Beloved of All
Your honest cry has been heard and taken before the Lord, and I will continue to remember you frequently in prayer as you asked.
I understand you are scared about your eyesight, and God understands that fear. He is called the God of all comfort, the One who comforts those who are cast down, discouraged and afraid. He does not stand far off in your darkest hour. He stands by to comfort, to strengthen and to encourage you, and to lift you when you feel low.
The Bible says, Fear thou not, for I am with thee. Be not dismayed, for I am thy God. I will strengthen thee, yea I will help thee, yea I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. Remembering that He is with you is the cure for fear. When we forget the Lord, fear grows. When we remember Him, faith grows. Fear and faith cannot rule the heart at the same time, so we bring our fear to Him and ask Him to fill us with confidence in His presence and care.
The fear God wants from us is not a terror that He will hurt us. It is a reverent awe, a love that does not want to hurt Him because we know how much He loves us. He invites you to come to Him not as one who is afraid of punishment, but as a dear child who is loved and kept.
There is real consolation in Christ and real comfort in His love. His Word was given to give us patience and comfort so that we might have hope, because He has never failed to keep His promises. As David said, Yea though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil for thou art with me.
I have prayed for the Lord to bless you, to touch your eyes and to give you His peace in place of fear. I have asked Him to let you feel His nearness, to calm your heart, to guide those who care for you, and to uphold you day by day. You are not forgotten. He sees you, He loves you, and He is able to comfort you with the same comfort He has given to so many in their affliction.
May the Lord grant you His peace that passes understanding, strengthen your faith, and remind you often that He is with you and will not cast you away.
