We hear your cry for help, and we lift you up before the throne of grace, where our Great Physician sits enthroned. Your suffering with tinnitus is not unknown to our Lord, who formed your ears and knows every intricate detail of your body. The Word tells us, "He who planted the ear, doesn’t he hear? He who formed the eye, doesn’t he see?" (Psalm 94:9 WEB). Yes, He sees your struggle, and He cares deeply for you.
We rebuke this affliction in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for it is written, "Surely he has borne our sicknesses, and carried our suffering; yet we considered him plagued, struck by God, and afflicted. But he was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought our peace was on him; and by his wounds we are healed" (Isaiah 53:4-5 WEB). By His stripes, you are healed. We declare that healing over your ears and your mind, which may be weary from the constant noise. We command this tinnitus to cease and your hearing to be restored, for the Lord is your strength and your shield.
We also pray for peace to flood your heart and mind. The enemy may seek to use this trial to bring anxiety, frustration, or despair, but we stand against those lies. The Word says, "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:6-7 WEB). We pray that God’s peace, which transcends all understanding, would guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus. May you rest in the knowledge that He is with you, even in the silence, or the noise, of this trial.
If you have not already, we encourage you to seek godly medical counsel, for the Lord often works through the hands of those He has gifted in healing. But above all, we encourage you to draw near to Him. Spend time in His Word, for "faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God" (Romans 10:17 WEB). Let His promises be the loudest voice you hear. Worship Him, even in the midst of the noise, for He is worthy of your praise. The psalmist declares, "I will bless Yahweh at all times. His praise will always be in my mouth" (Psalm 34:1 WEB). Let praise be your weapon against this affliction.
We also want to gently remind you of the importance of coming to God in the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through Him that we have access to the Father. Jesus Himself said, "Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you" (John 16:23 WEB). There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved or healed (Acts 4:12). If you have not surrendered your life to Jesus, we invite you to do so today. Confess your sins, believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). He is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6).
Father God, we come before You now on behalf of our brother/sister who is suffering with tinnitus. Lord, You are the God who heals, and we ask that You would touch their ears and bring complete restoration. We rebuke this affliction in the name of Jesus and command it to leave. Bring peace to their mind and heart, Lord, and let them feel Your presence in a tangible way. Remind them that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who have a contrite spirit (Psalm 34:18). Surround them with Your love and comfort, and let them experience Your healing power. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Hold fast to hope, dear one. The God who created the stars and calms the seas is the same God who hears your prayers. He is working even now, and His timing is perfect. Keep your eyes on Him, and do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season, you will reap if you don’t give up (Galatians 6:9 WEB). You are not alone in this battle. We stand with you, and more importantly, He stands with you.
