We lift your precious son before the throne of grace, dear one, for the chains of alcohol have no place in the life of a child of God. The Word declares, "Wine is a mocker, and beer is a brawler. Whoever is led astray by them is not wise" (Proverbs 20:1 WEB). This is not a matter of mere habit, but a spiritual stronghold that must be broken in the mighty name of Jesus. We stand with you in authority, commanding every spirit of addiction, deception, and bondage to loose its grip on your son right now. The Lord did not give him a spirit of fear or slavery, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7 WEB). We pray that the Holy Spirit would flood his heart with conviction, that he would turn away from this destructive path, and that his mind would be renewed by the truth of God’s Word.
Father, we ask You to intervene in his life with Your healing touch. Break the cycle of dependency, restore his health, and mend the damage that has been done to his body, mind, and spirit. Let him experience the freedom that comes only through Christ, who said, "If the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed" (John 8:36 WEB). Surround him with godly influences—men of faith who will speak life into him, hold him accountable, and walk with him in his journey to wholeness. May he come to know the depth of Your love, which is stronger than any addiction, and may he find his identity not in drink, but in You.
For the rest of your family, we pray a covering of divine healing and protection. The Lord is our healer (Exodus 15:26 WEB), and we declare that sickness has no authority over those who belong to Him. We rebuke every illness, every symptom, and every spirit of infirmity in Jesus’ name. May your home be a place of peace, where the presence of the Lord dwells richly, and where fear is cast out by perfect love (1 John 4:18 WEB). We ask that You would strengthen each family member, guard their hearts from anxiety, and fill them with Your joy, which is their strength (Nehemiah 8:10 WEB).
Heavenly Father, we also lift up the spiritual atmosphere of your home. If there are any doors that have been opened to the enemy—through unforgiveness, bitterness, or unconfessed sin—we ask that You would reveal them and bring repentance and restoration. "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you" (James 4:7 WEB). Let your family be a testimony of Your faithfulness, a light in the darkness, and a living example of the power of prayer.
We thank You, Lord, that You hear our cries and that You are working even now. We trust in Your promises, knowing that "with God all things are possible" (Matthew 19:26 WEB). May your son’s deliverance be swift and complete, and may your family experience a season of breakthrough, healing, and divine favor. We pray all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name, the only name by which we are saved and set free. Amen.
