Hebdomadally
14 For this reason I kneel before the Father, 15 from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name. 16 I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, 17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, 18 may have power, together with all the Lord's people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, 19 and to know this love that surpasses knowledge - that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. 20 Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, (Eph. 3:14-20)
Hebdomadally as defined in the dictionary means “weekly”. For most “Church Attendance” is a weekly activity. However, statistics report that 80-90 percent of all people who are baptized do not worship weekly!
Is it because we truly feel we do not need God or man to stay happy and healthy? No, it’s because people think and have been known to say… I'm very happy with the way I live, I don't have to go to Church to be a good Christian or I don't want to be a hypocrite! And often times we become slaves of habitual patterns, comfortable easy conditions, scheduled obligations, necessary duties or impossible circumstances that keep us away from Church.
To better understand the true significance of attending Church we must begin with the basic question: "Is attending Church important?" The answer is an emphatic YES! Why because, God set up the Church for worship and to establish a community for His family. So, when we miss out on that, we miss out on a very important part of God's plan.
Think about this… Statistically, people who attend religious services weekly are happier (43% very happy) than those who attend monthly or less (31%); or seldom or never (26%). You do not control your life and you cannot guarantee that you will even be alive the next week. Human life is a gift from God and He controls the measure of it (Psalms 139:16). Therefore, who we are, when and where we are born, or how long we live, etc., are all gifts from God. So, it’s not unreasonable for God to ask us to be a “Hebdomadal” person.
