We hear your cry for nearness, wisdom, and strength in this season of loneliness, and we stand with you in fervent prayer, lifting every word to the throne of grace in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. You are not alone, for the Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We rejoice that you have called upon the name of Jesus, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). It is only through Him that we have access to the Father, and it is in His name that we boldly come before God’s throne to find mercy and grace in our time of need (Hebrews 4:16).

We join you in fasting and prayer, seeking the Lord with hearts aligned to Isaiah 58:6-12, where He declares, "Isn’t this the fast that I have chosen: to release the bonds of wickedness, to undo the straps of the yoke, to let the oppressed go free, and that you break every yoke? Isn’t it to distribute your bread to the hungry, and that you bring the poor who are cast out to your house? When you see the naked, that you cover him; and that you not hide yourself from your own flesh? Then your light shall break out as the morning, and your healing shall spring forth speedily; and your righteousness shall go before you. Yahweh’s glory shall be your rear guard. Then you shall call, and Yahweh will answer. You shall cry, and he will say, ‘Here I am.’" Let this fast be one of true repentance, humility, and obedience, where we loosen the chains of injustice and share our bread with the hungry. May the Lord answer your cry with His presence, and may His glory guard your steps as you walk in His ways.

We take authority over the gates of hell, declaring with you that they shall not prevail against the church Christ is building (Matthew 16:18). The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We resist the devil and his schemes, standing firm in the faith as James 4:7 commands: "Be subject therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." We put on the full armor of God, truth, righteousness, the gospel of peace, faith, salvation, and the Word of God, so that we may stand against the wiles of the evil one (Ephesians 6:11-18). We wage war not with carnal weapons but with the mighty weapons of God, tearing down strongholds and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of Christ (2 Corinthians 10:4-5). Let the Holy Spirit remind you, and us all, of the truth of God’s Word, for He will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that Jesus has said (John 14:26).

We pray for your marriage, that it would be a reflection of Christ’s love for His church, a love that is sacrificial, pure, and unbreakable (Ephesians 5:25-33). May you and your spouse walk in unity, honoring one another and submitting to God’s design for your union. We rebuke every temptation, deception, and lie that seeks to divide or defile your marriage, and we declare that the Word of God will go forth in power to protect and sanctify your home (2 Thessalonians 3:3). Guard your hearts and minds from the evil one, and let the peace of Christ rule in your marriage (Colossians 3:15). We pray for your child, that they would be kept from the snares of the enemy and grow in the knowledge and fear of the Lord (Proverbs 22:6). May your home be a dwelling place for the Holy Spirit, filled with love, joy, and peace (Galatians 5:22-23).

We ask the Lord to strengthen you with power through His Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your heart through faith (Ephesians 3:16-17). May you grasp the height, depth, width, and length of Christ’s love, which surpasses all knowledge, and be filled with all the fullness of God (Ephesians 3:18-19). Let the love of Christ compel you to walk in obedience, and may His love be the foundation of all you do. We pray for wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened to know the hope of His calling and the riches of His glorious inheritance in the saints (Ephesians 1:17-18). May you hear His voice clearly and follow Him with unwavering faith, for His sheep know His voice, and He leads them out (John 10:27).

We lift up the one you mentioned, praying that her faith will not fail but will be refined like gold in the fire (1 Peter 1:7). May the Holy Spirit remind her of the truth of Jesus’ words, and may she stand firm in the faith, resisting the devil alongside you (1 Peter 5:9). We pray that after this season of testing, you both will be able to strengthen others, just as Jesus prayed for Peter (Luke 22:32). Let your love for one another be a testimony to the world, and may your prayers never cease, for the Lord is near to all who call on Him in truth (Psalm 145:18).

Father, we thank You for Your inexhaustible fountain of grace in Christ Jesus (Zechariah 13:1). We ask that You draw near to [this brother/sister] as they seek You with their whole heart. Let Your nearness be their good, and may they find their delight in You alone (Psalm 73:28). Fill them with Your Spirit, that they may walk in love, joy, and peace, even in this season of loneliness. Strengthen them with power to know the dimensions of Christ’s love, and let that love overflow to their spouse, their child, and all those around them. Deliver them from every temptation and deception, and let Your Word go forth in their lives with power and authority. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, they shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). May they see the day when the serpent is bound with a great chain, and may they rejoice in the victory of Christ over sin and death (Revelation 20:2).

We pray all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name, the name by which every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord (Philippians 2:9-11). We hear how much you are carrying right now, feeling very alone and at the same time longing so deeply for the nearness of God to be your strength and your good. Loneliness can make fasting and spiritual battle feel even heavier when it is done in isolation. Worship and simply being with other believers often helps lift that weight, not because it fixes everything at once, but because we are reminded we are part of God's people and not facing things by ourselves.

One simple next step that may help in this season is to not carry the fasting and prayer alone. Consider asking one trusted pastor or mature believer in your local church to know what you are praying through and to pray alongside you regularly, even briefly. A shared rhythm, and gathering for worship when you are able, can steady you when you feel alone and help you hear God's leading more clearly.

It is good to hear the cry of your heart that the nearness of God should be your good, as it is written, Ps 73:28. This is no small mercy to desire, for when man fell he thought God to be far off, but Revelation teaches us that He is not far from each one of us, for in Him we live and move and have our being, Acts 17:27. And more, by the blood of Christ you who were once far off are brought near, Eph 2:13. Jesus Himself is near to God in character, in acceptance, and in person, and by virtue of His blood you are brought as near as the high priest before the veil, not to worship afar off, but to dwell in devout communion.

You ask for grace to fast and pray according to Isa 58:6-12, and to stand against the schemes of the devil. This is right and according to the Word. We are to put on the mighty armor of God, Eph 6:11, and to wage war not with carnal weapons but with those which are mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds, 2 Cor 10:4-5. You do well to ask to resist the serpent's lies, for as it is written, resist the devil and he will flee from you, James 4:7, resist him firmly in the faith, 1 Pet 5:8. The gates of hell shall not prevail against the church which Christ Himself builds, Matt 16:18, and that promise is your comfort as you continue instant in prayer and do not lose heart, Luke 18:1.

In your loneliness, take comfort that the Lord is intimately acquainted with all your ways, Ps 139:3. Even our Lord knew what it was to be alone, and He cried, My God, my God, why have You forsaken Me, that you might never be forsaken. Though you may for a season lack godly society and walk alone, the words of God's Book made living to you shall be as angels, and God Himself shall have fellowship with you. Seek heavenly company in the Word, for the Holy Spirit will guide you into all truth and bring to your remembrance what Christ has spoken, John 14:26. All that you need to know He will teach you.

You pray for deliverance for yourself, your matrimonial spouse and your youngster, that you may be kept from temptation, sin and deception, Matt 6:13, Luke 11:4. Know that deliverance from the power of darkness and from the guilt of sin is altogether the work of God, Col 1:13. It is God who says, Deliver him from going down to the pit, I have found a ransom, Job 33:24. The King's own Son has borne the penalty of all your iniquities, and that ransom is Christ Jesus our Lord. Through Him there is full deliverance from the penal sentence and from the power of sin, not merely to keep you from some notable vices, but to deliver you altogether from the power of darkness. And when He chastens sorely, it is not that He has erased your name from His heart or His hands, but that He would bring back your soul from the pit to be enlightened with the light of the living.

Therefore let us pray together. We ask the Father for that inexhaustible fountain of grace in Christ Jesus, Zech 13:1, John 1:16, that He would grant you according to the riches of His glory to be strengthened with might by His Spirit in the inner man, that Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith, and that you may know the breadth and length and depth and height of the love of Christ, Eph 3:16-20. We ask for wisdom and revelation, Eph 1:17, for grace to hear His voice and follow Him, John 10:27, Rom 8:14, for the Word to go forth and for deliverance from evil men and from the evil one, 2 Thess 3:1-3, John 17:15. We pray that your faith fail not, and that being restored you may strengthen others, Luke 22:31-32, and that you may walk in love with steadfastness until that day when the serpent shall be bound with a great chain, Rev 20:2.

May the Lord revive His work in you, keep you in the hour of temptation, and cause you to magnify Him who has shown you light. We will not cease to pray for you, that you may be kept, upheld, and made to rejoice in God your Savior, in Jesus name, Amen.

Your request has been heard and we join you in prayer before the Father who gives grace without measure through Jesus Christ, in whom alone is salvation and the fountain that is never exhausted.

We thank God with you for His grace and we ask with you for mercy and strength to fast and pray as Isaiah 58 teaches, not as outward show but to loose bonds of wickedness, to walk in righteousness, and to let His light rise upon you. We ask that you may abide in Christ and that His word may abide in you, that you may know His nearness, for the nearness of God is indeed our good as Psalm 73 says, and He is intimately acquainted with all your ways.

The Lord looks to the one who is humble and contrite in spirit and who trembles at His word. Come to Him with that lowliness of mind which keeps the soul sober and safe, broken before Him rather than lifted up, trusting not in your own strength but in His mercy. Marriage is holy in the sight of God, a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and life together within it is His good design. We pray that He will guard and strengthen your marriage and your child, and keep you all from temptation, sin, deception and every lie, and deliver you from the evil one.

Do not lose heart in prayer. Even when an answer seems delayed, God is not withholding good from you. As a loving father permits a trial so that his children will run to his arms and remain there, so God at times permits testing to draw us to Himself, to teach us that we are stronger in Him than we thought, to keep us humble, and to show the treasure He has entrusted to us. He is faithful and will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape so that you can endure it. Therefore put on the full armor of God, stand against the schemes of the devil, and resist him firmly in faith. The church which Jesus builds will stand, and the gates of hell will not prevail against it.

We pray for you now that the Father of glory would give you wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, that you would hear the voice of the Shepherd and obey it, that you would be strengthened with power through His Spirit in your inner being so that Christ may dwell in your heart through faith and you may know the breadth and length and height and depth of His love. We ask that the Holy Spirit will bring to your remembrance the truth of Jesus and keep you from evil people and from the evil one, that His word would go forth freely, and that you would walk in love with faith that does not fail, so that after you have been strengthened you may strengthen others.

May the Lord grant you grace to persevere in prayer, to worship with joy, to wage war not with fleshly weapons but with the mighty weapons of God to tear down strongholds, and to see His deliverance. We ask all this in the name of Jesus, trusting His peace to guard your heart and mind. Amen.

Your prayer reflects a sincere desire to draw near to God and to walk faithfully with Him, and that desire itself is something He honors. Scripture says the nearness of God is our good, and that He is intimately acquainted with all our ways, so even in this season of feeling very alone, you are fully seen and known by Him.

It is important to remember that the Lord knew your frame and your need long before this trial came. When He allows a difficult season, it is not to condemn you or to show that you have disappointed Him, but to reveal to you what is in your own heart so you can bring it honestly to Him. Do not live under condemnation. Bring what you are learning about yourself to Him in open confession, because all sin is ultimately against God and only God can forgive sin through the sacrifice of Jesus. That forgiveness and help come purely by His grace, never because we have earned it.

You mentioned fasting according to Isaiah 58. Fasting is a good and biblical way to humble ourselves and seek the Lord, but it does not obligate God to act for us as if it were a work that earns His favor. Whatever God does for you, for your spouse and for your child, He will do because He is gracious. The fountain of grace in Christ remains inexhaustible, and we receive from His fullness. So fast and pray not to bargain with God, but to wait upon Him with an open heart, trusting His mercy.

The testing of faith is common to all believers and God uses it to develop patience and steadiness, especially the patience to wait on Him. That waiting is often where we struggle most, yet it is where we grow. There is a difference between the testing God allows and solicitation to evil. God never entices anyone to sin, for He cannot be tempted by evil and He does not tempt anyone in that way. The enemy, however, does come as a tempter and a deceiver, seeking to draw us away from the path of the cross and from simple obedience. Jesus Himself was tempted in this way, with the suggestion to avoid the way of suffering that the Father had appointed for our redemption. We overcome that kind of assault not with our own strength, but by surrendering our will to God, for in surrender we find true victory.

You have asked for strength to resist the devil and to stand firm in faith, and Scripture calls us to do just that. We are to resist him firmly, clothed in the armor God provides, and to tear down strongholds not with human weapons but with the mighty weapons God gives through His truth and His Spirit. The promise that the gates of hell will not prevail against the church Jesus builds is sure, and you are part of that work as you stand on His word. The Holy Spirit is given to remind us of what Jesus has said and to guide us into truth, so continue to stay in the Word, asking for wisdom and revelation to know Him better.

It is also good that you long to hear His voice and obey it. Jesus said His sheep hear His voice, and as God is at the center of your life you live in His kingdom. That kingdom begins with the good news that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, who was with God and who is God, came to take our iniquity upon Himself and to deliver us from the bondage of sin as the Lamb of God. Merely believing that God exists is not enough, and even recognizing that Jesus is the Son of God is not enough if the heart has not surrendered to Him. Salvation comes through repentance and believing the good news, coming directly to God through the one mediator between God and man, the man Christ Jesus. You do not need another intercessor. The way is open for you to come directly to Him.

Do not put God in a box or become rigid about how He must work. He often leaves room to work in ways we do not expect, and He sometimes allows desperate circumstances to crowd us to Christ so that we will lean on Him more fully. He loves you more than you can know and He knows you better than you know yourself. The very concern you feel for your spiritual life and for your family is evidence that His Spirit is still striving with you and drawing you.

So continue to walk in love, to pray without losing heart, and to trust Him for your spouse and your child. Ask Him to keep you all from temptation, from deception and from evil, to establish you in His love so that you may know its breadth and depth, and to give you clear direction and confirmation through His Word. As you and others pray together, trust that He will strengthen you and then use you to strengthen others.

May the Lord grant you His nearness, fill you with wisdom and with the knowledge of His will, cause His love to dwell richly in you, and keep you and your household in His truth and peace through Jesus Christ. Amen.
