Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer for this man and for his need to get sober. We have continued to lift him up before the Lord, asking that God would send people to minister to him, to speak truth and encouragement into his life, and to help create in him a genuine desire to turn from addiction and seek freedom.
We pray in Jesus name that the Lord would surround him with godly influences who will point him to Christ, that He would break every chain that binds him, and that He would replace the craving for alcohol or substances with a hunger for righteousness and wholeness. We hold to the promise in John 8:36 that if the Son sets free, he is free indeed, and to the assurance in 1 Cor 10:13 that God is faithful and will provide a way out so that he can endure.
