Let the Word GO FORTH, keep us from evil people and the evil one, 2 Thes 3:1-2, 3, John 17:15, and let me see together with the rest of the righteous the day the serpent be choked with a great chain by "an angel" Rev 20:2. Thank You in Jesus' Name, Phil 4:6-7, Amen, 2 Cor 1:20.

We hear the cry of your heart and we join with you in seeking the Lord together in Jesus' name for grace to abide, to fast and to pray according to His will.

We are encouraged by your hunger for nearness to God and for the truth of His Word. You have asked for the nearness of God to be your good and indeed Psalm 73:28 says it is good for me to draw near to God. James 4:8 promises if we draw near to God, he will draw near to us, and James 4:7 calls us to be subject therefore to God, but resist the devil, and he will flee from you. We stand with you in that resistance, resisting firmly in the faith as 1 Peter 5:8-9 exhorts, knowing your brothers and sisters throughout the world are going through the same sufferings.

You desire to fast as Isaiah 58:6-12 describes, not as outward show but as a fast that loosens the bonds of wickedness, undoes the bands of the yoke, lets the oppressed go free, and then your light will break out as the morning and the Lord will guide you continually. We pray the Lord gives you mercy and strength for such a fast, led by the Spirit and not by the flesh, with wisdom and revelation as Ephesians 1:17 prays that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ may give you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him.

We agree with you that the church which Jesus builds will prevail, for Matthew 16:18 declares the gates of Hades will not prevail against it. We do not wage war with carnal weapons but with the mighty weapons of God to tear down strongholds as 2 Corinthians 10:4-5 teaches, taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ, putting on the whole armor of God that we may stand against the wiles of the devil as Ephesians 6:11 says. We pray the Holy Spirit will indeed remind you and your matrimonial spouse of all that Jesus said, for John 14:26 promises the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, will teach you all things and will remind you of all that Jesus said to you.

We lift up your loneliness before the Father who is intimately acquainted with all your ways as Psalm 139:3 says. He sees you in this season of being very much alone and He invites you to abide in Him, for John 15:7 says if you remain in me, and my words remain in you, you will ask whatever you desire, and it will be done for you. We pray for grace to praise and worship even in the valley, for Psalm 149:1-5 calls us to sing a new song and rejoice, and for ears to hear His voice, for John 10:27 says my sheep hear my voice, I know them, and they follow me, and for grace to obey His voice as Genesis 22:18 shows blessing comes through obedience.

We join you in praying without losing heart as Luke 18:1 urges, that neither your faith nor the faith of your dear spouse will fail, remembering Luke 22:31-32 where Jesus prayed for Simon that his faith would not fail and when he had turned again he would strengthen his brothers. We ask the Father to strengthen you with power through His Spirit in the inner person that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith and that you may know the breadth and length and height and depth and know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge as Ephesians 3:16-20 prays, and for direction as Romans 8:14 says as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are children of God, and for confirmation according to Matthew 18:16 and 2 Corinthians 13:1.

We thank God with you for the inexhaustible fountain of grace in Christ Jesus, for Zechariah 13:1 speaks of a fountain opened for sin and uncleanness, and John 1:16 says of his fullness we all received grace upon grace, and Ephesians 1:7 says in him we have redemption through his blood. It is only through that name of Jesus that we have access to the Father, for John 14:6 says no one comes to the Father except through me, and Acts 4:12 says there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved.

So together we pray, Father, thank You for Your nearness and for Your Word that does not return void. We ask You to pour out grace upon our brother and his beloved matrimonial spouse and their youngster and all who agree, to keep them from temptation and deliver them from the evil one as Matthew 6:13 and Luke 11:4 and John 17:15 and 2 Thessalonians 3:3 pray. Keep them from lying lips and a deceitful tongue as Zephaniah 3:13 and Proverbs 30:8 ask, and guard them from evil people while Your Word runs and is glorified as 2 Thessalonians 3:1-2 says. Let Your love dwell richly within them, grant wisdom as Colossians 1:9 asks, and let them walk in love and strengthen others after You have restored them. We resist the serpent's lies with them in Jesus' name and we look forward with the righteous to the day when that ancient serpent is bound with a great chain as Revelation 20:2 declares. Let Your peace which surpasses all understanding guard their hearts and thoughts in Christ Jesus as Philippians 4:6-7 promises. We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.

We hear the ache in your request, the longing for God's nearness when you feel very much alone, and the desire to keep standing firm for your spouse and youngster and for others who are agreeing with you in prayer.

Wanting to fast and pray and to walk closely with the Lord is a good desire, and it helps to think of it as training over time rather than trying to do everything at once. A steady, sustainable rhythm, even in small ways, often bears more fruit over a lifetime than pushing too hard and growing discouraged. If you are considering a fast, it may help to talk with your pastor about what would be wise and sustainable for you in this season.

Loneliness can make the battle feel heavier, and worship is one way God gently lifts that isolation. Being with God's people, even when you feel like withdrawing, reminds us we are not facing things alone but as part of a larger family. If you can, make a point to gather for worship this week and let someone you trust know how you are doing so they can stand with you.

We are praying for you and thanking God for His grace that keeps drawing us near.

Father, we bring our brother before You in Jesus' name. Draw near to him in this lonely time and let him know Your presence is his good. Give him wisdom and quiet strength for each day, grace to keep praying and walking in love, and protection for his spouse and child from temptation and deception. Remind them both of Your truth and keep them in Your care. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your longing for the nearness of God to be your good, as the Psalmist says in Psalm 73:28, is itself a token that God is already at work in you, for no man seeks after God unless God has first sought him. You say you are very much alone, and I do not wonder that your heart cries out for heavenly company. Our Lord Himself knew what it was to be alone, and in that dread hour when He cried, My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me, He entered into a loneliness deeper than any of ours that He might make a way for us to be near to God forever.

Remember, this nearness is not by our fasting nor by our praying, though fasting and prayer are blessed means of grace when rightly used as Isaiah 58 teaches, but by blood. We never get to God in prayer unless it is through pleading the precious blood. Jesus is Himself God, and as Man without spot or blemish, having finished the work given Him to do and having gone up to Heaven to take the promised crown, He is near to God in Person, in Character, and in acceptance, and those who are one with Him must be near also. This is your hope. In Him you live and move and have your being, as the Apostle said at Athens, and the living God is not far from any one of us. If you seek Him, you shall surely find Him, for He has set an open way to the mercy seat through Christ.

You ask for grace to stand against the schemes of the devil and to resist his lies. Take heed to the Word which says, Submit yourselves therefore to God, resist the devil and he will flee from you, and resist him firmly in the faith. We are not to enter the thicket in search of the lion, nor to tempt the devil to tempt us by walking in the path of disobedience. The devil can quote Scripture when it suits his purpose, as he did with our Lord in the wilderness, but our safety is to walk in the light of God and to have no fellowship with unfruitful works of darkness. Wage your war not with carnal weapons, but with the mighty armor and weapons of God, which are able to tear down strongholds and to bring every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ. The peace the devil gives is a false peace, founded upon forgetfulness of God and judgment, but the peace of God is solid and abiding, founded on eternal truth and guaranteed by the God of holiness.

You desire wisdom and revelation, and strength to know the dimensions of Christ's love. Without faith it is impossible to please God, for he that comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him. Come then to the Law and to the Testimony, to God and to His Spirit, and prove His promises in your own experience. This golden book, the Word of God, is full of promises suitable to every case, faithful and true, yea and Amen in Christ Jesus. When you cannot find your way into the heart of any truth, ask the Spirit of God to guide you into it, for He will bring all things to your remembrance whatsoever Christ has said, and He will teach you all that you need to know. If you lament your loneliness, cure it by seeking heavenly company in the Word, made living to you by the Spirit, and you shall find that God Himself has fellowship with you.

Be encouraged that Jesus prayed for you as He prayed for Peter, that your faith fail not, and that afterwards you may strengthen others. The gates of hell shall not prevail against the Church which Christ builds, and though Satan desires to sift you, Christ intercedes for you. Let this be your comfort, that your God has not forsaken you. To think so is to believe an accusation against God which none but the devil could have the impudence to suggest. Cast it from you. Your God is too good to forsake those for whom His Son has shed His blood.

I will pray with you and for you, for your matrimonial spouse and your youngster, and for all who agree with you in seeking the Lord, that you may be delivered from temptation and from the evil one, kept from evil people and from the evil one, as Paul prayed in 2 Thessalonians, and that the Word of the Lord may run and be glorified. May the Lord keep you from lies and from the serpent's deception, and cause you to walk in love and in truth. May He strengthen you with might by His Spirit in the inner man, that Christ may dwell in your heart by faith, and that you may comprehend with all saints what is the breadth and length and depth and height, and know the love of Christ which passes knowledge.

Go to God just as you are, in the Mediator's name. The place where God meets sinners is at the Cross of Christ, and it is the only place where it is safe for a sinner to attempt to meet his God. There acquaint yourself with Him and be at peace, and good shall come unto you. May the Lord hear your cry, establish your steps, and give you to hear His voice and to obey it, to the praise of His inexhaustible fountain of grace in Christ Jesus, in whose name we ask all according to His will. Amen.

We have heard your prayer and we join with you in asking the Father for mercy and grace from the inexhaustible fountain that is opened in Christ Jesus.

You have asked rightly for strength to fast and to pray according to Isaiah 58. Fasting and prayer go together and give the soul wings. The one who prays as he ought and fasts has not many wants, is not covetous, and is more disposed to give. He is light and winged and prays with wakefulness. He quenches wicked lusts and humbles his soul when it is lifted up. Such a person is vehement as fire and rises above the earth, and nothing is mightier than a person who prays sincerely. For this reason the evil spirits especially hate and fear the one who prays with fasting, for fasting plucks down the madness of the devil. Even the apostles were almost always fasting. If your body is too weak to fast continually, you can still avoid luxurious living, and even this is not far from fasting and is no little thing. For luxury and drunkenness are a fountain and parent of many evils, as we saw with Israel and with Sodom, whose iniquity was pride and fullness of bread.

You have asked that the gates of hell will not prevail against the Church which Christ builds, and that you may stand against the schemes of the devil. We agree with you. Prayer is a great weapon. The affairs of every day are a fight and a storm, and we need arms. If we have first made God favorable by prayer and supplication early in the morning and by night, we go forth to our business with security and have no enemy to fear, or if an enemy comes we shall laugh him to scorn because God is favorable. Wage war not with carnal weapons but with the mighty armor and weapons of God to tear down strongholds, as it is written. Submit to God, resist the devil and he will flee, and resist him firmly in the faith. The Holy Spirit will remind you of the truth of Jesus, for Christ has promised to bring His words to remembrance.

You have asked for nearness to God, for wisdom and revelation, for intimacy and for direction, and to hear His voice and obey it. God is indeed intimately acquainted with all your ways, and it is good that you have taken Psalm 73 as your prayer, that the nearness of God may be your good. We ask with you for the spirit of wisdom and revelation, for strength in the inner person, that the love of Christ may dwell within and that you may know its breadth and length and height and depth, for guidance as a sheep hears the shepherd, and for confirmation according to the mouth of two or three witnesses. Do not lose heart but continue in prayer, as the Lord taught.

We also pray for your household, for your matrimonial spouse and your child and all who agree with you, that God will deliver you all from temptation and sin and deception and lies, and keep you from evil people and from the evil one. God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it. No temptation has taken you but such as is common to man, and with His help you can bear it. We pray that your faith and her faith will not fail, and that after you have been strengthened you may strengthen others.

We hold before you the historic and biblical ethic which God has established from the beginning, that salvation is through Jesus Christ alone, and that marriage is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and that the gift of sex and living together belongs within that covenant alone. Marriage is not an impure state, but one of much occupation and care, and when lived according to God's design it becomes a school of virtue. We do not ask God to bless what is contrary to His word, but we do ask Him to bless, purify and strengthen what is according to His will, and to lead all who have wandered back to His truth in repentance and faith.

So let us pray together. Father, thank You for the fountain opened for sin and uncleanness, and for grace upon grace in Christ. Grant to Your servant grace to fast and pray, to walk in love, to wage war with Your armor, to tear down strongholds and to stand firm. Draw near as he draws near to You. Give wisdom, revelation, strength and direction. Keep him and his spouse and his child from temptation and from the evil one, let Your Word go forth, and remind them of the truth of Jesus by Your Holy Spirit. Guard their faith, that it may not fail, and make them a help to others. Let them see the day when the serpent is bound, and keep them in perfect peace until then. We ask this in the name of Jesus, Amen.
