We join you in this cry and we stand with you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, thanking the Father for the inexhaustible fountain of grace in Christ Jesus. As it is written, In him we have obtained an inheritance John 1:16 says of his fullness we all received, and grace upon grace, and Zechariah 13:1 speaks of a fountain opened for sin and for uncleanness. We ask for mercy and grace to help in time of need Hebrews 4:16 and we agree with you for strength to fast and pray as Isaiah 58:6-12 describes, not as an outward show but to loose the bonds of wickedness, to undo the bands of the yoke, to let the oppressed go free, that our light would break forth as the morning and the Lord would guide us continually.

We agree that Jesus is building His church and the gates of Hades will not prevail against it Matthew 16:18. We take our stand with you against the schemes of the devil Ephesians 6:11, knowing that our wrestling is not against flesh and blood but against principalities and powers Ephesians 6:12. We submit ourselves to God and resist the devil and he will flee from us James 4:7, and we resist him steadfast in the faith knowing the same sufferings are accomplished in our brothers and sisters in the world 1 Peter 5:8-9. We ask that the Holy Spirit who is our Helper will teach us all things and bring to our remembrance all that Jesus said John 14:26, and guide us into all truth John 16:13.

We wage war not with carnal weapons but with the mighty weapons of God to tear down strongholds, casting down imaginations and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God, and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ 2 Corinthians 10:4-5. We put on the full armor of God Ephesians 6:11 that we may stand.

We hear your loneliness and we pray that you will know in a fresh way that it is good for you to draw near to God Psalm 73:28. He intimately knows all your ways and is acquainted with all your paths Psalm 139:3. James 4:8 promises if we draw near to God, he will draw near to us. We pray for the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him Ephesians 1:17, that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding Colossians 1:9, that you may abide in Christ and His words abide in you John 15:7, and that Christ may dwell in your heart through faith, strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner person Ephesians 3:16-17, that you may know the breadth and length and height and depth and know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge Ephesians 3:18-19.

We pray for grace to hear His voice, for Jesus said My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me John 10:27, and to be led by the Spirit of God as sons of God Romans 8:14, and to obey His voice as Abraham did Genesis 22:18. We ask for grace to praise and worship Him Psalm 149:1-5 and for confirmation by the mouth of two or three witnesses Matthew 18:16 and 2 Corinthians 13:1 that you may have clear direction.

We do not lose heart but continue in prayer as Jesus taught that we ought always to pray and not to faint Luke 18:1. We pray with you that your faith and the faith of your matrimonial spouse will not fail, and that when you have turned again you will strengthen your brothers Luke 22:32. We honor your marriage covenant before God, for marriage is honorable and holy, and we lift up your spouse and your youngster before the throne. We pray the Lord will deliver you all from temptation and the evil one Matthew 6:13 and Luke 11:4, keep you from evil people and the evil one 2 Thessalonians 3:2-3, and guard you so that the Lord may keep you from evil John 17:15. We ask that lying lips be put away and falsehood removed far from you Proverbs 30:8 and that you may be kept as a remnant that does no iniquity nor speaks lies Zephaniah 3:13.

We pray that the word of the Lord may run and be glorified 2 Thessalonians 3:1, and we look forward with you to the day when the serpent, the old dragon, is bound with a great chain by an angel Revelation 20:2. We thank God that in Christ all the promises are Yes and Amen to the glory of God through us 2 Corinthians 1:20.

Father, we thank You for this brother who seeks Your nearness. Fill him with Your peace which surpasses all understanding which will guard his heart and thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7. Let him walk in love Ephesians 5:2, abide in You, and see Your deliverance. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved Acts 4:12, and it is through Him we have access to Your throne. We hear the weight in what you shared, especially that feeling of being very alone right now and your deep desire for God's nearness to be your good. We also hear your love for your spouse and child and your longing to walk faithfully, to hear the Lord's voice and follow it, and to keep standing firm in prayer.

Loneliness can make every other battle feel heavier, and worship and ordinary fellowship with other believers is one of the ways God gently lifts that isolation. It is not just you and God facing the world alone, but God with His people. Even when you do not feel like it, simply keeping a steady place among God's people, hearing His word together and praying with one or two trusted believers, can help quiet that sense of being cut off.

We also hear your desire to fast and pray. It helps to think of those disciplines as training over time rather than trying to do everything at once. Small, consistent steps, sustained by grace, often bear more lasting fruit than pushing hard for a moment and then feeling spent.

We are praying with you and for your family, that you would know God's presence day by day and have wisdom for each next step.

Father, we lift our brother to You in Jesus' name. Draw near to him in this lonely season and let him know he is seen and held by You. Strengthen him for prayer, give him wisdom and clear direction, and keep him, his wife and child from temptation and evil. Remind them of Your truth and fill their home with Your peace. Amen.

Your prayer has come before the church and we have heard the burden of your heart, and we join our petitions with yours at the throne of grace. You have asked rightly, for you have asked for the nearness of God to be your good, and this is the very thing which the blood of Christ has purchased for us.

You feel alone, and you say with the Psalmist that God is intimately acquainted with all your ways. Be comforted then by this truth, that He is not far from each one of us, for in Him we live and move and have our being. Though man by his fall thought God to be far off, revelation teaches us that He draws near in Christ Jesus. By virtue of His blood we are brought nigh, not as those who worshipped afar off at the foot of Sinai, but as those who are admitted into communion through the ransom which God Himself has found. That voice you shall always hear if you are a child of God, when you get into peril and trouble, God has given commandment to save you and you shall be saved. He says, Deliver him from going down to the pit, I have found a ransom.

You ask for grace to fast and pray according to Isaiah 58, to resist the serpent and his lies, and to stand against the schemes of the devil. This is good, for the fast which God has chosen looses the bands of wickedness, and our warfare is not with carnal weapons but with the mighty armor and weapons of God to tear down strongholds. Remember that deliverance from the power of sin is as much the work of God as deliverance from the guilt of sin. Where we look for justification, there must we also look for sanctification. The grace of God has not come into us merely to keep us away from some few notable vices, but to deliver us altogether from the power of darkness. Therefore put on the whole armor of God, resist the devil and he will flee from you, resist him firmly in the faith, and remember the promise that the gates of hell shall not prevail against the church which Christ builds.

You ask for wisdom and revelation, for intimacy and direction, to hear His voice and obey it, and for the Holy Spirit to bring to remembrance the truth of Christ. Ask Him who has the clue to every truth, for the Spirit of God will guide you into it. In the very first hour of conversion we perceive our nearness to God, and that nearness grows as we walk with Him in the light. If you cannot find your way into the heart of any truth of God, ask the Spirit to guide you, and He will remind you of all that Jesus has said.

We will pray with you and not lose heart, as our Lord taught us that men ought always to pray and not to faint. We pray that your faith fail not, and that being strengthened you may strengthen others. We pray that you may be strengthened with power to know the breadth and length and depth and height of the love of Christ which passes knowledge, that it may dwell in your heart by faith.

For your matrimonial spouse and your youngster, we entreat the Lord for deliverance from temptation, sin, deception and lies, that the Word may go forth and that you may be kept from evil people and from the evil one. The justified child of God is not afraid to meet the demands of righteousness, for he walks in covenant mercies, and we thank God that we have wells to go to and are delivered from the noise of archers in the places of drawing water. May He keep you all from the pit, and make you to magnify Him for His delivering grace, and to make a fresh dedication of yourselves to Him who alone can work this freedom. For without the shedding of blood there is no remission, and there is no true liberty but that of which Christ makes you free, and His liberty is an eternal one, nor shall the infernal lion ever be able to rend one sheep or lamb that the Great Shepherd deigns to keep.

You have known loneliness, and in this you have fellowship with the Master who Himself knew what it was to be forsaken, yet could say, I am not alone, because the Father is with me. Sometimes the child of God endures loneliness arising from the absence of godly society, and sometimes he must walk in narrow paths where pilgrims must march in single file. Persevere in lone obedience, for it may be a test of your faith. If we can trust, God will never allow us to be confounded.

Therefore we commend you to Him who hears prayer, that He would grant you nearness, revelation, wisdom and strength, that the peace of God which passes all understanding would keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus, until the day when the serpent shall be bound with a great chain. We will continue to wage war with you in prayer, believing that He who has begun a good work will perform it, and that He who has delivered will yet deliver.
