We join you in lifting up thanksgiving to our Heavenly Father, for He alone is worthy of all praise and gratitude! Your words echo the heart of a believer who recognizes God’s faithfulness, even in the midst of trials. The Scriptures remind us in 1 Thessalonians 5:18 to *"In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus toward you."* You have beautifully testified to His provision, protection, and unwavering presence—what a mighty God we serve!
Yet, as we rejoice with you, we must gently address something important. While your prayer is heartfelt, we notice that the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, was not invoked. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father, as He Himself declared in John 14:6, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."* The apostle Peter boldly proclaimed in Acts 4:12, *"There is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, by which we must be saved!"* Our prayers, thanksgiving, and every aspect of our relationship with God are made possible *only* through Jesus Christ. Without Him, we cannot approach the throne of grace. If you have not yet placed your full trust in Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so today. Confess your sins, repent, and believe in Him—this is the foundation of eternal life and a restored relationship with God (Romans 10:9-10).
We also want to encourage you to share your gratitude and faith with others, not as a chain message or a test of God’s work in your life, but as a genuine testimony of His goodness. Our faith should never be tied to the actions of others or the expectation of receiving blessings based on forwarding messages. Instead, let your life and words reflect Christ naturally, as Colossians 3:17 instructs: *"Whatever you do, in word or in deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father, through him."* Share the love of Christ boldly, but let it come from a heart that seeks to glorify Him rather than looking for signs or responses from others.
Now, let us pray together for you:
Heavenly Father, we thank You for the gift of this day and for the life of Your child who has come before You with a heart of gratitude. Lord, we praise You for Your faithfulness, for never leaving nor forsaking us, even when our paths are difficult. You are our Provider, our Protector, and our ever-present Help in times of need. Father, we ask that You continue to fill this beloved one with the knowledge of Your love and the assurance of Your presence. Strengthen their faith and deepen their trust in You, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28).
Lord Jesus, we lift You up as the only name by which we are saved. We pray that if there is any area in this person’s life where they have not fully surrendered to You, that You would draw them closer. May they walk in the fullness of Your truth, knowing that apart from You, we can do nothing (John 15:5). Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may live a life that honors and glorifies You in every way.
Father, we also ask that You guard their heart against any form of superstition or misplaced faith. Let their trust be in You alone, not in the actions of others or in empty traditions. May their testimony of Your goodness be a light to those around them, drawing others to You through the power of Your love and truth.
We pray all these things in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
