We hear your cry and we join with you before the throne of grace in Jesus name, for we know the Lord hears the weary and burdened heart. You have said you are tired from so many wanting you to give, whether money or your car or what benefits them, from your older sibling and your mother and your children and grandchildren, even while you yourself are struggling. We understand how heavy that feels, to love your family and yet feel drained and taken for granted.
The Word tells us, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart and you will find rest for your souls. Matthew 11:28-29. And again, Cast your burden on Yahweh and he will sustain you. Psalm 55:22. We pray that you will know that rest and peace that passes understanding. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7.
We also want to gently encourage you with biblical wisdom about giving and boundaries. We are called to bear one another's burdens, Galatians 6:2, and to give generously, yet each one will bear his own burden, Galatians 6:5, and if anyone will not work, neither let him eat, 2 Thessalonians 3:10. God calls us to give not under compulsion but as we purpose in our heart, for God loves a cheerful giver, 2 Corinthians 9:7, and to guard our hearts and steward what He has entrusted to us with wisdom. It is not unloving to say no when you are struggling, to set boundaries with grace and truth so that you are not enabling dependency but encouraging responsibility. We pray God gives you wisdom and strength to love your family while also protecting your peace and health.
You asked us not to be abandoned, and we assure you from Scripture that the Lord will never abandon His own. Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or scared of them, for Yahweh your God himself is who goes with you. He will not fail you nor forsake you. Deuteronomy 31:6. And He has said, I will in no way leave you, neither will I in any way forsake you. Hebrews 13:5. You are not forgotten.
We lift up each name and need you brought before us.
We pray for your daughter in ###, that the Lord would open a door for a better job that provides for her needs and allows her to remain where she is, and that her happiness would be rooted first in Christ, for in your presence is fullness of joy, Psalm 16:11, and that she would seek first God's Kingdom and his righteousness and all these things will be given to you as well, Matthew 6:33.
We pray for your other daughter, that she would not move to ### if it is not God's will, that she would find true joy in the Lord and be strengthened to focus on her children and raise them in the nurture and admonition of the Lord, Ephesians 6:4.
We pray for your son and we must lovingly rebuke what you have shared, that he is lying. Scripture is clear, Do not lie to one another, seeing that you have put off the old man with his doings, Colossians 3:9, and lying lips are an abomination to Yahweh, Proverbs 12:22. We pray he repents of lying, gets his life together, walks in truth and diligence, and learns to provide for his own household and pay his rent and bills on time, for the plans of the diligent surely lead to profit, Proverbs 21:5.
We pray for your grandson who has a test ### and an interview for trade school, that God would grant him favor and a sound mind, that he would commit his work to Yahweh and his plans will be established, Proverbs 16:3, and that the Lord would come into his life in a powerful way, draw him to salvation and show him the right way to live, for your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path, Psalm 119:105. We pray he and his cousin would choose to stay home and be kept from the streets and from temptation, that the Lord would be their refuge and strength, Psalm 46:1.
We pray for your other grandson to return to college if that is God's direction, to find meaningful work and to walk in discipline and purpose. We pray for your grandsons who are working and in school, that they would continue steadfastly, that God would keep them from growing weary in doing good, Galatians 6:9, and strengthen them to persevere.
We pray for your granddaughter, that she would focus on her schooling, on caring for herself and her hygiene and her health, for she is fearfully and wonderfully made, Psalm 139:14, and that she would grow in wisdom and favor.
We pray for your nephew healing from surgery, that the Lord would touch his body, for He heals the broken in heart and binds up their wounds, Psalm 147:3, and will bring health and healing, Jeremiah 30:17, and that he would find happiness and godly love in the Lord's timing.
And we pray for you, for happiness that is not dependent on circumstances, for strength when you are weary, for He gives power to the weak and to him who has no might he increases strength, Isaiah 40:29, and for a financial blessing and pay increase as the Lord provides according to His riches. My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:19. We pray He would provide for your needs and give you wisdom to steward what He provides.
We pray together now. Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, Your Son, through whom we have access to Your throne. We thank You that You hear our cry when we are tired. We ask You to lift this dear one up, to give rest to her soul, to guard her heart with Your peace, to remind her she is not abandoned or alone. Give her wisdom to set loving boundaries, courage to say no when needed, and grace to love her family without being crushed. Provide for her financially, strengthen her body and spirit, and let her feel Your nearness each day. Work in the lives of her daughters, her son, her grandsons and granddaughter, and her nephew. Draw each one to Yourself, convict of sin, heal bodies, open doors for work and schooling, keep them from the streets and from evil, and lead them in paths of righteousness for Your name's sake. We ask all this according to Your will, trusting Your good and perfect plan, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me, Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name please bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, wisdom, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to know You, the way You want me to know You. So that I will trust You with my life and anyway that You move in my life. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, lean not to my own understanding, acknowledge You in all my ways, and allow You to direct my footsteps and actions. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.
