Heart recovery
We join you in lifting up your mother before the throne of grace and we have been burdened for you as she has remained in the ICU for two long months. We pray together for her heart and for her kidneys and for complete restoration according to God's mercy and will.
We know how weary and helpless it can feel to watch a loved one suffer for so long, but we take comfort that our God sees her, knows her every heartbeat, and is present even in the ICU. He is the Lord who heals us as it is written in Exodus 15:26 and in Psalm 103:2-3 which says Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases. We also cling to Jeremiah 30:17 which says But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. Nothing is too hard for Him for Jeremiah 32:27 says Behold, I am Yahweh, the God of all flesh, is there anything too hard for me.
We also want to gently share something of great importance with you. Your request asks for prayer but does not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We want you to know that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved and that our prayers are heard. As Jesus Himself said in John 14:6 I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And in Acts 4:12 it says There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. So we come to God not on our own merit but through faith in Jesus who died for our sins and rose again, and we encourage you to put your trust fully in Him both for your mother's healing and for your own salvation.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the precious name of Jesus Christ Your Son. We lift up this dear mother to You and ask for Your healing hand upon her. Lord, You formed her heart and You know its every beat, we ask that You would restore function to her heart and strengthen it again. Lay Your hand upon her kidneys also and cause them to regain function. We pray for complete healing if it is Your will, and for wisdom and skill for the doctors and nurses caring for her. Sustain her body day by day and comfort her spirit. We pray also for her family who have waited and prayed for two months, grant them Your peace that surpasses all understanding and renew their strength as promised in Isaiah 41:10 which says Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Let them feel Your presence and know that You are near to the brokenhearted as Psalm 34:18 says. We trust her life into Your loving and sovereign hands, knowing that whether through healing on this earth or perfect wholeness in Your presence, You work all things for good for those who love You. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, amen.
We encourage you to continue to wait upon the Lord and to pour out your heart to Him honestly. Keep bringing every fear and every hope to Jesus, reading His Word and letting His promises anchor you. We are standing with you in prayer for your mother's heart and kidneys and for God's perfect will to be done in her life.

Your burden has been laid upon our hearts and we bring your mother before the Lord with you in prayer. To watch one so dear lie two months in the intensive care unit, with heart and kidneys failing in their strength, is a heavy and wearying trial, and we entreat the Lord to look upon her with compassion.
We pray that the great Physician who heals the broken in heart and binds up their wounds would lay His healing hand upon her. There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ, and not only His greater works but the very leaves of the Tree of Life are for the healing of the nations. A word from Him, a touch of His hand, can change the life blood and make the nature other than it was before. We ask that He would be pleased to restore function to her heart and to her kidneys, to strengthen what is weakened, and to grant wisdom and skill to those who care for her.
We remember also the promise that when the Lord dwells with His people they need not say, I am sick, for pardon and healing are joined together in His mercy. Whether He restores by slow recovery, as strength returns little by little, or by His own sovereign and immediate power, we acknowledge that every increase of strength is from Him and gives Him new claim upon our love and trust.
We pray too for you and all who love her, that in this long waiting your hearts may be kept in peace, perceiving His presence and hearing His voice, and that you may be sustained by that faith which looks to Jesus alone. May you be enabled to spread this case before the Lord in detail, trusting His sympathetic heart which reads secret groans and notes inward desires, and to rest in His holy will, knowing that His grace is mightier than all our weakness.
