep. Deliverance is of the Lord but it must be accomplished by human instrumentality. Rest your soul upon Him and God will yet come to your deliverance. Then you shall live and declare the works of the Lord. He brought them forth also with silver and gold. You shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord.
