Beloved of All
Your love and concern for your mother and father comes through so clearly in this request, and it reflects the kind of protective, nurturing love God intends to be present in a family. It is a beautiful thing when children honor their parents and bring their needs before the Lord.
I am joining you in prayer for both of them. For your mother, that God would touch her body, help her in her battle with diabetes, and bring healing to the fungal infection in her lungs. For your father, that the Lord would bring relief to his eyes and restore his sight, take away his headaches, heal the problems with his urinary tract, reduce the swelling in his feet, steady his blood pressure, and grant him renewed strength and good health.
We bring these needs in the name of Jesus, because there is power in that name to heal. When Peter was questioned about how the lame man had been made well, he made it clear that it was through faith in the name of Jesus that the man was healed and stood before them whole. That same power is available today, and we ask for that healing work to be done in your parents.
As you pray for their physical health, I also encourage you to keep praying for their spiritual well being. Scripture reminds us that faith is personal and cannot be inherited. Each of us must come to know the Lord for ourselves, and parents have the responsibility to share the knowledge of God with their children, and children also have the privilege of sharing the hope of Christ with their parents. My prayer is that the Holy Spirit would fill their hearts with a deep understanding of God's love and His ways, and that they would know the joy and blessing of a life committed to Jesus Christ. That is the greatest healing anyone can receive.
We know that apart from the Lord there is no lasting remedy for what afflicts us, whether in body or soul. Our help must come from Him, and He is faithful to hear when we call on Him.
