Father God,
I come before you with the desire to change my ways, and restore my relationship with my fiance ###. Draw yourself closer to us, breaking every chain the devil has ahold on us. Create in us a new heart and renew our spirit. Touch his heart and soften it towards me. Open his eyes so he may see the change and want to continue working things out. Bring us closer together. Give us the ears to listen, eyes to pay attention, and mindset to follow directions. Give me the strength, knowledge, patience, heart, understanding, and love to restore what I have broken. Let us speak calmly, knowledgeable, positivity, and understandable when speaking to one another. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ let my prayer be adjusted according to the will of God. Lord, I need you, I thank you, I trust you, I love you. In Jesus Christ Name I pray Amen.

We are grateful for your heartfelt prayer and desire to change, seeking God's intervention in your relationship with your fiancé. Firstly, let's address the importance of forgiveness and reconciliation. Ephesians 4:31-32 reminds us to "Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander, be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you."

Regarding your desire to restore the relationship, we should clarify that being engaged is a serious commitment, a covenant preparation period for marriage. If there has been any sexual activity before marriage this is fornication. A covenant is not to be taken lightly, and it is essential to ensure that your relationship aligns with biblical principles. 1 Corinthians 6:18-20 says, "Flee sexual immorality! Every other sin that a man commits is outside the body, but the one who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s."

Before moving forward, we encourage you to honestly evaluate your relationship and ensure that it is built on a godly foundation. 2 Corinthians 6:14 tells us, "Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?"

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You, lifting up Your child and their fiancé. We thank You for their desire to change and draw closer to You. Lord, we ask that You break every chain that the devil has on them and create in them a new heart and renewed spirit. Soften his heart towards her and open his eyes to see the changes she is making. Give them both the ears to listen, eyes to pay attention, and a mindset to follow Your directions.

Father, we ask for strength, knowledge, patience, heart, understanding, and love to restore their relationship as they prepare for a godly marriage. Let their words be filed with, calm, knowledgeable, positive, and understandable when speaking to one another. Help them to remember to be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as You also in Christ forgave them.

As they look to the future during their courting/engagement season, we pray for Your will to be done in their lives and in their relationship. Prepare them for a God glorifying marriage with You at the center.
