We stand with you in this spiritual battle, for we know that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12). The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but we serve a God who is greater, mightier, and victorious over every scheme of darkness. You have done well to call upon the name of Jesus, for it is the name above every name, and at His name, every knee must bow—including the forces of evil (Philippians 2:10). There is power in that name, and the demons tremble before it (James 2:19).
Yet we must also remind you, beloved, to guard your words and your heart, for the tongue has the power of life and death (Proverbs 18:21). While we understand the frustration and anger that spiritual attacks can bring, we are called to speak with authority and faith, not with words that reflect the world’s contempt. Jesus Himself rebuked demons with firmness and divine authority, not with insults. Let us instead declare the truth of God’s Word over this situation: “Submit therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you” (James 4:7). The enemy has no power where the blood of Jesus is applied and where the Word of God is spoken in faith.
We also encourage you to put on the full armor of God so that you may stand firm against these attacks. Stand therefore, having the utility belt of truth buckled around your waist, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having fitted your feet with the preparation of the Good News of peace. Above all, take up the shield of faith, with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God, praying at all times in the Spirit (Ephesians 6:14-18).
Let us pray together over this:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty and victorious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You that no weapon formed against Your child shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). Lord, we bind every demonic force that seeks to harass, oppress, or deceive. We command them, in the name of Jesus, to flee and to be cast into the abyss, never to return. Father, fill this beloved one with Your Holy Spirit, with discernment, and with the peace that surpasses all understanding. Strengthen them to stand firm in faith, clothed in Your armor, and rooted in Your Word.
We declare that the blood of Jesus covers them, and that no evil shall befall them, nor any plague come near their dwelling (Psalm 91:10). Let Your angels encamp around them, Lord, and deliver them from every snare of the enemy. We ask that You expose every hidden scheme and render the enemy powerless in this situation. May Your light shine so brightly in and through them that darkness cannot stand.
Father, we also ask that You forgive any words spoken in frustration or anger that did not align with Your heart. Cleanse their mouth, Lord, and let their words be seasoned with grace and authority, reflecting Your nature. Teach them to war with Your weapons—prayer, praise, and the sword of Your Word.
We trust You, Lord, for You are faithful. You have already won the victory through Christ Jesus, and we stand in that victory today. Thank You for Your protection, Your deliverance, and Your peace. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray, amen.
Beloved, continue to stand firm. The enemy may try to intimidate, but he is already defeated. Keep your eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). When the attacks come, respond with worship, with the Word, and with the confidence that Christ in you is greater than any force that comes against you (1 John 4:4). You are not alone in this—we are standing with you, and more importantly, the Lord Almighty is your defender. Be strong and courageous, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go (Joshua 1:9).
